Biden Administration Suspends Environmental Rules
as Democrats Panic Over Empty Gasoline Stations

The Biden Administration announced on Tuesday that it was temporarily waiving EPA restrictions on the sale of the “winter-time” gasoline formulation in major metropolitan areas of three states, and the District of Columbia, as part of an effort to add to the available inventories that can be used to address the gas shortage. The states are Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Maryland, along with DC. Normally, each April and May, the EPA requires gasoline manufacturers to begin delivering different formulations of gasoline in certain metropolitan areas because the “summertime” formulation produces fewer emissions from automobile engines. When that change happens, refiners and distributors are sometimes left with excess

Texas had billions of dollars in damage to be repaired, people froze to death, and not telling how much environmental damage from having to replace plumbing and property ruined because we weren't "allowed" by Bidet's people to turn up a generating plant to full capacity because to might emit a little more pollution. This administration couldn't care less about the environment. They ONLY care about power that they have a getting more. If Washington D.C. had to do without power for a few days, or weeks, like other places in the country sometimes do, that would be a very good thing.

Gas has gone up $1.00/gallon since January where I live in Mexiforniaco. No slowdown in sight. I just paid $9.00 a pound for bacon. A box of Kellogs corn flakes is right around $4.00/box. Corn tortillas are over $2.00 for a pkg of 30. Fritos Scoops are over $4 a bag. But keep making gas out of corn!

Not sure what legal controlling authority they had to waive these rules, except possibly it's being considered "temporary"? I would suspect the democrat environmentalists are furious at this news too, since they nearly have the country on their knees. Heck, it's almost like another shut-down, right?

FTA: "We are monitoring supply shortages in parts of the Southeast and are evaluating every action the administration can take to mitigate the impact as much as possible...” We get it that democrats and their Deep State EPA are serial hypocrites and polluters of convenience but why are there so many reports of gasoline and diesel shortages in the Southeast, closer to the major refineries along the Tx/La Gulf Coast? There are other pipelines besides Colonial and the truck/tanker distribution network would seem to favor in ever facet of supply chain management, the SE over the NE, unless political forces are compelling the prioritization of the very areas where the majority of insane voters elect democrats who pledge to end the use of fossil fuels entirely, some within ten years. Northbound tankers on I-95 and rail tank cars pose a greater environmental risk to some obscure insect, reptile, or minority community than the pipelines democrats always oppose. Let the anti-fossil fuel psychos get a good taste of the life that they demand for the Normal Americans.

#18.....LOL. "Years before we can get off of fossil fuels".....Hah. You really have been drinking the Kool-Aid, haven't you? Years?....well a hundred or so, at current rates of making "Mr. Fusion" technology become a reality. Trillions spent on fusion research for half a century or more, and not once has power out exceeded power in, even for a millionth of a second. Hard truth. No real alternative fuels exist for aircraft other than petroleum products. You can manufacture alcohols at great expense, and they technically can work but the energy density is half of jet fuel, cost is far higher, and they dramatically decrease the range/payload balance. Sailing ships can work, but are really slow and just stupid. We did that, and learned better ways. Autos with electric power can work, clearly, but are extremely expensive and have short range. Batteries have a large environmental cost, relatively short service life. Until Mr. Fusion (as seen in Back to the Future, Part II) is cheaply available, fossil fuels will be what is used for most transportation. The folks saying otherwise can only get their way under the iron boot of totalitarian rule, never in a free economy.

More scientists are calling for a deeper investigation into the origin of the coronavirus as key questions about where the pathogen came from remain unanswered. In a letter published Thursday in the academic journal Science, an international group of 18 prominent biologists, immunologists and others called for a new and truly independent investigation of all possible origins of the virus, including the theory that a laboratory accident released the coronavirus in Wuhan, China. WASHINGTON — In a move to send the country back toward pre-pandemic life, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday eased indoor mask-wearing guidance for fully vaccinated people, allowing them to safely stop wearing masks inside in most places. The new guidance still calls for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters but will help clear the way for reopening workplaces, schools, and other venues — even removing the need for masks or social distancing for those who are fully vaccinated.

Alcohol to go is now law in Texas after Gov. Greg Abbott on Wednesday signed a bill to permanently allow Texans to include alcohol in take-out orders from restaurants, achieving a shared goal of Abbott and restaurateurs. House Bill 1024 allows beer, wine and mixed drinks to be included in pickup and delivery food orders, securing a revenue stream made available to restaurants during the pandemic when their dining areas were forced to close. Because the measure was approved by more than two-thirds of the House and Senate, it went into effect as soon as Abbott signed it.
