Reporters for left-wing publications and other liberal critics tore into The New York Times after the paper published a story focusing on an expensive Rolex watch worn by President Joe Biden.Reporter Alex Williams, in a story headlined, “Is That a Rolex on Biden’s Wrist?” claimed that the president is “breaking from prevailing presidential tradition” by wearing a brand of watch often associated with luxury.“At his inauguration, Mr. Biden laid his hand on the family Bible wearing a stainless steel Rolex Datejust watch with a blue dial, a model that retails for more than $7,000 and is a far cry from the Everyman timepieces that every president not named Trump

Could be a $20 Chinese knockoff picked up by Humper while on a "business trip." A fake watch for a fake president, all in perfect symmetry.

Being a watch "freak" I would hardly fault him for wearing a $7,000 Rolex..as it is said..that is almost an entry level price point..Personally, if I could afford it I would jump on the classic Cartier Tank with the Deployant buckle..but that's just me..so I settle for the look a likes..which have the look but don't break the bank..

Nothing says "Lunchbox Joe" as Joseph Robinette Biden wearing an expensive Rolex. No Timex for J. Robinette! What a piece of work.

They don't call him faux joe for nothing. He's as fake as a seven-dollar bill. He's been in government over 50 years; why shouldn't he be rich enough to wear an expensive watch. I demand to see his taxes, doggonit.

Who gave it to him?
You don't think he bought it for himself, do you?

Was unaware that Rolex made a Mickey Mouse watch. As Safire's Moma said to The Kingfish: What do you need a watch for. You ain't got no place to go and no body cares when you get there.

JFK was wearing his Cartier Tank in the November 1963 Dallas motorcade. His most famous watch was the engraved Rolex 'President' Day-Date given to him as a 45th birthday present by Marilyn Monroe. LBJ was comfortable wearing his Rolex President. Welcome to the Great Society. BHO's Shinola is not cheap but it is 'assembled' in Detroit of 100% foreign parts. Nor is BHO's Jorg Gray cheap. Both are quartz movements. Clinton and BHO's watches were worn to present themselves as presidents 'of the people.'

Looks like to keep their liberal buddies happy that the New York Times should stick to reporting what color socks Biden wears when he is not taking days off to rest.

The comments after the article were interesting. It's still all about the real President, Donald J. Trump. They can't get him out of their unhinged minds. PDJT is still driving them crazy. It's a beautiful thing.

This article does point to the shiny object on his wrist and NOT what is in his hand, a Bible. As a Catholic, it sickens me that this guy who fully supports and promotes abortions to be paid for around the world (executive order just signed) That is a sick sick dude.

I will never forget a Newsweek article I read decades ago on Jimmy Swaggart. It included the line, "....as he sneaks a glance at his Rolex watch." Do you understand why I do not associate with liberals?

Well, he is a "public servant" after all. Why would anyone begrudge him luxuries the public can't afford?

$7,000 for a stainless steel watch. For that price, I would expect at least some 14K gold.
For #2, I wear a Cartier Colisee watch which is 18k, has 1.35c in diamonds around the dial, an ivory face and crocodile strap with 18k deployment closure. It has a round face and is a classic. I bought it used from a very reputable online dealer and it cost less than Fingers’ flashy stainless steel watch.

That's true, #1.
I had almost the same looking watch. It was a RoLex, and cost me $16 US in Shanghai.
Unfortunately, the watch is not moisture-proof and fogs up in high humidity.
Lasted about a month

When I was stationed at Fort Dix New Jersey in 1968 on my first leave I went to Baltimore Maryland on the bus. When a group of us arrived at the bus terminal being in full dress uniform we were accosted by hustlers with fake Rolex's on the inside of their trench coats and up their sleeves for $25. Needless to say Sunday evening back at the post everyone was wearing a fake Rolex.
Being the everyday man Lunch Bucket Joe catching the train to work in the senate he met one of those 'entrepreneurs' and purchased his 'Rolexxx'. A fraud president with a fake Rolex is believable.

Gimme a break...does your wife often go in public wearing designer clothes? And we're going to chortle over an expensive, luxury wristwatch? Remember when Pat Nixon had a "respectable Republican cloth coat"?

I wouldn't wear one. They're fugly to begin with, and pretentious otherwise. I'd rather buy a nice watercolor as one example.
