Is The U.S. Up To China’s Challenge?

News that China has launched a hypersonic missile capable of carrying a nuclear payload around the Earth should be both a wake-up call and a call to action for America. Unfortunately, the current administration and the military it leads are woefully inadequate to the task. The response from the Biden White House to the news that the Chinese now have a seriously threatening weapon that could vaporize American cities would have been laughable if it weren’t so frightening in its absurd naivete. White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, responding to a Financial Times report that the Chinese “launch in August of nuclear-capable

I have three answers to that No, No and Yes. First "No", regardless of our political climate, China has stolen the march on us and are ready to roll up our flank and we cannot possibly respond quickly enough if they were to hit us now. Second "No", roughly half of our country believes in a political ideology firmly intrenched in the denial of fundamental realities while believing in farcical fantasies. A subset of which is the denial that there are people bent on our destruction and taking everything we have eared away from us. We do not have a critical mass of collective will to rapidly close the technology gap so that current "No" could become "Yes" any time soon. Finally the "Yes" part, we have the ability to respond in both defensive as well as offensive capabilities to meet and exceed the Chinese capabilities. Can we do it fast enough, will we do it fast enough, I doubt it for lack of will.

You have to remember that the CCP bought and paid for President Biden and his family which was one of the smartest moves in modern warfare history. He will hesitate to use the nuclear football and that will give the Chinese all the time they need to rain total destruction on America. I don't really think this will happen, but it is on the table.

As usual, the answer involves common sense. How much money and effort is China putting into Climate Change, the support of an unproductive race, loading their country with illegal immigrants and the promotion of sexual perversions compared to the billions we are pouring down the drain?

Hypersonic just means “faster than sound” That’s nothing new. Your run of the mill passenger jet could be “hypersonic” other than the nuisance of causing sonic booms, as I understand it. It is the word Hyper” that seems to have alarmed people.

The US is up for the challenge. We've been working on our own hypersonic missiles for awhile now. And, we've been researching countermeasures. The question isn't whether the US us up for the challenge. But whether the Biden regime and treasoncrat party is up for it. We can't upgrade the military with prolific social spending and the purging of active duty forces.

Has this "hypersonic" missile's existence been "confirmed" by anyone but a newspaper? I saw where the Chinese deny the story. Experts commenting use the FT story as their basis. Is this another propa-hype put out by defense interests creating a threat to which large sums must be appropriated to counter? I'm skeptical...where's the beef?

A few thoughts: -From what I have read, this sounds a lot like the Boeing X-20 Dynamic Soarer (Dyna-Soar) atmosphere-skip spacecraft project from 1957-1962. Did the ChiComs base their project on basic research conducted by U.S. scientists and paid for by U.S. Taxpayers? -You can thank The HornDog, Slick Willy Clinton, for selling the ChiComs the American guidance systems needed to guide their rockets - his 'reason' was to make it cheaper to launch satellites (by letting the ChiComs undercut American companies), but putting in different coordinates was all that was needed to convert this 'civilian' use to 'military' ICBM guidance units. Previous to Slick's sale of American guidance systems, the ChiComs could not get a rocket into orbit. -You can also thank The Horndog for making it possible for the ChiComs to steal America's W87 and W88 miniaturized atomic warhead designs. You may recall during the HornDog administration that the ChiComs had 'scientific exchange' scientists at the Los Alamos atomic weapons development laboratory (!) You may also recall the 'minority' Energy Secretary (I forget her name) visiting the facility and making a big stink over the different color of the various access badges, different colors for different areas with different levels of security. "This is RAAAACIST!" she screamed....... so all the badges were reworked to be the same color, and look the same at a casual glance. Funny thing, a year or two later it came out in the news that the ChiComs had 'acquired' the W87 and W88 warhead designs. Any connection? (The dots are all right next to each other..... draw the line!) Our more recent Democ'RAT occupants of the Oval Office, an America-hating Son of Kenya, and now the Chinese-bought Dementia Hand Puppet complete the picture, and it is a dark picture indeed.

I&I/TIPP Poll: Media Trust Took A Serious

Forr the big media that dominate America’s cultural and political life, 2021 was a dismal year when it comes to public trust. The prospects for 2022 are little better, as both the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, midterm elections and a growing problem with inflation loom. Year-end data from the I&I/TIPP Poll show little public optimism that the media will do a better job this year. The data for the I&I/TIPP Poll Media Indexes stem from a survey of 1,301 adults, conducted online from Dec. 1-4 by TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence, I&I’s polling partner. The poll’s margin of error is +/-2.8 percentage points.

A long-overdue legislative enactment and signing provides an occasion for two equally long overdue observations on an I&I editorial regarding “pesky climate models.” Citing a study on pre-carbon dioxide concentration Arctic Ocean warming, your friendly neighborhood editorialists concluded, “(W)e’re confident that eventually the (climate alarmists’) story will collapse.” Observation No. 1 is that the case for renewables, climate alarmists’ chosen solution, is also folding like a house of cards in a Richter 9.5 earthquake. It’s not just that renewables are so intermittent and unreliable that they must be legislated and subsidized; eat up land; will require more

After more than 11 months in office, with inflation skyrocketing and the country’s superpower status plummeting, Americans can’t stand either President Joe Biden or his vice-presidential-beneficiary of-affirmative-action, Kamala Harris. Every time Harris tries to help herself, she hurts herself. As border czar who for three months avoided visiting the Mexican border, Harris relented only after plans were made known of former President Donald Trump and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott traveling to the frontier – and then she briefly visited only a border patrol station about nine miles from the actual border, far removed from where masses of illegal migrants have been crossing.

President Joe Biden, the fellow who promised to end the coronavirus pandemic if we’d just elect him to the nation’s highest office, has officially given up the battle he swore he’d win. It’s now someone else’s problem. Candidate Biden swore before the entire country just days before the 2020 election that “I’m going to shut down the virus.” But not only has he not stopped its spread, under current trends it will have within a month – the coming winter of death – killed more on his watch than it did while Donald Trump was president. Nearly 385,000 have died from

When Sen. Joe Manchin said he couldn’t vote for “Build Back Better,” it might have seemed like President Joe Biden’s multi-trillion spending spree had finally met its demise. If you think so, remember Obamacare. Bad ideas never die in Washington, particularly when it comes to expanding the size, scope, or intrusiveness of the federal government. And sure enough, once the dust cleared on Manchin’s announcement, rather than admit the massive Build Back Better plan was a terrible idea that would create huge new entitlements, add trillions to the national debt, and that most people believe it will do them more harm than good, Democrats immediately

To hear the media tell it, Americans are bitterly and broadly divided over COVID-19 and the policies enacted to mitigate its spread and save lives. But while there remain significant differences among political affiliations, the degree of agreement among Americans on COVID-19 policies is noteworthy, new data from the I&I/TIPP Poll show. Media coverage of COVID-19 this year has often focused on the degree to which the “right” and “conservatives” have refused to heed government imposed mandates and rules to deal with the fast-spreading virus. Coverage, as numerous studies and reports have shown, has been highly politicized. To find out if this is true, the December I&I TIPP Poll asked

Last week the White House warned the unvaccinated that “you’re looking at a winter of severe illness and death for yourselves, your families.” President Joe Biden followed up in today’s news conference with a similar though less-shrill message, even adding that Americans could “safely celebrate the holidays with” family and friends only if vaccinated. Apparently, the administration has been consulting with the ghost of Jack Kevorkian. Just in time for Christmas, the ghoulish Biden executive branch has cranked up a climate of fear that in the blue regions has been overheating for months.

When Joe Biden was running for president from the basement of his Delaware home, he issued what he described as a seven-point plan “to beat COVID-19.” More than a year later, Biden announced his latest plan, which basically repeats everything he promised he’d do when running for president. The big news announced on Tuesday was that the administration would buy and distribute half a billion at-home tests to anyone who asks because, he said, testing is key to getting COVID under control. But Biden promised the same thing last year. In fact, the very first item on his seven-point plan was to “fix Trump’s testing-and-tracing fiasco

It’s Christmas week and most Americans are focused on family, travel, presents, and, hopefully, the true meaning of the holiday. Meanwhile, our cognitively challenged president will spend much of the this week unaware of what day it is while the world might be descending into the opening shots of the next world war. A particular line from our Thursday editorial reminded us of something we’ve been seeing for some time now: claims by the media that Republicans in general and Donald Trump in specific are authoritarians. It’s a truly malignant form of psychological projection. The comment referenced in our observation that dissent is no longer the highest form of patriotism that struck us is from Northeastern University journalism professor and public radio panelist Dan Kennedy. He said, with zero supporting evidence, that the Republican Party “has embraced authoritarianism and voter suppression.”  CORRECTION*
