The Chinese military’s nuclear capabilities are increasing rapidly and, for the first time, might be primed for use, the U.S. military officer in charge of America’s nuclear arsenal warned Tuesday as he urged Congress to upgrade America’s aging nuclear infrastructure.
In an effort to describe how quickly the Chinese nuclear program is advancing, Adm. Charles Richard, the commander of U.S. Strategic Command, told the Senate Armed Services Committee that he had just ordered all briefs on Beijing’s nuclear weapons contain no intelligence information vetted more than one month earlier “because it's probably out of date” that quickly.
Richard testified Tuesday that China is capable of accurately deploying nuclear weapons

China has placed some of their nuclear forces on 'Launch on Warning' status. It's been 30 years since STRATCOM's bombers have been on 24-hour alert status yet here we are planning a return to that full alert posture in Joe's America.

Anyone think that Biden and the democrats care? Hahaha!!! All they care about is packing the population with Mexicans and packing the Supreme Court while China packs nuclear weaponry. America is going to suffer global systemic superiority Justice.

Goodie, goodie, more money for the Military-industrial complex. Liz Cheney and Adam Kitziger and Cindy McCain will be happy. Russia is one of the few Christian Countries wee are left with.

Sorry Admiral. We'll get around to updating the nuclear triad as soon as you increase the number of blacks and women with launch authority. for our nuclear forces.

I do know warhead maintenance has suffered for years under administrations of the left. Congress punts on the issue repeatedly. Don’t pillory the man who brings it up by telling the truth.

Good idea, Admiral, keep Congress busy so they don't have the time to do so much stupid stuff. Make sure that the nuclear war that Biden triggers will effectively destroy the world. The upside is that we don't have to worry about the piddly effects of climate change in the 10,000 degree heat of nuclear fusion.

Sure, whatever. Money has no value. Let's go to the moon, too, while we're at it. See all that blown on stimulus, Afghan it and Iraq? There's your new Triad, Admiral.

Our primary ICBM is the Minuteman III, which entered service in 1970. The warhead designs were updated in the late 1970s, and there have been some electronics upgrades over the years, but they are still over 50 years old. And when we used to have thousands, we are down to 400 total.
We designed and built a mobile replacement, far more modern, called the Peacekeeper, which Congress refused to fund beyond a pitiful, nearly useless 50 missiles. And then, we engaged in nuclear reduction talks with the Soviets, and we destroyed them ALL, and huge numbers of our other ICBMs, and significant numbers of our sub launched Poseidon missiles, and most of our nuclear bombers have been permanently rendered unable to carry nuclear bombs, or just destroyed. How many know that the B-1s were modified so that they physically cannot carry a nuclear bomb? A relatively few ancient B-52s can carry 40 year old nuclear air launched cruise missiles, but no longer any nuclear bombs. The B-2 can carry nuclear bombs, but there are only, IIRC, 21 of them, and 60+ total nuclear bombers and fighters of all types.
And Congress won't fund any replacements as these weapons systems age out and steadily become less and less capable, and fewer and fewer in numbers. How many are aware that we have something like 1,800 total deployed nuclear weapons left? The exact numbers aren't clear, but that is what is widely reported on the internet.
Congress is steadily disarming us while the ChiComs and Russians do a steady buildup.

Only a pompous A would order an analyst to prepare their opinions and analysis according to his opinion. Why don't the pomposity just write the analysis himself?
