On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stated that Democrats must tackle issues like “improving our democracy. Making D.C. a state, automatic voter registration,” and vowed Democrats will get “big, bold change” “no matter what.” He also commented on the possibility of abolishing the filibuster by stating, “failure is not an option. We must create change.”Schumer said, “Well, Rev., we have one goal: big, bold change in America. We would like the Republicans to join us in some of those things at least, and maybe they will. But we are going to get that change no matter what.

If it is so unfair that residents of Washington, D.C., cannot vote for president and Congressional representation, then let half of them vote in Virginia and half in Maryland. Two states from which D.C. was created.

I wish someone would ask these evil ones WHY do we need such change, except to empower you? How is automatic voter registration helping anyone, except those that stole the last election? How will eliminating the filibuster help us? It will only hasten America's decline and we do not understand why you so urgently desire that, except we really do and we despise it..

Washington, D.C. was donated by Virginia and Maryland. After the Civil War, Virginia didn´t return its share of the land. So all of what is currently D.C. was once part of Maryland. Let everyone in D.C. vote in Maryland. Plus, the denizens of D.C. already do get to vote in presidential elections, with three electoral votes.
Let´s look at land area. Rhode Island: 1,214 square miles. D.C.: 68.34 square miles. So, we´re supposed to accept a new state that is 1) horribly governed and 2) 1/17.76 the size of the current smallest state. No, just no. In addition, I believe it would be unconstitutional to make the federal district into a state.

Making DC a state would require a Constitutional Amendment

By the time is all said and done will have on-line voting. It'll be so people can conveniently vote from their homes. If you're not the actual voter for your parents in the old folks home, you'll be able to mark a disclaimer that you're voting for them and the votes are what they told you they wanted.

No problem Chuck... Whatever you say! The voters are no longer a part of the issue... Just the voting process! The RINO's have already surrendered... The Republic is lost.

Whenever you hear someone advocating for change, ask them what exactly they want to change. Most likely you’ll get a blank stare.

By change Schumer means change all the rules so Democrats never lose another election ever again. By adding more states, packing the SC, open borders, allowing illegals to vote, and yes mail in voting ,all of this is aimed at the Democrats never have to worry about elections. The fix will be in. Wake up America. The USA has become the Titanic, and we are taking on water. The iceberg of 2020 (the 2020 election) has torn a huge hole in our ship of state. If we don't fix the damage we are doomed for the same fate. That iceberg is dead ahead.

Schumer is going to get that big, bold change but not the one he is expecting. When the patriots get started on Congress they can look forward to term limits and say goodbye to lifetime pensions and health care. We are tired of their abuse and law breaking.

Why go through the trouble and law required to create a state. Let the zombie cadaver, Joe Biden, EO Washington into a state. I don't understand the urgency of this lunatic thought of a tiny spot of land to become a state. People have property and homes larger than the area of Washington and they are more apt to be a state than Washington. Schumer is blowing smoke for some reason.

Those of us who oppose Tyranny must demand a return to a Republic under the Constitution. Executive Orders must be challenged in the courts until the Rule of Law is restored.
