The late Rush Limbaugh, a legendary conservative radio host who pioneered a format that’s become a staple in conservatism, was more than just the voice of American conservatism — he was also a “gentle giant” with a heart of gold. His critics in the Democrat Party and the Democrat-aligned media would disagree, of course, but they never knew actually knew the man. They only knew the “evil” caricature of him that they’d invented in their creative minds. Those who actually knew Limbaugh, on the other hand, have had nothing but positive stories to share about how he’d treated them and others.Take country music singer-songwriter John Rich:

Good piece about the man. His generous and kind persona was a sharp contrast to the venal nastiness of the liberal/left.

Very touched by this article, Rush was truly a generous and kind man. He did not publicize his acts of great generosity like so many. It pains me to see the ugly comments from the left. My husband and I were talking about how cool it would be if Clint Eastwood directed a movie about the TRUE life story of Rush Hudson Limbaugh. Not sure how Clint is doing these days, but it he would be the guy to tell the story straight, it would be a gift to America. Love the picture of the day! Reagan passed the torch to Rush, now he is passing it to us. Tears.

What is clear is that the democrats cannot claim to have men and women of this caliber in their ranks. I am not surprised by Rush’s generosity. I would expect it from him. The left is all show. They will outwardly display their acts of benevolence in order to garner praise. It takes a man or woman of character who will not seek the praise of men for the good works they do. God bless each and everyone of you who do acts of kindness whether they be large or small without expecting anything in return. That is true charity.

Not long ago, on a day when Rush was not on the show, Bo Snerdly played an audio montage of all of the fund raising and donations to charities that Rush had been part of or sponsored over the years. I wish that someone would play it again. The amounts raised were staggering. The Marine Corps Scholarship fund and the Leukemia Foundation were two that he did on the air every year, but there were so many others. Remember when that idiot Tom Daschle wrote him a nasty letter and he auctioned it off on EBay for over a million dollars, then matched the amount from his own pocket and gave it all to charity? And then there were all of the charity gold tournaments, among many other events. I would love to see the list and the total amount. Who on the left could ever come close?

Everyone who was a long time listener already knew all of this.
I have been a dittohead for many years and never thought of Rush as "rough". He simply told the truth, all of the time - and followed that truth where ever it lead. He had an extraordinary talent for correctly analyzing that truth. He made "the complex understandable".He knew he could be bold with the truth because if you always use the truth, you never have to apologize or retract. Leftist failure is always exposed by the simple truth, and Rush worked tirelessly to find it. There are no negatives for Rush other than human faults that he had to overcome. He was a true statesman, and anyone who tries to dilute his excellence is doing his legacy a disservice. It is my opinion that his death was premature because after recent event in which democrats clearly stole the presidential election and republicans did nothing, he felt he had failed his lifelong quest to educate Americans about the evils of liberalism. You didn't fail Rush. 75 million of us will carry your desire to "never quit until everyone agrees with you".

Thank you. I who listened to him whenever I could knew all this but most who heard everything they "knew" about Rush that learned it second hand have no idea who Rush really was--and never will because they like all liberals have preconceived ideas that can not be altered.

When Rush received a call from a child telling how much he or she appreciated the books he wrote about the beginning of our country, you could feel the beauty in his heart from every call. Thank you, dear friend , for your generosity and compassion. GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN!

In my mind, Rush’s greatest contribution is that he taught us all how to think, not what to think as leftist media like to say. For a simple example, Pelosi says she wants a 9-11 style investigation into what happened on January 6th. Well, we all immediately think this would probably be nothing more than a witch hunt to advance the idea of the growing threat of white supremacy and possibly an effort to avoid scrutiny for her own involvement. At the very least, we are all skeptical.
My point is, that if the Speaker of the House announced this type of investigation in 1986, or before Rush, we probably would just naturally believe the investigation would be necessary and impartial. Not today, though. We have all become critical thinkers. Thanks, Rush.

I really HATE these lazy, chopped up messes of "reports" which a just a bunch of twitter crap sliced and diced together.
LAZY reporters, tossing social media junk into a file is just irritating.
I love Rush, but couldn't wade through this mess.
