During a February attempted robbery, a man got a quick lesson as to why you never rob a gun store or gun range. On Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021, 27-year-old Marvin Payton Jr. decided it was going to be a good idea to attempt to rob The Range 702, a Las Vegas area gun range. Payton triggered a call to police after he entered the range and attempted to take someone else’s gun from their gun bag. Payton was forced from the store; however, he began brandishing a screwdriver in a threatening manner. Upon the arrival of police, Payton engaged in a physical altercation with police, stabbing female officer Misael Parra.

If the officer to the left of the criminal was a woman, she was slow getting to the point of subduing him.

This is exactly why BLM and Antifa (domestic terrorist groups) do not take their antics into flyover country. People out here have no sense of humor when it comes to being threatened by lunatics.

I often have spent an hour or two at our local gun store/range checking out the new guns, and visiting with friends. In a few instances sketchy looking folks have entered and started wandering aimlessly around, and telling clerks "just looking" when offered assistance. On a couple of occasions, I have stepped back to a position off to the side in case this was going to turn violent, to be in a good position to help. Don't rob a place with a lot of armed citizens around. Not going to work out. And yes, another Std Description #1.

One maskless photo at an off-campus party has cost three students at UMass Amherst their entire spring semester. The three female freshmen were attending an off-campus party when they snapped the maskless photo, which was posted on Instagram. It's not clear when the party took place, though one student has a clover on her shirt and many students are wearing green, suggesting it could date back to St. Patrick's Day. A party known as the 'Blarney Blowout' is typically thrown at the school during March. The three students have since been suspended from UMass Amherst, which may only be the beginning of their disciplinary problems at school.

A man videotaped and taunted a young pregnant woman who wasn’t wearing a mask in a grocery store and put the video online, which has amassed more than 400,000 views as of Friday. “Right there, right there, no mask,” the man said, zooming over to the pregnant woman as she checks out with her groceries. The woman calmly waves, only irritating the already emotional man. “You’re on candid camera. Here we go. I want you to know that your insensitivity is ridiculous,” he scolded her. He then equated her massless face with the deaths of his grandparents.

Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Wednesday informed unemployed Floridians during a Wednesday press conference that May will be the last month they can collect unemployment benefits without proving they are looking for work. DeSantis, who had lifted the state’s policy requiring such proof because of the pandemic, said that reopened Florida now offers ample opportunity for employment, and capable residents need to get off the government dole, according to CBS Miami. “Normally when you’re getting unemployment, the whole idea is that it’s temporary, and you need to be looking for work to be able to get off unemployment,” DeSantis said. “It was a disaster, so we suspended those job search requirements.

Democratic Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser on Wednesday defended her recent decision to ban dancing and standing at weddings in the District of Columbia and suggested District residents should instead be glad they can even host a wedding. Asked during a CNN interview what good a wedding is without dancing, Bowser chuckled and replied, “Well, I think there’s a lot of good to a wedding, like people starting off their lives together and doing it in a safe way, and not doing it in a way that puts themselves or their guests in danger.”

When President DeSantis is sworn in at 12:00 pm on January 20, 2025, he should give a short speech and by 12:10 be firing people. Lots of people. Okay, it might not be the current Florida governor – we do know it’s not going to be Gov. Nikki! Haley (R – Establishment) or Kristi! Noem (R-NCAA) – but whoever beats Kamala Harris like a drum needs to come into the Oval Office ready to clear-cut the bureaucracy. Just level it. Every keen observer understands that Donald Trump’s first and foremost failure as president was personnel. He did not get it right until the end, and then it was far too late.

ABC-7 News in Washington reports the Biden administration has found yet another use for the COVID pandemic. In South Dakota, Biden’s unity-branded administration is using the pandemic to cancel 4th of July fireworks at Mt. Rushmore. The fact that the pandemic was worse last year, Mt. Rushmore fireworks went forward, and there wasn’t a single case of COVID linked to that event is immaterial. In the nation’s constitutional capital, which Biden wants to turn into its own state on a par with Texas despite the fact it has fewer people than Austin, Biden’s woke Pentagon has denied AMVETS a parking permit for their Memorial Day ride through the city

Rep. Liz Cheney recently survived a vote on removing her from leadership in the House Republican caucus. She thanked her colleagues by promptly going out and contradicting House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy publicly and making the Sunday show rounds to obsess over Donald Trump and January 6th. It was one giant middle finger to those who stood beside her, hoping she would now focus on helping the Republican party instead of fighting pointless, long past battles. Because of that, the heat is back on, and fresh talk of kicking her to the curb has started up again. This time, though, the names being mentioned actually matter,

Genetically modified mosquitoes have been released for the first time in the United States as part of an experiment to combat insect-borne diseases such as Dengue fever, yellow fever, and the Zika virus. UK-based biotechnology firm Oxitec, which is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, said it released the mosquitoes in six locations in Monroe County’s Florida Keys: two on Cudjoe Key, one on Ramrod Key, and three on Vaca Key. It’s part of an effort to help tackle a disease-transmitting invasive mosquito population—the Aedes aegypti mosquito species—that’s responsible for “virtually all mosquito-borne diseases transmitted to humans,” according to the company.
