Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will resign from her Senate seat on Monday ahead of Wednesday's inauguration ceremony. Harris has already started the process by notifying California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D). She's then expected to make an announcement on Monday resigning from her Senate seat, according to Harris aides."She's notified Governor Newsom, and has sent her formal indication that she will be resigning on Monday, January 18. And then she will make a formal announcement on Monday," said an aide. Newsom has already announced that he will appoint Alex Padilla, California's secretary of state, to fill Harris's seat

You mean to say she can't keep both jobs/salaries? Heck, why not!

As #2 noted it could be justified as reparations for the sins committed against Jamaican Indians.

So the Senate can meet and vote down the impeachment before Trump leaves office? Excellent!

Um, isn't that a Federal Holiday?
Are they actually open for official business on a Federal Holiday?

Is Joe showing for her inauguration?
Jill should remind him to put on matching socks so he doesn't embarrass the incoming President on her big day.

That such an utterly useless and worthless excuse for human DNA can rise so high and sit a heartbeat away from the most powerful office in the land or the world, is indicative of a far more serious sickness in and dangerous condition of our system. Joe Dementia didn't pick her. Jarrett/Soros did. For reasons that are obvious. God help the USA!

Now someone needs to ask both Joe and Kamala if they think they won fair and square.

Harris knew that the Democrats stole the presidential election and waited to be sure that Donald Trump didn't prevail. If she really believed Biden really won, she would have resigned her Senate seat long ago.

What, no two weeks notice? Who is going to do all of her important work until her position is filled?
Sorry, but I can't help but notice that they never use the word "position" when talking about Kamala, all I can visualize is her squirming under Willie.

By hanging on to her Senate seat, she made her succe3ssor junior in seniority to every other new Senator who took office in 2021. Shows how grasping and self-centered she really is. Many outgoing Senators over the years have resigned early to allow the governors to appoint their successors to fill the vacant seat before Jan 3 in order to give the successor an edge in seniority, but not our soon-to-be El Presidente.

Aw heck, nothing new here. She surrendered her "seat" to Willie a long time ago.

There was the risk the election would be rightfully overturned plus I’m sure she didn’t mind the extra few weeks pay she got for playing Senator. There’s a day left, but I’m not holding my breath.
