Mitt Romney made the rounds on the Sunday shows this morning. As expected, he was pressed on impeachment and took the opportunity to bash Donald Trump. At one point on Chris Wallace’s show, the host said it sounds like he’s going to vote to convict Trump, and Romney still couldn’t just be upfront, instead choosing to say he wants to hear the defense first. Yeah, I’m sure that’s going to change his mind.Regardless, another topic also came up regarding who the future of the GOP will be over the next several years. Romney mentioned some names, and be warned, you may want to stop sipping your coffee before reading them.

Anytime Romney acts or opens his mouth, it is a great reminder that is was a very good thing he never made it to the level of President of the United States.

This is the Future of the Republican Party:
Schumer promises McConnell he can keep the Filibuster if he helps to impeach Trump
Schumer and McConnell Impeach Trump
Democrats screw McConnell and eliminate the Filibuster
They pack the Supreme, Federal Appeals and Federal District courts
They mandate mail in voting, no verification and vote counting after election day
They shut down Republican Internet, Radio and TV programing
Game over Republicans

Doesn't the GOPe realize how much Mitt tarnishes their so-called brand? Believe me, the GOP is worried. Yesterday, I received four phone calls (unanswered) asking me if I will vote in the Texas GOP primary in 2022! They are very worried and and Mitt compounds the trouble for the GOP.

It matters not who is chosen to head the GOP over the next several years unless the Dominion voting machines are confiscated and destroyed. I hate to press one who has done SO MUCH for America, but please stay our leader, President Donald John Trump!

Hogan and Sasse are both RINOs. No such luck and it's laughable! You can see how out of touch Mitt is and I'm not surprised.

I have an idea. Let's flip the scr*pt (full word not allowed for some reason) on the GOP; let's pretend that we support them, while stabbing them in the back, right up to the time they need US most.

#2, yes it is game over, but not from what you listed It is game over because the GOP did not fight the corruption in the 2020 election but simply did what they always do, give in. That lack of action lost their base which they will not get back. That is why the GOP is done.

In one of his recent monologues, Rush Limbaugh said something like "you have to ask yourself why you're a Republican....." I started thinking about it, and I remembered that I'd quit the Republicans after the Mitt Romney disaster, and vowed that I wouldn't waste money on another Republican, particularly Heb! Bush. I only rejoined to vote for Trump. Now that he's gone and the Republican elites have turned on him, there's no reason for me to stay. So I'm now a registered independent.

#13 and #14 - Mitt's republican opponent is also LDS - a great guy named Mike Kennedy. Romney won by spending big money to get the primary caucus system here changed. He actually lost in the caucuses, but was able to get enough signatures to have his name placed on the ballot in the primaries (previous to Mitt we didn't have that signature option). He had great name recognition here because of the 2002 olympics.

# 9, people like Romney, Sasse and the others DON'T CARE if they're out of touch. They might even take that notion as a point of pride, a verification of their own sage wisdom. As far as they're concerned WTP WILL accept whatever they serve up and we WILL like it. They really are that arrogant.

If Republican voters don’t clear out the Wimpy Republican RINO class by way of voting against just about all Republican incumbents as a rule of thumb in future Republican State primary elections, the Republicans are not going to have any chance of passing any of the conservative political agenda into laws or winning future elections. Republican voters had better wake up and recognize their big problem, State level Republican Parties, as those are the know nothing Republicans who have been the facilitators of RINOism, a problem that the Democrats don’t have, by nominating by all along RINOS to run in State level primary elections as Republican candidates for seats in the US Congress. Once those RINOs are elected and get to DC they immediately change their politics and cross the Congressional aisle to help the liberal and leftist political agenda look bipartisan. A prime example of that is Sass who was elected in the supposed Republican State of Nebraska. Right before the general election Sass came out as a backstabbing extreme never-Trump politician probably causing Trump to loose the Congressional District surrounding The City of Omaha, and accordingly one Electoral College vote. Obviously Sass intends to run for the 2024 Republican nomination for President, maybe with Romney, as two holier than thou liberal Republicans who the aggressive Democrats would crush during the Presidential campaign. Part of Sass’s thinking in that respect was very self-serving in that he did not want the Trump-Pence ticket to win the 2020 election as if they did win, Pence would have been the 2024 Republican front runner for the Republican nomination for President, thus giving a future Romney-Sass ticket no chance.

One of the few things I’ve found comforting these past few weeks is that I’m an independent and not a Republican. Not sure how much longer it will take, it the sooner you hold out “we can’t split the party” type Republicans get off your plantation, we can begin to build a New Party!

The funniest thing is that he thinks there is actually a future for the GOP.
The Republi-can't Party died to me in November, when they constantly stabbed President Trump in the back and failed to fight the huge vote cheating and stealing the Demon-Rats did!!! I officially changed to "Independent Conservative" after a lifetime of being a Republican.
I will still support strong conservative candidates who run as Republicans, but I will donate directly to their campaigns. Never another penny to the useless, impotent, spineless Republi-Can't Party!!!!!!

Romney could choose Superman, Batman and Green Lantern and it still would not bring republican voters and their donations back. I am waiting for the moment when the GOP finally gets it that they made their final mistake and we have abandoned them at the edge of the swamp where the alligators will soon find their bleeding bodies.

They can surrender to the Democrats. Its probably their ultimate goal.
Sasse, Christie, and Hogan?
Have to add in Pierre Dilecto of course.
Add in Low Energy Jeb, Kasich, and Flake.
No doubt there are others.
