President Biden has unveiled his reformed child tax credits which will see American families paid up to $3,600 to help raise each of their children. The raise, unveiled as part of Biden's $1.8 trillion American Families Rescue Plan, will see families with children aged under six receive a monthly payment of $300 per child - equivalent to $3,600 - in 2021.Families with children aged between six and 17 will receive $250 a month, or $3,000 over the course of a year. Cash will automatically start hitting the bank accounts of families who have filed 2019 and 2020 federal taxes from July 15.
And as usual, those of us considering retirement will have to continue to work, and watch our savings shrink as inflation and the government steals from us...

How many others experienced the joy of paying taxes this past year only to see Federal money deposited into their adult children's bank accounts. These are adult children who may have had low income but were far from destitute as they were living off their parents largesse while attending college. A medical practitioner told me his son got money having just graduated from an expensive medical school paid entirely by the parents but not yet earning a salary.

There is already a baby industry whereby the mother has a bunch of children and lives off government payments, the father not listed.

But, but...what about Gaia, the population bomb, Earth's resources, climate change...ALL being damaged by encouraging more revenue-generating children for welfare queens?
No, we get it. This isn't compassion. It's destruction of America by Cloward-Piven strategy...overwhelm the system/economy/taxes. Somebody clue in the RINOs.

My niece's husband died almost two years ago. Between SS and this payment she has just received a $27,000 raise. She works and now makes close to $60,000 a year.

These people will now have another reason to not return to work. They will also get a big surprise when their usual big federal tax return doesn't come next year because they got it spread out over the past year. They will be mad and feel robbed.

People with rugrats already get income tax deductions. Of coarse you can't buy a new flat screen or sneakers like you could with a direct payment.

In Washington, D.C. in the 1960s unwed mothers were having more babies to increase their welfare payments: nonsensical Democrat policy that results in more illegitimate babies; however Democrats facilitate abortions in part because they avoid the federal government expending $millions for such welfare.

What the Marxist Communist voters don't realize is the $300 per month replaces the annual unearned child tax refundable which was about $3,000 annually per child on average up to two children under 16 years old when they filed their federal tax return. I think they believe they will be getting this monthly change plus their annual return.

This is about the 2022 elections, and how to hook many of the middle-class onto this new $300 per child per month payment scheme.
Anyone looking to remove it down the road, will be labeled mean-spirited, just like the democrats used similar issues in the past against Republicans.
It's an early payoff for their vote.
Hopefully the Republicans just let it happen, and work on other things. Don't take the bait!

They ought to stipulate that the parents have an intact household, but of course they will not do that. Some people could use that money to help pay for their kids' parochial school tuition, however. It's not enough to cover it but it would help a lot.

The audacity of it all. Single mothers already have a cottage industry. The more kids, the bigger the checks.
In the meantime, the SS increase for the elderly this and most years is peanuts. If you are single, sick, and elderly, you live in poverty.
