The Freedom From Religion Foundation honored Democratic Rep. Jared Huffman of California three years ago with what it calls its "Emperor Has No Clothes Award," named after the story by Hans Christian Andersen."In the story, two weavers con a gullible emperor by selling him expensive cloth they claim is so exquisite only the very wise can see it," said the foundation. "The emperor parades before his cowed subjects in his imaginary finery, until an astute child calls out: 'But the emperor has no clothes!'"Religion, the Foundation contends, has a similar imaginary base," it explained.

In the year 400 (about) Christianity was faced with citizens who were afraid of Christianity. They already had a culture and thought that Christianity would destroy the culture. The "freedom from religion" foundation could spring such fear. But the truth is they are out to destroy Christianity any way they can.

I believe In God. Yet it is not easy and for this reason I refresh my Christian Faith with the Apostles’ Creed every day. Most Christians do not believe this 2000 year old prayer: I believe in God, The Father almighy, Creator of Heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontious Pilate., Was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell. The third day He arose from the dead; He ascended into Heaven. Sitteth at the right hand of God the Father almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead; He ascended into Heaven , Sittth at the right hand of God the Faye almighty; From thence He will come to judge thhe living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, The Holy Catholic Church, The communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the flesh, and life everlasting. Amen. Not trivial to believe, but this is the prayer that brought free will and liberty to Western Civilization. If one compares the Latin and Spanish versions (not shown here) it becomes clear this single prayer controlled the evolution of the Spanish language. Belief in God is not easy, but enriches out brief lives.

They nailed my God to a cross and killed him! If they treated The Creator of The Universe like that, what should we expect? Faith in Christ is a free Gift apart from works! Non-believers just don’t know…. They never will unless the Law pierces their hearts and The Gospel offers Grace to an alarmed and repentant sinner!

While those of us who are Christians celebrate Advent and the birth of our Savior at Christmas time, pagans, like my son's father-in-law, are quick to mock and point out that many of our Christmas traditions come from paganism. So they see no hypocrisy in celebrating "Christ"mas. Unfortunately, in today's society we see much more paganism than Christianity at Christmas time. Even in our church we haven't had a children's Christmas pageant in years. There is usually some kind of social justice, feel-good program. I fear that many children don't even know that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus.

House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy appeared confident in his party's chances of taking back the majority in Congress during a TV interview on Sunday, as the midterm elections loom less than a year away. 'There's only a five-seat majority for the Democrats, the lowest it's been in a hundred years,' McCarthy told Fox host Maria Bartiromo. 'That number 25 is a very big number for Democrat retirements. In 2010 when we won the majority, 17 Democrats retired. Already 25 -- I expect that number to be up to over 30 Democrat retirements, because they see what the future holds, and they see the numbers.'

After all, the party’s entire modus operandi is to make people dependent on the government. If a person has a job and can take care of themselves, those aren’t the type of Americans the Democrat Party cares for. Here is the December jobs report, via Fox News: The Labor Department said in its monthly payroll report released Friday that payrolls in December rose by 199,000, sharply missing the 400,000 jobs forecast by Refinitiv economists. The unemployment rate, which is calculated based on a separate survey, dropped to 3.9% from 4.2%

Among Trump-friendly conservatives, there seem to be essentially two strands of sentiment about who should be the Republican candidate for president in 2024. One strand says, “Donald Trump, assuming he runs and his health is good.” The other strand exhibits various shades of dubiousness. Some profess admiration for what Trump accomplished in his first term, but lament his “divisiveness,” which they anatomize in various ways as a product of narcissism, impulsiveness, or simple bad character. A few in this group blame the divisiveness not on Trump, but the people, inside his administration and out, who spent the entirety of Trump’s first term trying to undermine his presidency.

There’s A Reason No One Likes Kamala Harris 38 replies

Most people look at the choice of Kamala Harris for Vice President and scratch their head. “Why would anyone pick a person so wildly devoid of political talent or even the basics of likability?” they wonder. The conventional wisdom is that she checked the right number of boxes to fulfill left-wing interest group demands, which is partially true, of course. Overlooked, however, is how there is one more, rather good and important reason Joe Biden, or really any politician, would pick someone like Harris: because by comparison, you’ll always look better. Harris is such a singularly grating personality that she polls lower than lemon juice on an open wound.

The new treatment is based off protein-based technology that has been used in other vaccines for decades and it does not use MRNA. India has already authorized production of 100 million doses per month of the new vaccine. Meanwhile, Texas scientists say not-for-profit vaccines will help defeat COVID-19 quicker.
