China secretly tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile which orbited the globe in a terrifying display of military strength which left the US stunned.A report from the Financial Times, which cited five unnamed intelligence sources, said the Chinese military launched the Long March rocket in August carrying a hypersonic glide vehicle around the globe before cruising towards its target, which it missed by about two dozen miles. The incident has left US intelligence officials stunned, sources say, as it shows 'China has made astonishing progress on the development of its hypersonic weapons'.
Must easier when your military isn't focused on being woke, pissing away billions on giveaways to your enemy, and not running troops out of the service for refusing the clot shot.

Proving that 'intelligence' is not a requirement in the deep state intelligence community.

#5..Not sure if I know if this is right but I assumed it was in space, no gravity, and brought back for target hit. I do not think this is new stuff and the spooks in intelligence are knocking at the door for more money.

US "intelligence" has spent all their resources looking for faux white rage and transphobic domestic terrorist patents who don't want teen boys raping their girls in the bathroom.

Anyone in Military Intelligence who didn't foresee that the Chinese, who stole (or were given) this technology back during the Obama Administration, wouldn't do something with it, TENDER YOUR RESIGNATIONS IMMEDIATELY!!!
Hell, they've had this on Youtube, promising to kill America once they'd perfected it.
I'd rather have Everyone above Lt. Colonel to take a flying leap into a volcano - plenty in Hawaii - and leave the military to REAL SOLDIERS!!
Now... Asshats... What are you going to do about it? What is your response? Or are you going to crawl under your 100 year old oak and teak desks and suck your thumbs? Finish ours! Mobilize it! Work out countermeasures. Hell! If that thing hits a cloud of balloons at that speed, it should be like hitting a brick wall!! Be creative! Be daring! Be observant. A hyperglide vehicle works best in thin atmosphere. I'm willing to bet it has to decelerate as it homes in on its target; and the reason it missed its target by 26 miles was a combination of speed and 'skipping', much like we worry about spacecraft returning to earth after a mission. You come in too fast, to shallow and you can skip right back out of the atmosphere.
Think! You morons! Think!!

While I do not hold our intelligence apparatus in high esteem, I seriously doubt they were really surprised. Why would they reveal the existence of sources?

So much for the so-called federal interagency intelligence functions in DC and abroad that are said to have been caught off guard.

Please forward this update to the Intelligence Chiefs. China is building an space station, and has entered the space race. And more, FYI, they have all your emails, personnel files, have identified all your agents, and know where you are right now. In short, they have enough information to get you fired anytime they want.

How in the hell is this ONE BIT different than any other of the tens of thousands of satellites that we, and a dozen other countries have launched? One orbit....BFD. We can do a million orbits, drop it any time we want.
This is DM baloney, NOT a new capability.

Said it years ago, whoever controls space will control their destiny. Sadly its China who wants to control the world. Remember we were way ahead in in space technology until good ol America hating Obama canceled the Shuttle program. Now we have to ask the Russians for a ride to the space station. And the illiterates in this country still don't get it.

Our woke CIA has allowed dozens of deep-cover assets to be neutralized. No wonder we didn't see this coming.
Will our flower-powered DoD mount a catch-up? We all know the answer to that.

The first WTC bombing by the filthy islamofascist terrorist pigs, the two embassy bombings, the Navy ship bombing, 9/11/01, all 'catching U.S. intelligence officials off guard.'
So did the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Perhaps if they stopped shoveling millions of dollars to fat old professors, sitting in pubs, making up fiction...

It sounds to me like the ChiComs built a missile based on Boeing's late 1950's X-20 'Dyna-Soar' (Dynamic Soarer). The Dyna-Soar would fly into space then 'skip' across the upper edge of the atmosphere at hypersonic speeds. I would not be surprised if the ChiComs profited from the basic research funded by U.S. Taxpayers, as apparently often happens. (A recent example being the WuFlu research being funded by Fauchi using NIH Taxpayer money channeled through an intermediary grant program.)
