Robert W. Merry of The American Conservative has written a commentary calling on Republicans to hold on to pieces of the Trump legacy while ridding themselves of their “toxic” leader. According to Merry, Trump succeeded in his efforts to change trade policy, keep us out of wars, and protest the Left’s attack on “Western heritage.” But now Republicans must push beyond their disgraced and deeply flawed standard-bearer to remake themselves under new leadership: In order to stay in the game they must do what Trump could not–namely, fashion a political dialectic and a mode of expression that keeps the Trump coalition intact while ousting

Screw them all.
Trump is the Best President of My Lifetime, and NOTHING will ever change that. The more the fools and corrupt cowards with an R beside their name trash Trump, the less support they will have. They are trashing their futures, not the President.

I hope Trump runs again in 2024, if he hasn't replaced Biden before then, as the legitimate president. I will vote for him. Everyone has some flaws, but the most flaws I have seen are in the Republican Party, and the traitors that advised him in the WH. What is needed is the purging of the RINOs from the Republican Party, which they control, and have led to destruction.

#1 says it all. If these stupid Republicans don't realize that they are playing to millions of fake Biden voters and Twitter bots, while betraying PJT and actual living Trump following Americans nothing will wake them up until they are all voted out in the next election.

God bless you, sir.
President Trump is so superior to leftist Globalist-Marxist Dems "it isn't even funny" (to unlimber a childish cliche). But he's the best damn thing that has happened to this country since [fill in the blank]. --Veterans for Trump 2020

Trump is “toxic” only because he doesn’t take the advice of the “experts” or the Swamp. Somebody tel me where he went wrong in the Middle East, China. North Korea, the economy etc. The haters will not ever admit they were wrong. A late friend of mine, who was one of the smartest people ever and who was built like Trump but shorter, said he “always went by his gut, and I have a big gut!”... and so it goes with Trump! In hindsight, he should have reigned in Fauci a long time ago.

The problem is, we need to have enough MAGA people running in primaries against the RINOs. Thus far, our only option seems to be to continue to vote in RINOs to keep more Democrats out. I hope that Trump spends the rest of his life working to remove all of the RINOs, and finding MAGA people to run and primary these idiots. If we can get a MAGA Congress, even as a new party, things may change. We also have to start undoing the K-12 and college indoctrination so that a next generation of youth will come of age as conservatives with knowledge of our history and respect for the USA.

In essence, Merry wants Trump conservatives to go to a re-education camp where the more moderate "level heads" will indoctrinate us with bipartisanism in the name of national peace and global order. No... Thank... You!

Bipartisanship is when wimpy Republicans go along with the leftist and liberal Democrats and not the other way around. Watch as the Democrats crush any wimpy Republicans who do not go along with their political schemes. That’s what the Democrats have been trying to do with Trump, and as you can see the Democrats have been angry for over four years that they could not control or crush Trump. Now even after Trump is out of office the Democrats are going to continue to attempt to crush him and his family, and it looks like they may be helped by some wimpy bipartisan establishment and RINO Republicans. The ultimate objective of the UniParty DC career political aristocracy now is to ensure that no uppity populist outsider Republican, who they can’t control, ever attempts to run for President again.

All this RINO claptrap is why we need a political realignment in the US. The Republican Party is hopeless. We need a new party dedicated to the constitution, as originally conceived by the founders, not a living document to be remade into whatever fits the current leftist agenda. A party that will drain the swamp, advocate for free, honest elections, and eliminate the gravy train for elected officials, former elected officials, and lobbyists. One that will restore control to the people at large rather than the interest groups with the most money.

We chose Mr. Trump in 2016 (and, I believe, in 2020 as well) because no one better was on offer. If that is still the case in 2024, as seems likely, we'll choose Mr. Trump again. It's that simple.
