Justin Rose fights back from a wretched

If it’s true what they say that the Masters doesn’t really begin until the back nine on Sunday, then Justin Rose must seriously fancy his chances of finally slipping on a green jacket. For the second day running he came good on the most exciting nine holes in the game to retain the lead heading into the weekend of the 85th edition.Rose followed up his marvellous opening 65 with a gutsy 72 for a seven under par total. He needed just 63 shots to play the back nine over the first two days, a vivid contrast to the 74 blows over the outward nine.

Poster 1, the PGA Tour has caved. The wokeness started with previous PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem, who was a democrat activist before he was appointed commissioner. Finchem routed a big donation to the Clinton Foundation with proceeds from the tournament formerly known as the Bob Hope Desert Classic. And recently, the tour has pledged a big payoff to woke causes. In a point of the confusion, the PGA of America is separate and distinct from the PGA Tour. The PGA of America is also “enlightened.” Early this year, they pulled a Trump course as the site of the 2022 PGA Championship. Although The Masters is considered a PGA Tour event, the tournament is conducted by the Augusta National Golf Club. Thus, the Masters retains independence, and did not give in to pressure to make a pronouncement regarding the Georgia election law. No one tells the Augusta National Golf Club what to do.

I am in especially good spirits this weekend, given the fact that Surly Sergio Garcia and sissy boy Rory McIlroy both missed the cut yesterday! I haven't been this happy since Greg Norman blew the lead at the U.S. Open, letting Jack Nicklaus win. Now if the Master's would ban foreign players, life would be perfect for me. (I know - that's not rational, but as the one handed butcher played by Nicholas Cage said in Moonstruck, "I ain't no friggin' philosopher!")

It was only a matter of time before the left-wing cancel mob came for Gran Torino, Clint Eastwood’s 2008 movie about a bigoted retired autoworker and his Asian Hmong neighbors. The racial epithets spewed by protagonist Walt Kowalski are so prolific that it’s hard to imagine the movie being released under today’s ultra-woke Hollywood standards.Anyone who’s seen Gran Torino and has half a brain will easily grasp that the movie is the opposite of racist. After Walt catches Thao, the Hmong teenager next door, trying to steal his cherished 1972 Gran Torino, he puts the boy to work fixing houses around the neighborhood

Archaeologists have discovered a 3,000-year-old “lost golden city” in Egypt — the “largest” ever found there and the most important find since the tomb of Tutankhamun. The city, called “The Rise of Aten” was unearthed by a team of archeologists led by Zahi Hawass under the sand on the western bank of Luxor, about 300 miles south of Cairo. The archaeologists first excavated the site in September 2020 in an attempt to search for King Tut’s mortuary temple. They soon uncovered their stunning find — well-kept mud bricks formations that turned out to be a large city dating to the golden age of pharaohs 3,000 years ago.
