House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Liz Cheney, the third-ranking House GOP member, had an uncomfortable exchange with reporters Wednesday over whether former President Trump should speak at CPAC as planned this weekend."Yes, he should," McCarthy said in a brief response after being asked by a reporter.Cheney, however, had a different answer when asked the same question."That’s up to CPAC," she began, before elaborating. "I’ve been clear about my views of President Trump and the extent to which, following Jan. 6., I don't believe that he should be playing a role in the future of the party or the country."

they let her use too many words in her answer!! it was a one word answer, as Mad Max would say to anyone she disliked, which seemingly was everybody, who was testifying at a hearing where she was on the panel, or whatever you call that gaggle of idiots who sit on congressional hearings panels. too bad these clowns make extra money for being on a congressional committee and ever more money for a certain committee. they sure as hell know how to strip money from the taxpayer.

They don't want any normal, un-brainwashed Americans to play a role in the future of the country. They plan to make us all serfs, while they rule over us.

#1, my understanding she is going to be primaried.
Kevin McCarthy owns this one. He made a decision to have a secret vote that decided if she should be removed from her position. The cowards (including McCarthy) voted to keep her in her leadership position. If this vote was not secret, she would have been gone.

Don’t much care what McCarthy has to say. (Proud he could formulate a thought. Is it me, or is he not very bright?)
Lizzie — I really REALLY don’t care what she has to say. Why we have to wait for another election, why Wyoming won’t recall her, is another question.

McCarthy is to blame for Cheney's continued prominence. He is supposed to be the republican leader in Congress. He should have publicly turned to that obese, spoiled, Deep State sow Cheney and told her to shut up and leave and then removed her from every single committee she is on in the House. True leaders do not tolerate traitors in their party. Remember McCarthy served under that other traitor Ryan for years and he is deeply corrupted himself.
Write your Senators and representatives and hold their feet to the fire of patriotism. Instill fear in them that they will be primaried if they do not represent us and defend our constitution every single day. Any GOP politician who compromises in any way with the communist death democrats must be called to account and removed.
A clear message that the republican party is reforming itself would be by expelling Cheney from the republican party and relegating her to the back bench in the house until she is removed by the voters of Wyoming in 2022.
Time to get hard core with all these republican Rhinos and traitors.

Anyone with any leadership skills knows you do not reward bad behavior. McCarthy failed to control her. She is but one person, Kevin, but she is turning people against the party. It is your responsibility as a leader to lead. The vote should have been public and she should be relegated to a windowless small office in the basement. Why is party loyalty of no concern in the Republican Party? McCarthy has failed in his job as leader. Put someone in that position who knows how to lead.

McCarthy allowed Cheney to continue as # 3 leader...blame McCarthy he's veryyyyyy weak & untrustworthy ..Cheney is hopeless. McCarthy allowed a so called secret vote...what a mess. Put Jordan in as leader. Who elected Cheney to speak for the party?????

This will cut to the chase-- the RINOs want to keep power, and the Conservative BASE is tired of being lied to by our own people.
Much of the leadership is NOT conservative. The people will decide and are choosing not to be RINO'd

I agree McCarthy is the person who is responsible for Cheney's ability to call the shots. He is the one who needs to be replaced. He thinks he's going to be the next Speaker of the House, but I don't think he deserves it. I think Jim Jordan should replace McCarthy. HE is Trustworthy. He can be counted on at all times. McCarthy speaks with Forked Tongue! He is like Lindsey Graham, puts his finger in the air to see where it is most favorable to HIS Career before making a decision. As far as Cheney is concerned. McCarthy didn't need to have a secret meeting, HE is the one who should have made the decision to strip her of her Leadership. A REAL Leader would have handled that. He needs to take a page from Pelosi's Book of how to handle a Rogue Member!

A strong GOP challenger is needed to primary Liz Cheney because if she survives a crowded primary, or is defeated by a clown, the democrats are in position to capture this seat. Liz Cheney has transformed a safe GOP seat to a tossup.

My question is this, how is it that the GOP is run by McCarthy and Mitch? Does this mean the majority of Republicans in the House and Senate are flaming Moderates or even RINO's? We only talk about 7 or 8 of them being RINO's so how the heck do Mitch and McCarthy get the top spots? Folks, the Republican Party is not a Conservative Party. As Moderates and RINO's, they will vote with the Left more often than with the Right. It is time to stop expecting the GOP to be Conservative. Concentrate on individuals and not some elitist frat Party. The GOP is not your friend, unless, of course, you are a Moderate or RINO. Have a blessed day.

If the Republican "leadership" continues on its present "go along with the Dems" course, the Republican base will sit back and let them go down in flames in 2022. I don't see much hope anyway as the Dems are remaking the country with alarming speed and the GOPe is either conspiring with them or deluding themselves that it isn't happening.

The GOP and their many RINO members have one concern now, how to keep their party together and continue sending the old worn-out message of "reaching across the aisle" to the sleazy democrats. In reality the party is falling apart, the horse has left the barn, gone out the gate and is eating grass over in the next county. The republican party is dead, Donald Trump still holds more power and influence than any of them and nobody will admit that forcing him out was the biggest mistake of their political lives.

Cheney has a real problem with President Trump... it's almost outright hatred...she's a DC girl... born and raised... so she's the establishment to the core...she cannot dictate to WE the people to desert OUR President Trump...he represents US... all 75,000 million of US...and if her attempts to tarnish President Trump's fabulous four years... it won't work... or... has she made a deal with nervous nancy to split the Republican Party so nervous nancy can be speaker emeritus????

The sound and tone of her voice made me want to throw something at the screen. She does not represent the Republican party or the people of Wyoming and will be primaried. She's an old swamp creature that hasn't evolved past her father's war days in the White House. It's obvious she has big defense contractor donations in her hip pocket.
McCarthy committed a mortal sin keeping her in her position and should not be considered to become Speaker.

They are both right about Trump speaking at that conference. As Trump should be invited as he will always be “45”, because the way some establishment Republicans are acting, Trump may be the last Republican President for a very long time, and it is up to the conference organizers as to who they invite to speak. But McCarthy and Cheney are not right with their extraneous BS remarks. It has already been announced that Cheney, a big time supporter of globalism and cheap foreign labor, will be challenged in the 2022 Wyoming Republican primary election, if she runs for re-election.

I think McCarthy thought her ill behavior was cute. Ending with, "And on that note" was telling. He needs to get her in line; it's not acceptable that he expresses support for PDT, and she "balances" with her disgusting nonsupport. She hates US, and it's demonstrated in her hatred of the President--the real one, not the senile old fool poseur.

When is the reality of Tin Lizzie's situation at home going to sink into that vacant space between her ears? She is in the dumpster regarding her reelection poll numbers, and I happen to know that plans are being made to primary her.
I have talked to several people in WY, and they are thoroughly disgusted with her and want her gone. Her name isn't going to protect her cushy seat, and she has inspired several people who have never gotten into political campaigning before to come out and work against her. Unless Mini Mitch interferes in her state, she could very easily be toast next year.

#22 - You finally hit on it...Yes, the majority of Republicans in the House and Senate are flaming UNIPARTY "Moderates", and the conservative rank-and-file are the RINOs from their point of view. Conservatives have been buying myths for years, from "read my lips" to the post-election "insurrection" nonsense pushed by Mitch. They have been brainwashed by "Reagan's rule" banning criticism of Republicans, and by the modified Buckley rule to vote for "the 'rightwardmost' electable candidate." They refuse to see that the fix is in, the national interest secondary to special interests and profiteering.
The UNIPARTY knows suckers when it sees them, and they are in huge numbers on both sides.
