We’ve been reporting how Fox News seems to have abandoned “fair and balanced” and gone the way of mainstream news, all in on liberal talking points. It’s been ongoing for awhile, but got really bad and obvious around the election and after.
While Fox still ended the year leading the other networks for this past year, the trouble spots were obvious and their ratings took a hammering last week where they finished third behind MSNBC and CNN, the first time that’s happened in 20 years, since the Clinton administration. [Tweet]
Neil Cavuto, Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum were particularly in the dumper.

Now is the time, says former U.S. Sen. Bob Corker, for the Republican Party to transform to survive. A day after the House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump for the second time, Corker told Knox News the party must rid itself of the Trumpism that has taken over the GOP. “Look, there's no one that feels more strongly about the fact that Republicans ought to celebrate some of the policy gains that have occurred,” he said, “but never ever, ever allow someone like President Trump to serve again, certainly to become the Republican nominee or be president of the

Politico’s Melanie Zanona reported that one House Republican not affiliated with the House Freedom Caucus said as many as half of the House Republican Conference may support ousting Cheney as the third-ranking Republican over her support for impeaching President Donald Trump.

The Wyoming Republican Party on Wednesday published a list of criticisms it received from constituents about House Republican Conference chair Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) vote to impeach President Donald Trump over last week’s deadly riots at the U.S. Capitol.“There has not been a time during our tenure when we have seen this type of an outcry from our fellow Republicans, with the anger and frustration being palpable in the comments we have received. Our telephone has not stopped ringing, our email is filling up, and our website has seen more traffic than at any previous time,” the Wyoming GOP said in a statement. “The consensus is clear

Workers installed razor wire atop 7-foot fencing around the US Capitol on Friday as part of an unprecedented fortification effort ahead of next week’s inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.
National Guard members are also being sent to Washington, DC, from as far away as Hawaii to provide security, with Maj. Gen. Kenneth Hara, the Aloha State’s adjutant general, saying the request for troops came Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.
A Defense Department official said as many as 200,000 Guard members have been authorized to protect the Jan. 20 ceremony, ABC News reported.

A strong majority of GOP voters view themselves as Republicans rather than devotees of President Trump's Make America Great Again, or "MAGA," movement, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen. Among the Republican voters, 74% consider themselves "more of a Republican," while 19% see themselves as "part of MAGA nation." The numbers could reflect the fallout from last week's Capitol riot, which has been broadly characterized as being led by Trump's MAGA devotees, a key part of the president's base, helped him become president in 2016. However, there is no similar, previous polls to compared percentages.

The National Mall in Washington, DC will be completely closed off to the public on Inauguration Day amid ongoing security concerns.
Only security personnel and the media will be allowed to access the traditional gathering place for crowds keen to see the ceremony, according to officials who spoke to The Washington Post.
The extraordinary shutdown of the entire mall for the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden comes as the city and federal authorities act to prevent further violence following the 6 January assault on the Capitol Building.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) expressed concern that her own colleagues in Congress might have shared her location to the mob of fanatic Trump supporters while they were storming the Capitol last Wednesday. Ocasio-Cortez's remarks comes as other Democrats have sounded off on the possibility that some GOP members of the Congress abetted the rioters as they stormed the building. Lawmakers were instructed to head for a designated 'extraction point' to seek protection from the chaos, but AOC asserted that that wasn't really an option 'because there were QAnon and white-supremacist sympathizers and, frankly, white-supremacist members of Congress in that extraction point

CNN’s Don Lemon isn’t just the dumbest man on television, like President Trump has said, he’s also one of the most dangerous. While his gaslighting in the past has no doubt inspired left-wing kooks around the country to at least consider violence against conservatives and supporters of the president, his recent rhetoric is going to get someone killed one of these days – and when it happens, he needs to be held legally accountable for it.During his nightly hand-off with another of the network’s lunatics, Chris Cuomo, on Wednesday, Lemon proclaimed that anyone and everyone who voted for the president – that would be nearly 75 million Americans at last count

Far-left political pollster Frank Luntz had his day ruined when he was forced to tell Fox News about the results from his latest focus group. While Luntz was hoping that Trump supporters had jumped ship, that couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, Luntz's focus group found that more than 91% of Trump's supporters would vote for him again (we think that number is much higher). In addition, Luntz said that 78% of Trump voters believe that the election was stolen (as they should)."91% of those who voted for Donald Trump on Election Day would vote for him again. This is a poll that was done on Monday,

Republican Sen. James Lankford apologized to his black constituents after joining onto an effort spearheaded by Sen. Ted Cruz to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election, and told them he had a 'blind spot' about how it looked. Lankford did not vote to overturn the election results but only changed his mind after the MAGA mob stormed the Capitol.(Snip) In his letter Lankford said he had not realized that attacking the integrity of election results from Atlanta, Philadelphia and Detroit, all majority minority, would be seen as an attack on black voters.
