America's drug epidemic is the deadliest it has ever been, new federal data suggests. More than 100,000 people died of drug overdoses in the United States during the 12-month period ending April 2021, according to provisional data published Wednesday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That's a new record high, with overdose deaths jumping 28.5% from the same period a year earlier. Opioids continue to be the driving cause of drug overdose deaths. Synthetic opioids, primarily fentanyl, caused nearly two-thirds (64%) of all drug overdose deaths in the 12-month period ending April 2021, up 49% from the year before, the CDC's 's National Center for Health Statistics found.
274 deaths per day from drugs manufactured by and imported from our good friends in China. And somehow, they can escape the detection of our enforcement agencies!

My very FIRST thought was Gee, where are these drugs coming from? Vague ref to manufacture and smuggling. Entire article skipped over the record amount of the drug being seized at the border. Imagine what gets through!

"Even if we save one life." Masks, vaccines, lockdowns. There's more to public health and safety than COVID, and that's why we have elected officials in charge of government and not scientists.

Besides becoming a lying traitor, determined to destroy our nation, some MSM reporter should ask Obiden how it feels being a drug pusher?

And most of it is coming through the southern border. Thanks, biteme.

We shouldn't worry about 100k deaths a year. Especially when nearly 40k inflated deaths are dying of covid a year. /s

Don't take drugs. If you do, you might die. And I won't care.

That open Southern border gets America a lot more than just disease infected aliens, but it's worth it to the d-rats, because they're getting voters and cheap labor.

Much of the fentanyl is manufactured in Mexico and brought across the border thanks to Biteme and the demosluts.

Biden is killing more Americans with his open borders. The Democrats have blood all over themselves for what they are doing.

Suicides are likely way up, too. It's a natural consequence of having the boot of Communism on your neck daily. I can see plenty of ODs as a result of the same thing.

I've asked this question many times - - but I have still not received an answer from any of the Prohibitionists.
So here goes again - - - - How many people who DIDN'T ingest the drug were killed by it? Someone out there has to know the answer.

This is a direct result of the deliberate opening by the leftists of our southern border to mass invasion. The drug cartels recognize the open invitation. All who have enabled this are guilty of aiding and abetting murder.

Prescription deaths from the various codones are a small part of the 'opioid' problem. China and Mexico producing fentanyl and distributing are the problem.
But instead of the government dealing with the real problem, politicians and bureaucrats hassle physicians who are trying to take care of their patients.
They remind me of Steve Martin in the movie 'The Jerk' who is working at a gas station, and when a crazy sniper chooses Martin at random and shoots at Martin, Martin thinks the stacked up oil cans are the cause of the sniper's shots.

You never hear Biden say a word about all the illicit drug smuggling into the USA that he and his incompetent borderline policies have facilitated. Remember that when you vote in the November 2022 off year election.
