A veteran US Capitol Police officer has died by suicide, authorities and reports said Sunday, a further blow to a department already reeling from the death of a member during last week’s riot. Officer Howard Liebengood, 51, died on Saturday while off-duty, the department announced in a statement. “He was assigned to the Senate Division, and has been with the Department since April 2005,” the statement read. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and colleagues. “We ask that his family, and other USCP officers’ and their families’ privacy be respected during this profoundly difficult time.” The department did not disclose

Wonder if he was one of the guys who opened the doors and waved the protestors in.
Couldn’t live with himself for participation in a false flag? Or as OP suggests, dead men can’t tell tales?

I wonder..... Is this was the cop who murdered Ashli Babbitt?
From what I have seen, nothing else happened that would cause this kind of distress.
A sad day all around.

I'd have to do a bit of research before I could decide whether I care or not.
Same deal with FBI agents.

Interesting that they chose a photo of him with small children. Maybe he should have been a kindergarten teacher. Being a cop is tough duty - unless, like his father, you are the sergeant-at-arms of the Senate.

The other cop was not, NOT assaulted and killed by Trump supporters. That was antifa and shame ( if they had a conscience ) on them for not clarifying.

’m certain, (not really), with this very honest group in charge, that this couldn’t have been an “assisted” suicide. Maybe this guy knew too much, had a conscience, or only wanted to reveal the facts of the matter. Truth will out!

There's a lot going on behind the scenes here. So many players in this fight. No way this man's death is a participatory suicide; I suspect he committed what's now called involuntary suicide.

I believe that info is incorrect, #10. The prior SoA was Bill Livengood.

Dunno' #16. Wiki shows a Howard S. Liebengood served from January 1981 to September 1983. Maybe not correct? (wiki not always reliable, of course)

What's the back story? Was the IRS coming after him? Was about to get audited? Was he about to get laid off? Was his wife about to leave him? Was he taking psychotropics?

#2 I didn't see the video you are referring to until yesterday. I was about to post what you said until I read yours. If he was in that group then there is enough to draw attention to the investigators of this incident. I would also like to know who the guy in the gray hoody was, who was waving people in to the area from behind the police and the barricades. How did he get in there and why weren't the police worried that he was there?

The Capitol police have a history of problems within their ranks. Mostly it's a problem of low pay for the rank and file, and some corruption in management. It's similar to a click in high school. Those that go along with the higher ups do fine, those that question don't. I suspect moral isn't all that high among your regular officers.
