If they can identify his age, they must have been able to ascertain his race. Do we wonder why his race is not mentioned?

As #1 says, the victim's race is given, but not the perp....so safe to assume standard description #1. More racial violence, and NOT from any white folks.

Let me guess much detail that stops short of his race identification so let me help, attacker is African in America that removes more than half of the guessing it's a 'white supremist'.

Yawn. But I am waiting breathlessly for the next PSA featuring millionaire Pacific Islander-American The Rock to lecture me about us whites being mean to Asian Americans.

Another Son of Obama being disrespected by an Asian man standing on the subway platform in space that he might have wanted to stand in. That was disrespecting him so he had no choice but to push him on to the tracks! It is years of oppression that made him do it! Those mean Asian's, always standing in black folks spaces on the subway platform.

How dare they say it was a man. They don't know that. They are jumping to conclusions based upon what THEY think a male looks like. It could be a transie or cross-dresser. Even if they catch the perpetrator, he/she/it will be whatever gender he/she/it decides to be. And that will be the final word. So get used to it.

Gotta hand it to those "White Supremacists." They got the best Diversity program in the country, with all those black yoots doing their dirty work for them. I'm suprised a bunch of woke corporations haven't hired them to do their diversity training programs for them.

How many times are going to have to read these same Headlines! How about more Police presence. How about arresting these Hooded Thugs! Oh Yeah, in New York, the police are defunded and spit at and the Hooded Thugs are out of Jail 30 minutes after they are arrested. Welcome to New York! You couldn't give me a Thousand Dollars to go to NY City!

"The suspect, who fled to the street, is described as a man between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 11, last seen wearing a mask over his face and a black hooded sweater and black pants."
Any hints on what was seen under the mask? Was the man black, white, green, red, yellow, chartreuse, maybe a lavender? No one had any hints at all?

As most perpetrators are black, it is not newsworthy to mention the race unless the perp is not black.

Since if the criminal were anything other than black it would be clearly reported, the assumption is necessary, and necessarily proved out.
So what is the effect of having one minority that is exempt from being identified? Does it not slur every black person? Does "black male" become the default for "criminal"?
That bit of wink-wink patronizing in the stylebook needs to be rethought.

The 21st/Queensbridge subway station serves the largest housing project in New York City. The Post -- which has suddenly become very chaste aboiut stating the race of assailants -- presumably knows its readers understand what the "21st and Queensbrige" stop is. It's a no-go area, our NYC version of a banlieu.

Sure enough, he bLACK. And his actions, the professionals say, must have been spurred by White Supremacism, which causes People of Color to commit crimes far out of proportion to their share of the population.

Well we know what color his pants and shirt were, but no mention of his race,-------which is a giveaway right there.

How come the victims of these obvious hate crimes are being identified by the media by their race, example the victim here as being an Asian man; but the perpetrators are identified just as being a “man” usually wearing a hoodie? But as they say a picture is worth a thousand words!

Police are on the lookout for "a man" with a bLACK hooded sweater and bLACK pants. That should narrow it down a bit. Asians are now a protected minority, so unlike when a WHITE person is attacked, the news includes that information in the headline.
