The glee of the coastal elites in the corporate media following President Joe Biden’s authoritarian vaccine mandates is palpable. The residents of the bubble think they are making life difficult for Trump supporters. Taking away the ability of their ideological enemies to earn a living filled them with smug satisfaction, judging by the commentary from MSNBC’s Joy Reid and others.
They seem a little too invested in the narrative the network executives have been feeding them. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 vaccine programs, it has been evident that minorities were getting vaccinated at lower rates. While the geniuses in the media believe the mandates will put the screws

Harvard University was founded in 1636 in order to train an elite class of Puritan ministers. Nearly four centuries later, the school has not abandoned that mission. In a campus-wide email sent Friday, the university weighed in on an ecclesiastical controversy that has dogged the secular clergy of our own time: how to eat in public with a mask on.
"Eating and drinking together are a cornerstone of human social interaction," Harvard’s health director Giang Nguyen acknowledged in the email. But there are still "efficient" ways to "minimize the time spent unmasked and in close proximity."

The First District Court of Appeals in Florida has lifted the pause on the state’s school mask mandate ban. The measure is temporarily back in effect, and it is once again unlawful for Florida public schools to require students to wear masks in their facilities.
In the ruling, the court granted the State of Florida’s request to reinstate the stay of Judge John Cooper’s Wednesday decision, which briefly permitted public schools to reimpose mask mandates in a rejection of Florida governor Ron DeSantis’s appeal.
The prohibition on mask mandates in Florida is likely to remain in place for the remainder of the fall school semester until the appellate court

Loudspeaker: ‘Take cover until all clear is heard.’ A report around 9:30 p.m. Thursday said an active shooter was in the National Air and Space Intelligence Center in Area A at the base, which prompted the lockdown and for security forces to sweep the building, Chris Warner, command information chief of 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs, said late Thursday night outside the base. Security forces were still clearing the building as of 11:30 p.m., Warner said, and it is not yet known whether any shots were fired or if anyone was injured, he said.

Joe Biden today announced sweeping new coronavirus vaccine mandates of the kind he and key administration officials have previously said they would not impose.
Biden will require that all federal employees be vaccinated, with no option for those who prefer to be regularly tested instead. More audaciously, Biden will mandate all employers with more than 100 employees to require that their employees be vaccinated or, alternatively, that the employees take weekly coronavirus tests.
The White House estimates that Biden’s new policy will affect about 80 million workers — about two-thirds of the country’s workforce. Businesses that ignore the mandate could be fined up to $14,000 per violation.

Private employers have already declared they will file lawsuits against President Joe Biden’s authoritarian nationwide vaccine mandate for private companies with over 100 employees.
On Thursday, President Biden implemented a new mandate that requires all companies that employ over 100 employees to enforce a vaccine requirement on their workers. Biden’s mandate ignores individuals who have already had coronavirus and have built immunity to the illness.
Fresh off of the heels of Biden’s announcement, Charlie Kirk and others made clear they will not force

Republican governors across the country are sounding off after President Biden vowed to “get them out of the way” if they resisted his mask and vaccine mandates.
During his speech at the White House on Thursday, President Biden said that he would use his powers to override any governor that refuses to go along with his mandates.
“Right now, local school officials are trying to keep children safe in a pandemic while their governor picks a fight with them and even threatens their salaries or their jobs. Talk about bullying in schools,” Biden said.
“If they’ll not help, if these governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as president

Perhaps it’s because we have been discussing this moment for over a decade; or perhaps it’s because we’ve already chosen our tribe amid this league of crazy; or perhaps it’s just because we don’t like ‘them’ in the first place; but whatever it is, this announcement today by the White House to cleave society into vaxxed -vs- non-vaxxed status is actually a little funny. Good luck with it. Eyes of a mouse. Ears of an elephant. Heart of a lion, and the mindset of an insurgent.
This ain’t new. Or as we say amid my social circle: “We done knew.”

If Code Pink demonstrators start screaming during a congressional hearing, should they be charged with a felony and sentenced to 20 years in prison? They have not been, and as much as I dislike Code Pink, they should not be. Thirty days in the hole seems like a sufficient sentence.
But the federal statute that criminalizes “obstructing an official proceeding” of Congress makes such obstruction a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. And according to the Washington Post, federal prosecutors are applying that statute to the protesters — at least 235 of them

President Biden’s new constitutionally dubious national vaccine mandate for mid to large businesses, announced Thursday, gave the broadcast networks the cover they needed to lash out at the unvaccinated viciously. They rolled around in violent rhetoric as they praised the President for “taking off the gloves,” taking a “hammer” to bear against them, and making them “pay the consequences.” One even scoffed at the legal questions and suggested Biden was just doing what he needed to do.
NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt was the most overtly violent as he described Biden as pulling out a blunt weapon with which to beat the unvaccinated into submission. “

Today, Joe Biden took to the podium and officially announced a vaccine mandate from the federal level hitting all private businesses with over 100 employees. In making that announcement, he trashed the unvaccinated, threatened them, and generally stoked the flames of division in such a way that should worry everyone. He also asserted himself as a dictatorial figure, able to push governors “out the way” who push back on his tyrannical orders.
I’ll go ahead and say it before we get into the clips: This is the most disturbing speech I’ve ever heard from a president. Here’s the president trashing the unvaccinated

The front page of Wednesday’s New York Times warned “Big Business Mobilizing to Battle Tax Proposals.” The text box fretted: “Democrats’ Ambitions for Social Spending Are on the Line.” Trillions of dollars of new spending, in fact, as well as tax hikes on “the rich.” Reporters Jonathan Weisman, Alan Rappeport, and Jim Tankersley clearly took the side of President Biden and liberal big-spending Democrats.
Congressional Democrats always knew their battle plan for raising taxes on corporations, large inheritances and the superwealthy would not survive initial contact with the enemy.
They just didn’t realize that enemy would be North Dakota-nice Heidi Heitkamp.
“The enemy”?
