Sunny Hostin claimed Wednesday that white women had voted for Republican Virginia Governor-elect so they could pretend slavery didn’t happen. Cohost Joy Behar began the segment on ABC’s “The View” by saying that Democrats had lost in Virginia and other places because they had failed to deliver on President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better agenda – a failure she said was due to holdouts on both the far left and moderate sides of the party – but Hostin placed the blame squarely on white women. Comments:

Keep it up. Keep attacking white women and keep playing the race card and see what it gets you. We've had enough.

What does she have to say about the 55 percent of Hispanics who voted for Youngkin? Does she know slavery was abolished? How about the 1877 Compromise? Per Wikipedia: The Compromise of 1877 was an unwritten deal, informally arranged among United States Congressmen, that settled the intensely disputed 1876 presidential election. It resulted in the United States federal government pulling the last troops out of the South, and ending the Reconstruction Era. Through the Compromise, Republican Rutherford B. Hayes was awarded the White House over Democrat Samuel J. Tilden on the understanding that Hayes would remove the federal troops whose support was essential for the survival of Republican state governments in South Carolina, Florida and Louisiana. Hayes received 185 electoral votes to Tilden's 184 electoral votes. Despite losing the election, Tilden won the popular vote with 4,301,000 votes to 4,036,000 votes for Hayes.[1] Under the compromise, Democrats who controlled the House of Representatives allowed the decision of the Electoral Commission to take effect. The outgoing president, Republican Ulysses S. Grant, removed the soldiers from Florida, and as president, Hayes removed the remaining troops from South Carolina and Louisiana. As soon as the troops left, many white Republicans also left, and the "Redeemer" Democrats, who already dominated other state governments in the South, took control. The exact terms of the agreement are somewhat contested as the documentation is insufficient.[2] Some black Republicans felt betrayed as they lost their power in the South that had been propped up by the federal military, and by 1905 most blacks were effectively disenfranchised by the now-democratically elected state legislatures in every Southern state.[3]

Slavery has been with us since there were more than two people walking this earth. It is still happening today. And, yes. There were free blacks in America who owned other black people. Indians seemed to enjoy attacking each other and claiming the survivors of the conflict as slaves. And African blacks sold other blacks to the white slave profiteers. So get off your soap box. Teach history, ALL of it. The good, the bad, the ugly, the glorious. And when you get to the destruction of the black nuclear family don't sugar coat it. Show what we all know and statistics prove. That black women having scores of children (especially boys) out of wedlock has caused mass poverty, crime, death, chaos. Try to explain black on black crime and why no one seems to be bothered by it. And there are oh so many other questions that could be asked and discussed during this lesson of our history. I had a student ask me why did we drop an atomic bomb on Japan and didn't I agree it was awful. While I agreed it was awful I also gave her a quick history lesson why it was necessary and actually saved millions of lives on both sides. She has never heard that side of the story. It appears a lot of our history is forgotten, exaggerated, distorted. We need honest factual history. We are the greatest country in the world, warts and all. They voted for Youngkin for many reasons but not this white supremist boogey man name calling we hear far too often. We don't want more government in our lives, we want less. Don't "give" us more, leave us alone and let us do for ourselves. They under estimate us by believing we just want hand out after hand out and that we need "them" to guide us through our lives. And it costs us "nothing". Yeah, right. And biden has complete control of his faculties.

Never forget that the Democrat Party IS the party of SLAVERY. As such, IF anybody is responsible TODAY for what happened MANY years ago, it is those who supported & support Democrat Party policies, as opposed to those who supported emancipation and equality. Remind me again who opposed the Civil Rights movement. Who supported the KKK? SO, If you need an illustration of HYPOCRISY take a look at the Democrats. Then look at their unhinged anti-America Marxist behavior. America has had quite enough of this evil.

Instead of calling suburban white women racists I would suggest the Dems look at a big reason why they lost. Telling women, even liberal leaning women that they have no business being involved in their child’s education doesn’t sound like much of a vote-getter to me. The Democrat Party is now so provincial, insular and ensconced in their ideological bubble that they have no idea what matters to the middle class. They constantly push letting males in female restrooms under the guise of protecting trannies. I doubt that’s a winning strategy especially after the rape of the female student in VA by someone “identifying “ as female. Their silly woke stuff is stupid and will eventually turn more voters against them.

Six Things We Learned From The Kyle Rittenhouse Trial 8 replies

In this installment of our weekly Sunday Six conversation, PF Whalen and Parker Beauregard of The Blue State Conservative discuss six takeaways from the recently concluded trial of Kyle Rittenhouse. #6: We learned that leftwing activists now believe they can intimidate participants in the justice system into bowing to their objectives, without any boundaries. PF: There were protesters in front of the courthouse from the beginning of the trial – an increasing amount of them, in fact – and while some were pro-Rittenhouse, the majority were anti-Rittenhouse. Those protesters were demanding that Rittenhouse be found guilty and were extremely vocal in their pleas.

Democrats need a positive moral vision that would start by rejecting the idea that we are locked into incessant conflict along class, cultural, racial and ideological lines. It would reject all the appurtenances of the culture warrior pose — the us/them thinking, exaggerating the malevolence of the other half of the country, relying on crude essentialist stereotypes to categorize yourself and others. It would instead offer a vision of unity, unity, unity. That unity is based on a recognition of the complex humanity of each person — that each person is in the act of creating a meaningful life.
