To his legion of obsessed enemies, it is a fortunate thing that Donald Trump owns his own Elba, otherwise known as Mar-A-Lago. Not quite an island, but a place where America’s Bonaparte can be safely exiled, secluded, and sealed-off from the general populace. Carefully watched and heavily guarded, they imagine he too is approaching madness; angrily stalking the grounds, bitterly rehashing his humiliating defeat. (snip) The bedsheets are tied snugly together and on Sunday, February 28, Trump will dodge the searchlights and descend the compound wall. Loyalists are waiting outside to whisk him to Orlando, where he’ll address the annual CPAC Conference.

If the legitimate President stands up there and just says, make America great again, he will be better than any politician that has come down the pike in decades. He gave voice to our concerns and the values we hold dear. He showed us how it can be done when you are focused on doing the best job you can and doing it for the right reasons. He showed us how easy it was to install policies that actually improved the lives of all Americans. He showed us how we can put America first and still be engaged with other foreign countries with no animosity. He also encourage countries to put their people and interests first. He showed our enemies that we will not be intimidated by them and that we will stand for our principles and values unapologetically. He proved the value of a secured border. He also proved that we need not engage in war in order to have peace. He proved that when it comes to the Middle East that we could try something different and actually accomplish good things.
President Trump stands head and shoulders above his detractors. He did what he said he would do despite the vicious and unprecedented attacks by the left. He would not bow to their bullying and defiantly gave as good as he got. It’s no wonder why they hate him. He proved them all wrong. He exposed their corruption and lawlessness and he shames their cowardice in failing to champion this country and its founding principles. He opened the eyes of so many Americans to the desire of the democrats to submit to the globalist anti-American agenda that has been on the march for decades. He encouraged us to never believe their lies and excuses again.
Whatever he says on Sunday we know will come from a place of love of country and respect for its citizens. He outshines by a mile the weak and passive Republican political class, but clearly understands the American people. He gets it. We know he gets it for the right reasons and we are not ever going to abandon him. I predict his speech will give hope to every American who desires peace and prosperity and will bring nothing but rage from those who are invested in the decline of this great nation.
Go get ‘em, President Trump. Do your best to defend freedom from an administration that has stolen what they could not win and clearly intend to destroy what they did not build. Give us a real State of the Union speech. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Talk about being damned by the damnest of very faint praise, with the smallest of “p’s”. This authors cynicism has oceanic depths. I don’t like people like that. They stand for nothing and find no delight or comfort in anything. Tiresome. Find a different line of work, your articles have no saving grace.

Zuckerbrod forgot the s/off at the end of the article. Too bad because some people might think he's serious and take AT to task for printing such nonsense.

I am so tired of pundits worrying about Trump’s temperament. He is what he is. When attacked he fights back. I like that. I’m tired of Republicans turning the other cheek trying to be polite and well-mannered. Where did that get us? Absolutely nowhere. We are in an existential fight for the freedom of our country. The sooner talking heads and Tge punditry class realize that, the better.

The metaphor of Trump in exile is apt. He was deposed. He was sent to Florida to "retire". His army defeated and defiant.
It is clear that FPDT understands the terms of his exile. If he seeks to return, using this appearance as a springboard, he will will up to his hair-do in charges, investigations, criminal complaints and whatever else the UNIPARTY can toss at him. They will bury him in litigation. They will demand every business record they can conjure...and the courts will side with them in the cause of justice. Don't believe for a minute that his immediate family won't get the same treatment, and the Trump Organization...
FPDT is trapped politically. He can rail against Mitch, for example, but who endorsed Mitch for re-election? It certainly calls into question his judgement. Same goes for Mitt...PDT-endorsed. Susan Collins...Trump endorsed. Etc. It's HIS GOP in Congress.
Rail against the Federal courts? Who nominated three "originalist" justices, 54 appellate judges and 170 other "conservative" judges to the Federal bench? "Real Republicans" were cheering...
Napoleon came from Elbe, collected his old soldiers, and headed north to re-establish his imperial majesty. He got as far as Waterloo, where the Four Power coalition, which branded him a criminal, ended his campaign. Within weeks Napoleon was gone, and this time off to a more desolate exile.
Mitch has made very clear that the GOPe will not save FPDT from peril. He is now politically and otherwise on his own. If he renounces the party, he loses what actual clout he has. If he embraces the GOP, the "patriots" will likely desert with his "selling out."
Let's see where this goes.

Trump is NOT Napoleon on Elba.
He is MacArthur promising to return & he will.

I agree with #1 that it would be ideal to hear from statesman Trump. The reflexive hatred toward anyone who loves Trump's policy actions but isn't enamored of his social media wars is not doing Trump any great service. Politicians - and yes, from the time he walked down those stairs, he became a politician, not a typical swamp rat politician but a politician none-the-less - aren't ever above the criticism of Americans, well placed or unfounded. Criticism, fair or unfair, comes with the territory of putting yourself forth to be the single representative of American and over 330 million Americans.
If Trump is ever going to get elected to another term as president, he's going to have to overcome a lot, from outright cheating to a rabidly partisan leftist media, the likes of which this country has never seen and it has seen a lot. I that regard, I believe he is capable of pulling in 90,000,000 votes because his policies are good for America and Americans. I think the author would like to see Trump return to the office that he believes, as do many sane, normal Americans, the election of 2020 was taken by illegal means. During Trump's term in office the author likely saw Trump getting embroiled in mud fight type squabbles, which some folks characterized as 'fighting back' but others didn't find as endearing. Donald Trump is at his best when he is leading, not following the latest insulting tweet, newspaper article, or insulting comment from a communist-loving deep stater, which is synonymous with average democrat in 2021. What I took from the article is that Trump is poised to make a dramatically huge comeback politically, pulling in more support than he did in 2016 but it is not a sure thing. If he positions himself as the forward looking voice of American conservatism, then he'll pull in those 90,000,000 votes to make him fraud-proof. I'd like to see that because I'd like to go from being a two-time Trump voter to being more active in supporting his campaign. I may not be alone in this and I'm well aware that I'm going a bit against the grain on this site but I'm neither a site pest nor a troll.
