Texas political figure George P. Bush failed to win an endorsement from former President Donald Trump on Monday for the state attorney general race. The former president endorsed current Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for reelection — even though he is under investigation by the FBI for dealings with political donors and was indicted for securities fraud.“Ken has my Complete and Total Endorsement for another term as Attorney General of Texas,” Trump wrote. “He is a true Texan who will keep Texas safe—and will never let you down!”

Golly, how surprising, considering all of the "endorsements" the Bushes have given Trump.

Paxton is a target because he is doing a great job as AG.

George P. Bush has given evidence that he is not the establishment flunky that the rest of the Bush family is. However, other Bush's have done similar things only to reveal themselves later. George P. Bush should be judged on his own merits, not on the failings of his family. However, he has a higher standard of evidence to meet than someone without his family connections.

Yes, individuals should be judged on their own merits; however, when politics becomes a "Family Business" then each individual running for political office should rightly be judged by the Family as whole. The Bush family has been a stain on this country for decades.

The Bushes have been a tremendous disappointment. I donated and campaigned for them. I defended them to my Canadian relatives. Came close to being a “Bushie”. Then W cozied up to Bill Clinton. That was the end for me. Trump is right. Don’t trust them. Bush and Cheney!! Need I say more?

I would be surprised if Pres Trump had endorsed George P.
As a Texas resident, I have had the honor twice every four years to keep my "No More Bushes" pledge by not voting for George P. Bush (primary and general election, I usually vote Libertarian or Prohibition party for his race in the general election). I look forward to only having to do that once in 2022 as I vote against him and renominate Ken Paxton for another term.

Although he says some of the right things, I don't trust him either.

I knew President Trump would stick by the proven conservative AG Paxton. Wow, Trump’s choice of words certainly made it crystal clear too. He is not fooled one bit by the family or the huge Bush, Inc. operation here in Texas.
Agree with #5. Bushes are a stain on Texas too.

If I was him I wouldn’t worry too much about trumps endorsement. Just run his campaign and let the voters decide.

I've had enough of the Bush family. Their much vaunted "graciousness" is only directed towards their political enemies.

With P Bush's screwing with the Alamo Cenotaph, he hung himself with most Texans.
The Republican Party of Texas had a referendum on the November 2019 election after the Texas Legislature failed to act to protect it and approximately 98% said a resounding NO to moving the Cenotaph.
Ignoring that slam dunk referendum, P Bus continued with the plan against Texan's wishes until the Texas Historical Commission got the message and shut the moving of the Cenotaph down with a resounding 29,000 mail and e-mail contacts from angry Texans.
The 2019 Legislature and the 2021 Legislature DID NOT take any action to protect monuments in Texas even though it was one of the top priorities of the delegates of the Republican Party State Convention. Lots of politics being played by elected officials against the will of the BASE of the party--
Everyone calling everyone else RINOs trying to ACT conservative or more conservative than the next person. We seem to have forgotten that "name calling" and trying to pin words on others is a tactic of the socialists.... Lest we forget, a RINO is one who calls themselves a republican, but who consistently votes like a demonrat socialist--
I doubt P Bush is a socialist, but he sure doesn't act like a conservative republican except at election time!

So…is George P “guilty until proven innocent”? Because that’s how most of these posts sound. Not exactly a “conservative” attitude.

Please listen: George P. Bush is saying the right things now, but in reality he is a turncoat. He was point man for the move to "re-imagine" the Alamo and remove the Cenotaph (empty memorial tomb) from the front of the Alamo. He is no friend to conservative Texans (or any Texans, for that matter) and needs to go back to Florida. Now he is making shallow statements in support of the Alamo, but it is just lip service to be elected. He is of Mexican descent, and it shows in his politics.
