Liz Cheney claimed Trump did 'the most dangerous thing' a president has ever done by 'inciting' the January 6 Capitol attack as she revealed many GOP lawmakers didn't vote for impeachment because they feared for their safety. 'I think what Donald Trump did is the most dangerous thing, the most egregious violation of an oath of office of any president in our history,' Cheney told David Axelrod on an episode of his The Axe Files podcast, which was recorded Saturday but released Monday.'I have had a number of members say to me, 'we would have voted to impeach, but we were concerned about our security,''

Kamala Harris is under some kind of pressure.
It's hard to say what, given the working thesis (first seen in a tweet by Newt Gingrich) that Joe Biden appointed her to the position of border czar because he knew she would do nothing.
But it's pretty obvious there were signs of strain in her face as she met with the president of Guatemala on Monday and then held a dual press conference. She looked like hell.
Here are some camera shots from the NBC News report on the television set: [Snip for pictures] She actually looks pretty lost, uncertain, way out of her comfort zone. Not ready for prime time.

Former President Donald Trump revealed Monday he would consider ditching Mike Pence for Florida’s tough Gov. Ron DeSantis as his 2024 presidential election running mate.“Sure I would … I would certainly consider Ron,” Trump, 74, told Fox Business‘ Stuart Varney in a phone interview Monday.“I was at the beginning of Ron,” he said of the 42-year-old former Navy officer who graduated both Yale and Harvard Law School. “I was the first one to endorse him when he came out as a congressman that a lot of people didn’t know, and my endorsement helped him tremendously,” Trump said.

Barack Obama is back in the public eye, having recently sat down with CNN to rattle off his list of grievances against the Republican Party. In his typical smarmy fashion, he managed to pretend that the GOP is trying to “rig the game” of elections by having (gasp!) general standards at the state level. You see, if you can’t vote three months in advance by handing your ballot to a harvester, do you really have the right to vote?Obama also weighed in on the cultural battle surrounding the teaching of Critical Race Theory in schools. Here was his response.(Tweet)

A family of six came under fire along a stretch of Missouri highway last week while on their way to vacation, and a 22-year-old mother is accused of pulling the trigger. According to police, the family from Tennessee was heading to Kansas City on I-55 in their Nissan Pathfinder on Friday when a Ford Focus started tailgating the SUV. The Pathfinder driver braked to tell the Focus to slow down or go around, KMOV reported. The Focus sped up, got next to the Pathfinder, and the passenger, Shanyka Fouche, pulled out a gun and began shooting, police told KMOV. Bullets flew

THORNTON, Colo. — A carousel horse at a park has been removed after the city was made aware of it's insensitive imagery. Over the weekend, M.J. Jimenez was riding the park's carousel with her 8-year-old niece. That's when she noticed the horse in front of her. "My mouth dropped open when I realize it was a Native American head in a saddle bag," said Jimenez of the carousel. The carousel was made in the 1920s. It was purchased by the City of Thornton from a local store that went out of business. It was moved to Carpenter Park in 2013.

Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton weighed in on Republican state legislatures pursuing basic election integrity measures in their respective states, contending that it “shouldn’t be a partisan issue” to reject such efforts.
In a Monday social media post, Clinton likened the left’s radical attempt to overhaul U.S. election — stripping states of basic election safeguards such as voter ID — to “preserving America’s democracy.”
“Preserving America’s democracy shouldn’t be a partisan issue. But the fact is that Republican-led legislatures have enacted at least 22 news laws this year restricting access to voting,” she claimed alongside a map from the Brennan Center for Justice.

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Sunday on MSNBC’s “Alex Witt Reports” called the Republican Party “anti-democratic.”
Witt said, “Here is something that investigative reporters have gotten ahold of from The New York Times. They report that in Donald Trump’s final weeks in office, his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, repeatedly pushed the Justice Department to investigate unfounded conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election. This is according to newly-uncovered emails provided to Congress. What new layer does this add to the effort to undermine the election results? How serious is this direct link to the Oval Office and Donald Trump?”
Schiff said, “It’s very serious.

Paul Ryan (I know, sorry for bringing him up) delivered a speech at the Reagan Presidential Library at the end of May in which he sought to reassert himself as a leader of the Republican Party. His shtick was the same spit wash that Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, and George Bush have tried rubbing on the Republican electorate time and again since Biden's official installation. We're better than this reality TV outsider who hijacked the party. Boo to populism; yay to True Conservatism, Inc.! This is serious, people; we're at a 'crossroads' here.

Seventy-eight percent of senior Capitol Hill aides believe Republicans will regain the House in 2022, up 12 percent from April, according to a poll released Monday.
The Punchbowl News poll also included responses by party, which showed 57 percent of Democrat Hill staffers believe Republicans will regain control.
Additionally, 99 percent of the Republicans on the Hill believe their party will regain control of the House, ending House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) short four-year reign of trying to push through her radical, one-sided agenda.

Former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik joined Steve Bannon on Monday morning on The War Room.During their conversation, Kerik said there are over 17,000 “missing” ballots in Fulton County alone. Bernard Kerik: You have a number of investigations in Georgia and one primary in Fulton County, Steve, that I predict that over the next three or four weeks is going to be explosive. And I think it’s basically going to come back and vindicate everything the President and Rudy Giuliani,
