Republican Sen. James Lankford apologized to his black constituents after joining onto an effort spearheaded by Sen. Ted Cruz to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election, and told them he had a 'blind spot' about how it looked. Lankford did not vote to overturn the election results but only changed his mind after the MAGA mob stormed the Capitol.(Snip) In his letter Lankford said he had not realized that attacking the integrity of election results from Atlanta, Philadelphia and Detroit, all majority minority, would be seen as an attack on black voters.

This is absolutely no surprise to me. I was surprised that this tepid squish, who would disappear if put in front of a beige wall, would get up the gumption to do what was right. Now he crawls. What on earth are voters thinking about when they vote for the likes of him?

Only in America can a group be upset over voter integrity when it’s been proven over and over that their districts have 100 pct and some over 100 pct votes cast.

Questioning the integrity of election results in states where integrity was minimal is not an attack on black voters. Framing the discussion so dishonestly is beneath pathetic on Lankford's part.

So he apologizes to Black Voter while angering white voters.
Oklahoma has 50% Republican voters.
They have 7.8% black voters and most of them are probably Democrats.
This idiot apologizes to black voters . He must not like his job as a Senator.

This story only underscores what I've been preaching for months and months - - - -
The only Pubbie senator we can trust - - the only one we can rely on - - the only one who has been out there for more than 20 years battling tirelessly on our behalf - - is Fightin' Roy Blunt. At this very moment- - I'm sure he's still out there fighting the good fight.
Let's start a new political party - - and build it around Fightin' Roy!

This is exactly why the Republi-Can't Party is dead!!!!!
The obituary in the history books will show it had a slow death between November 3, 2020, and January 6, 2021 -- as it stood by and watched President Trump have the election blatantly stolen from him and they (with a very few exceptions) did nothing to fight the injustice and save their Republican president.
But it is definitely dead all the same!!! May it rest in Hell for all I care!!!

Is that sarcasm, #20. Hawley is a great senator....the other.....seems occasionally a bit squishy to me, but he's one state over, and I don't pay really close attention to him. Blunt voted to block Trump's wall funding. Blunt on the 2020 election "I don't think the vote was rigged." Those are errors, I think.
Blunt has been strong on gun rights (would be gone if he wasn't), and good on many other issues. I'd give him a 70-80%, perhaps. Maybe a fair reading would be higher.
