Greenbelt, Md.—A D.C. pastor used loans meant for COVID pandemic relief to buy a Tesla and a property in Baltimore, according to U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland. Rudolph Brooks Jr., of Cheltenham, Maryland, known as the pastor at Kingdom Tabernacle of Restoration Ministries, faces a federal charge for wire fraud. Federal authorities have also seized $2.2 million from his various bank accounts, along with a 2018 Tesla Model 3.(Snip) According to an affidavit, Brooks didn't use the money he obtained for those things; rather, he used the "fraudulently obtained" $1.5 million to pay for various things "including credit card bills,

Comments:

USA is broke to the point where the national debt cannot possibly be repaid. We charge forward with a galaxy of handout programs where rampant fraud is impossible to detect because there are so many recipients. And when the blind pig happens to discover fraud, it costs another fortune to prosecute. We're being hanged with the rope we made, just as they promised.

Hasbro said Tuesday it would raise prices of toys and games to counter higher raw material costs as the company sees surging demand for its Nerf blasters and board games from families spending more time at home. Shares of the Monopoly maker, which late on Monday announced the sale of Entertainment One Music to Blackstone Group for $385 million, rose 1 percent in midday trading. The toymaker, like most US manufacturers, has had to contend with rising resin, packaging and metal prices, as well as soaring transportation costs due to high demand and supply disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.(Snip) “Freight and input cost
