Republican Sen. James Lankford apologized to his black constituents after joining onto an effort spearheaded by Sen. Ted Cruz to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election, and told them he had a 'blind spot' about how it looked. Lankford did not vote to overturn the election results but only changed his mind after the MAGA mob stormed the Capitol.(Snip) In his letter Lankford said he had not realized that attacking the integrity of election results from Atlanta, Philadelphia and Detroit, all majority minority, would be seen as an attack on black voters. This is exactly why the Republi-Can't Party is dead!!!!! The obituary in the history books will show it had a slow death between November 3, 2020, and January 6, 2021 -- as it stood by and watched President Trump have the election blatantly stolen from him and they (with a very few exceptions) did nothing to fight the injustice and save their Republican president. But it is definitely dead all the same!!! May it rest in Hell for all I care!!!

Is that sarcasm, #20. Hawley is a great senator....the other.....seems occasionally a bit squishy to me, but he's one state over, and I don't pay really close attention to him. Blunt voted to block Trump's wall funding. Blunt on the 2020 election "I don't think the vote was rigged." Those are errors, I think. Blunt has been strong on gun rights (would be gone if he wasn't), and good on many other issues. I'd give him a 70-80%, perhaps. Maybe a fair reading would be higher.

An internal Capitol Police intelligence report issued three days before the January 6 riot warned that 'Congress itself' could be the target of MAGA protesters. The report noted that Trump supporters saw January 6—the day that Biden's electoral college win would be certified by Congress—'as the last opportunity to overturn the results of the presidential election.' 'This sense of desperation and disappointment may lead to more of an incentive to become violent,' the report warned. It continued that the rioters' potential targets were 'not necessarily the counter-protesters as they were previously, but rather Congress itself.' Meanwhile, Capitol Police confirmed Friday

Only 2,089 boxes of ice cream could be confiscated in time, the report said. The ice cream was produced by the Tianjin Daqiaodao Food Company, where the 1,662 employees were tested Thursday, and were quarantining.

Democrats are making extraordinary efforts to suppress all discussion of whether Joe Biden actually won the 2020 presidential election. In fact, they go even farther: they want to suppress all discussion of the extent to which voter fraud occurred. The Capitol Police have over 2,000 sworn officers. A police force dedicated to protecting Capitol Hill has more personnel in its service than the police forces of most of the country. Congress' private cops are the 19th largest police force in the country. It’s a larger force than the police forces of Atlanta, Baltimore, Denver, or Milwaukee with a massive $460 million budget. It’s the only legislative federal force in the country that is answerable exclusively to Congress. While Democrats advocated defunding the police, their private police force budget shot up from $375 million in 2016 to $460 million in 2020. After the Capitol Hill riot, expect it to go higher. Much higher.
