New York City Sued for Giving Voting Rights
to Nearly 1M Foreign Nationals

The New York State Republican Party, naturalized American citizens, and a Democrat city councilman have filed a lawsuit against New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) over a new policy that gives voting rights to nearly a million foreign nationals. As Breitbart News has chronicled, Democrats on the 51-member New York City Council approved a plan last month that allows more than 800,000 foreign nationals with green cards, visas, and work permits the opportunity to vote in citywide elections so long as they have resided in the city for at least 30 consecutive days. Adams approved the plan this week

Huge numbers of foreign tourists would have temporary U.S. visas and many would be visiting in New York City for over 30 days. Would those facts qualify those foreign tourists to vote in New York City elections and then board a commercial aircraft and fly back to their home country?

Would be funny if the "foreign nationals" voted against the Democrats. Guaranteed, if that happened, the Democrats would sue to get the election over-turned because "foreign nationals" shouldn't have voted.

We should get out the work and have a million or so conservatives drive to NY on vote day and all vote repub. Then we can vote out all the dems and the people of NY would have a chance to get out of the mess dems have created.

What was the point of giving voting rights to foreign nationals in NYC? The Democrats already had a lock on the governor's mansion, and the two US Senate seats. Seriously, how many Republicans hold office in NYC? The only answer I can think of is getting more totalitarian types elected in NYC. More AOCs. Was this another ploy to fast-track naturalization for a bunch of foreigners? This really needs to be shot down.

The New York City Council is the City's legislature. It has written a law that the Executive, the new Mayor, Eric Adams wasted no time in signing. This is not a rule, a policy or a regulation; it is the law of the City of New York. Period. Look for the radical NYS Legislature and the seriously dumb new governor, Hochul to enact a statewide legislation doing the same thing. The level of stupidity and insanity that is now NYC and NYS governance is downright dangerous. There is no going back. NY is finished.

Three things people not from NYC don't know because the press has sat on it: 1) This idea went through the 51 member City Council (there were only 2 Republicans at the time who voted "no" ... as of January 1st there and now 5) but it passed overwhelmingly anyway! Mayor Adams (Dinkens redux) actually didn't sign it into law because the majority that passed it vastly exceeded his potential veto ... so he sat back and let it become law if no action is taken by the Mayor within 10 working days. This way, later he can claim he "didn't sign it". He also didn't want the veto to be overridden --- bad headlines and all. 2) NYC is crawling with so-called "immigrants" who supposedly have "green cards" (glorified visas) allowing them to stay but the ugly reality is that hundreds of thousands of these people are honest-to-goodness, bona fide illegals. Yes, people who sneaked into the country and found a friend or relative to live with in an outer borough or Manhattan itself. Don't believe that the Board of Elections will actually be checking credentials to make sure they have lived in NYC for a month and have "legal" permission! This is the weather balloon to see if anyone who shows up gets to vote. The 800,000 is a myth --- more like 1.1 million. 3) Even Demo-rats who have lived in NYC for years are not stupid. They know they are getting sheared and their pockets are getting picked. Even they won't support some of the crazy ideas about to come forward ... so they must be outnumbered somehow and this will do it. Basically these "elites" made a deal with the huge alligator that he would eat them last ... and now there is no one left and he's still hungry. Between health care now being dispensed by skin color and not need, special extra taxes on the wealthy, etc. I don't get why these educated & fairly wealthy dummies stay. No sympathy!

Local elections are NOT the true target. Once they start voting locally, they'll also start voting in Federal elections. There is no distinction between the two when it comes to being registered to vote and getting a ballot. There is no "local" registration and "Federal" registration. A registered voter is a registered voter period.

The United Kingdom has opened an inquiry into what worked, what didn’t, and what can be done better in light of the experience the country had during the COVID pandemic. Gee, what a concept. They are at just the beginning stages, so we have no idea how it will turn out, but early indications are that it at least won’t be solely a whitewash. Again, what a concept. Actually trying to learn something from experience rather than confirm one’s priors. It’s almost as if covering everybody’s asses isn’t the sole value. The opening of the inquiry laid some cards on the table: nobody had a clue what they were getting into, and nobody

One of the great frustrations I have with most of the Republican candidates for president, especially including Donald Trump, is that they are talking about Donald Trump all the time. The 2020 election is in the rearview mirror, and the 2024 election should be–must be–about America’s future, not whether and how much Donald Trump is being persecuted by his enemies or betrayed by the people that he hired. Trump keeps talking about himself, and everybody else is either talking about Trump or knocking Ron DeSantis.
