The New York State Republican Party, naturalized American citizens, and a Democrat city councilman have filed a lawsuit against New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) over a new policy that gives voting rights to nearly a million foreign nationals.
As Breitbart News has chronicled, Democrats on the 51-member New York City Council approved a plan last month that allows more than 800,000 foreign nationals with green cards, visas, and work permits the opportunity to vote in citywide elections so long as they have resided in the city for at least 30 consecutive days.
Adams approved the plan this week

Eric Adams....the black DeBlasio. Add to this a Soros DA who hides behind the shield of racism and New York is now in even deeper trouble, which no one thought possible.

Huge numbers of foreign tourists would have temporary U.S. visas and many would be visiting in New York City for over 30 days. Would those facts qualify those foreign tourists to vote in New York City elections and then board a commercial aircraft and fly back to their home country?

Would be funny if the "foreign nationals" voted against the Democrats. Guaranteed, if that happened, the Democrats would sue to get the election over-turned because "foreign nationals" shouldn't have voted.

As a poster here asked yesterday, what would keep people in other countries asking for absentee ballots?

We should get out the work and have a million or so conservatives drive to NY on vote day and all vote repub. Then we can vote out all the dems and the people of NY would have a chance to get out of the mess dems have created.

Every legal citizen of NYC should file their own lawsuit over this. Every non-citizen that votes dilutes the votes of legal citizens.
No "class action" lawsuit. A few million individual lawsuits, with every one of them demanding their day in court!!!

People were fooled by this hack...They were obviously hoping for the pipe-dream of a return to moderation. Is there no end to the calamity caused by America-hating leftists?

I just cannot understand why democrats want to destroy their own country. That is so foreign to everything I know and believe that I cannot wrap my brain around because it makes no logical sense. If this train wreck is what we get in one year, my goodness, there will be nothing left in three more years under this evil cabal.

Great idea #7 but they have to reside in the city for 30 consecutive days.
1. Who would want to at this point? 2. Who would we get to pay for that- it's a cesspool but it ain't cheap!

What Adams and MYC's city council did was un-American, illegal, and just plain wrong. Besides, there is a sufficient number of ignorant dim voters in NYC to assure non-stop dime victories going forward. He doesn't need non-citizens to vote in order to run up the score.

What was the point of giving voting rights to foreign nationals in NYC? The Democrats already had a lock on the governor's mansion, and the two US Senate seats. Seriously, how many Republicans hold office in NYC?
The only answer I can think of is getting more totalitarian types elected in NYC. More AOCs. Was this another ploy to fast-track naturalization for a bunch of foreigners?
This really needs to be shot down.

still cannot determine from headlines and articles just what has taken place. is this a
1. mayoral policy change
2. city council plan or
3. actual change in the law
seems to me that it has to be #3 if this is to have any legitamcy

The New York City Council is the City's legislature. It has written a law that the Executive, the new Mayor, Eric Adams wasted no time in signing. This is not a rule, a policy or a regulation; it is the law of the City of New York. Period. Look for the radical NYS Legislature and the seriously dumb new governor, Hochul to enact a statewide legislation doing the same thing.
The level of stupidity and insanity that is now NYC and NYS governance is downright dangerous. There is no going back. NY is finished.

In answer to #3's question: So, how is this clown different than the worst mayor in America?
I suggest, Lorie Lightfoot. She hasn't authorized non-citizen voting - yet.

Three things people not from NYC don't know because the press has sat on it:
1) This idea went through the 51 member City Council (there were only 2 Republicans at the time who voted "no" ... as of January 1st there and now 5) but it passed overwhelmingly anyway! Mayor Adams (Dinkens redux) actually didn't sign it into law because the majority that passed it vastly exceeded his potential veto ... so he sat back and let it become law if no action is taken by the Mayor within 10 working days. This way, later he can claim he "didn't sign it". He also didn't want the veto to be overridden --- bad headlines and all.
2) NYC is crawling with so-called "immigrants" who supposedly have "green cards" (glorified visas) allowing them to stay but the ugly reality is that hundreds of thousands of these people are honest-to-goodness, bona fide illegals. Yes, people who sneaked into the country and found a friend or relative to live with in an outer borough or Manhattan itself. Don't believe that the Board of Elections will actually be checking credentials to make sure they have lived in NYC for a month and have "legal" permission! This is the weather balloon to see if anyone who shows up gets to vote. The 800,000 is a myth --- more like 1.1 million.
3) Even Demo-rats who have lived in NYC for years are not stupid. They know they are getting sheared and their pockets are getting picked. Even they won't support some of the crazy ideas about to come forward ... so they must be outnumbered somehow and this will do it. Basically these "elites" made a deal with the huge alligator that he would eat them last ... and now there is no one left and he's still hungry.
Between health care now being dispensed by skin color and not need, special extra taxes on the wealthy, etc. I don't get why these educated & fairly wealthy dummies stay.
No sympathy!

Local elections are NOT the true target. Once they start voting locally, they'll also start voting in Federal elections. There is no distinction between the two when it comes to being registered to vote and getting a ballot. There is no "local" registration and "Federal" registration. A registered voter is a registered voter period.

You can rest assured that by the time the Governor's and AG races are run this fall ALL illegals will be eligible to vote, and of course, Dominion will "help" the Cabal get re-appointed.
