Disney Adds New Core Value: Wokeism

Original Article

Poor Walt. This man has probably turned over in his grave 100 times by now with all the antics of Disney. On Tuesday, April 13, Disney Chairman Josh D’Amaro posted a blog on the Disney Parks website titled “A Place Where Everyone is Welcome,” because apparently they weren't very welcoming before, despite having Gay Days for 30 years. Right off the bat, you should have got the hint to grab a barf bucket for the spiel about "taking action to create meaningful change." The announcement included a video and narrative to explain the new addition to the longstanding tradition of The Four Keys: Inclusion.

'Inclusion' apparently means tats and hair styles. Basically it's the now ubiquitous styling of your average bar back or TV celebrity chef.

I'm guessing that "everyone" does not include normal white male Christians. Since in woke-ville, normal white male Christians are the cause of all evil in the world today!!! Just call it a hunch...

I was very disappointed in those Disney tween shows that were on when my kids were teens. The overriding theme was that the path to popularity was dating outside your race.

When you charge $13 for a corn dog you are severely limiting your potential guests. Ever hear of pricing yourself out of the market? (And no, I have never eaten a corn dog).

When I was a kid in the early '70s, we went to Disneyland, even though my father wasn't big on amusement parks per se.We also watched The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights and went to the occasional odd Disney movie. I guarantee if my parents were raising children these days, we wouldn't be doing any of those things. And it wouldn't just be because of the $13 corndogs.

There is something strange about the behavior of Biden and the Democrats that can be best explained by a combination of Progressive mania and panic that their power might well slip away from them unless they lock it down by changing the rules in their favor and whipping up paranoia within key minority groups who are showing signs of slipping away. Hence the relentless charges of racism. Some items: “Democrats Are Anxious About 2022 — and 2024,” Thomas Edsall wrote in the New York Times last month: In the wake of the 2020 election, Democratic strategists are worried — very worried — about the future of the Hispanic vote. Ron DeSantis continues to trigger the libs, and it’s not just because he’s really good at owning them. They can’t stand the fact that he beat one of their supposed future stars in Andrew Gillum, and they hate him even more for defying their COVID hysteria and producing results that bested all the comparatively populated blue states. In fact, Florida sits at 28th in the country in COVID deaths per one million, a mark that is simply amazing when you consider the state has the second-largest vulnerable, elderly population in the country. Today, DeSantis continued his crusade against the hysterical among us, delivering a message to vaccinated Americans

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said that fully vaccinated people can go to indoor restaurants, but “it’s a relative risk. When you have a lot of infection in the community, then you want to be careful. That’s why we say, wear a mask.” Host Joy Reid asked if fully vaccinated people can eat in indoor restaurants, fly, or hug their older relatives. Fauci said, “You know, it depends on the level of infection in your community. It doesn’t matter what the level of infection is, if you are vaccinated and you want to have something in the home, you, your family

Stay away from New York City, men in suits and “plutocrats of Park Avenue!” The New York Times doesn’t want you back in town. That was the message on the front of the Thursday Styles section in “Hisses for the Rich Who Fled – As the pandemic eases and wealthy New Yorkers return, they may face resentment.” The 2,000-word rant was penned by Jacob Bernstein, son of Washington Post journalist Carl Bernstein and his second wife, journalist and screenwriter, Nora Ephron. In other works, the culturally plugged-in Bernstein found an impressive bunch of likeminded individuals to trash their fellow elitists. While Luke Winkie’s mean-spirited

Georgians adopted voter-integrity measures supported by a large majority of Americans, that are in the mainstream of state regulation and in fact are less stringent than the rules in Delaware, President Joe Biden’s home state, and New York. By more than a 2-1 margin, Americans think such rules are not unfair or discriminatory. Nonetheless, these measures have produced an unprecedented effort by large corporations to interfere in the workings of a democratic government. Major League Baseball moved its All-Star Game out of (majority-black) Atlanta to (majority-white) Denver in protest. Coca-Cola’s president weighed in against the changes. With all this push for Hollywood “diversity” one often wonders if Hollywood has a vendetta against traditional standards of movie making. According to one insider, that’s exactly the case for at least one major studio. Sci-fi author Nick Cole, co-author of the Galaxy’s Edge series, claimed that during a pitch meeting, a major Hollywood studio passed on a recent project he had been working on, citing the fact that they’re done producing content for “White, Christian, Trash.” Oh wow, that’s a hell of a way to say it. Perhaps this is the sentiment underlying Hollywood’s spate of inclusivity-over-everything pledges they’ve made in the past few years.

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) said Thursday he will not renew the state's mask mandate, and will let it expire on Friday. "We'll continue to work with public health to encourage social distancing and wearing of masks when appropriate. That will not change whatsoever. What does change is the government's imposed requirement to do so," Sununu said during a press conference. New Hampshire is the first state in New England to lift its mask mandate, which has been in place since November. Sununu said that private businesses, cities, towns, and organizations may continue to keep mask mandates in place.

The poll asked registered voters if they support or oppose American companies using their public role, position, or events to influence political, cultural, or social change. The findings show that over half (58 percent) oppose any type of corporation using its power to influence any type of political, cultural, or social change across the country. They also show that 35 percent did support the efforts by woke corporations, while seven percent were unsure how to answer. Major League Baseball has suffered a massive loss in popularity among Republicans due to its intervention on the side of Democrats in the political dispute over Georgia’s voting law. According to a poll by Morning Consult, MLB’s net favorability rating (the difference between the percentage of those who view the sport positively and those who view it negatively) among Republicans has dropped from 47 points to 12 points in the past month. Until commissioner Rob Manfred moved the all-star game, MLB was the big-time sports league viewed most favorably by Republicans. Now, it is viewed less favorably than the NFL and the NHL.

The Texas Senate approved a controversial transgender sports bill Thursday that would force young athletes in Texas to compete in sports only that align with their sex as designated on their original birth certificate rather than their gender identity. The 18-12 vote comes after a marathon hearing on March 26 that featured emotional testimony on the bill that foes decry as discriminatory and anti-LGBTQ. Supporters argue that allowing transgender women to compete on a women’s team puts others in physical danger, while opponents consider it a non-issue, insisting that legislation is unnecessary and unfairly targets transgender youth. The bill is one of several in the Texas Legislature that bill opponents call anti-transgender.

President Joe Biden’s half-open, half-closed border is creating chaos south of the border and is pulverizing his support among Latino and independents likely voters north of the border. Biden’s policies have gotten him 64 percent disapproval among independents, and 55 percent disapproval among Latinos, according to a Quinnipiac poll of 1,237 adults, conducted April 8-12. Just 22 percent of swing-voting independents and 27 percent of Latinos support Biden’s policy to extricate hundreds of thousands of migrants from their countries into a Hunger Games-style obstacle course, so they can be used in the U.S. economy. GOP voters strongly oppose these policies, so the Quinnipiac numbers translate into a national disapproval rate of 55 percent

How did this happen? How did the nation go in an instant from disbelieving every utterance of Donald Trump to robotically repeating — and acting on — every claim that falls out of Joe Biden’s mouth, no matter how disconnected from the truth? The most glaring example involves Biden’s fact-challenged tirade against Georgia’s new voting law. At his first and only press conference, Biden declared the state’s efforts to protect against voter fraud were worse than Jim Crow, “un-American,” “sick,” and “despicable.” (This was the same press conference where moments later Biden bragged about how much time he’s spent with China’s genocidal communist dictator before calling him “a smart, smart guy.”)

She said the shooting was unnecessary after Chicago cops released bodycam footage showing the boy had a gun and dropped it just before the officer opened fire.

Anybody who’s taking Dr. Anthony Fauci seriously probably needs to stop doing so. He endlessly moves the goalposts to maintain his unlimited power over the American people, something Democrats support. That’s why, on Thursday, during House testimony, Rep. Maxine Watters (who is a low-rent harridan) tried to shut down Rep. Jim Jordan’s efforts to get Fauci to say when enough Americans will be vaccinated so that COVID restrictions can end. The past year has shown that Fauci either has no idea what he’s talking about or is trying to advance an agenda that invariably has to do with maintaining the 2020 status quo of lockdowns, isolation, and masks.
