While all eyes were on Virginia last night, where Republican Glenn Youngkin pulled a massive upset, other elections were going on across the country. Candidates for local offices and state districts along with referendums on things like defunding the police occurred in places like Texas, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, and there’s a big upset in Texas that suggests doom is coming for Democrats in 2022.
That occurred in San Antonio where the race of HD118 took place. Republican John Lujan came out victorious in the majority-Hispanic district that Democrats carried by double-digits the last time around.

Congrats, San Antonio!

Crazy liberal Austin, TX voters rejected Prop A which would have required hiring hundreds of additional police officers. Austin is unfortunately a shat hole and the druggies, hippies and homeless want to keep it that way.

Sadly, instead of actually learning anything from the losses and very narrow wins (in what should have been big Demon-Rat victories) last night, the Demon-Rats will double-down on their socialist agenda of destroying this country.
Since Demon-Rats are totally incapable of comprehending logic, reason, or facts, they will just decide that the "lesson" from yesterday is that they aren't being socialist enough, and will go full-blown communist!!!

I trust Hispanics are noticing that the democrats wanted an issue instead of taking a deal that was crafted with President Trump, all because they didn't want to fund a fence/wall/barrier.
They've then allowed Hispanic women and children to be at the mercy of the smugglers who it's been reported have harassed and sexually assaulted large percentages of them during the process.

FTA: "At the end of the day, people are people and issues matter more than racial politics."
Depends. Those who break from race-based voting blocs are generally few, single digits. In my experience, Republicans are terrible dealing with people unlike themselves. Their cultures and values in many cases may be parallel, but then well-meaning people do stupid things. It's hard to bring Asians into the Republican fold when, for example, Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims are confronted with "Christianity" at every meeting. Politics is politics...

The Loudon effect is becoming the shot heard around the nation isn't it. The brazen arrogance and corruption, from the WH/congress on down to the state levels was on display the past year. After the Loudon rapist became known, it was like the shot heard round the world in its impact. Let us hope that this is just the beginning of the rebound of this nation.

Hispanics have finally realized the Democrap party is the party of all bad things happening to Hispanics...the few that win are those sucking off the Govt. Teet, scamming money from give away legislation (as usual). This makes a few crooks rich but screws the Populace at large. Hispanics, Welcome to the fight!

A number of ethnic groups have gradually shifted to Republican over time. Many Poles and Italians abandoned the Democrats in the '70s and '80s. I think Hispanics will follow the same trend.

So - o - o ... if the left believes that there is an increase in Hispanics voting Republican, how long until the wall construction starts up again? How long until sanctuary city status becomes illegal? How many of the two million invaders that have come here recently will be rounded up and sent back home?
Soon I hope.

The Let's go, Brandon! campaign is both a symptom of the discontent with the horror show that the Dems have created, and a way to stengthen our own team's resolve to resist this destruction.
Good news from a many places. Even here in eastern KS, we had some improvements in our school boards.
