Trump superfans are heading for the exits.
Just hours after President Trump was permanently banned from Twitter, his diehards on the platform vowed they would move on as well. “Goodbye Twitter” trended during the early morning hours Saturday as people continued to come to grips with the leader of the free world being deplatformed.
“Goodbye Twitter friends. See you @parler,” said one user, citing a more pro free speech social media alternative to Twitter that is popular with conservatives.“I’m a small MAGA account and I have lost 400 followers in 3 days. Goodbye Twitter. You don’t want me,

We ALL need to dump FaceBook as well. Want to really send a message - cancel cable TV. There are plenty of streaming services available to watch anything one might wish but dump all the network lies and sport BLM crap and watch them whine and ultimately fold. They need to pay a price.

I never had a Twitter account. What for?
I was required to have several Facebook accounts for a job but stopped using anything and everything Facebook after I quit that place. Absolutely no loss to my life at all going from Facebook literally all day to zero.
I encourage everyone to walk away from lefty controlled toxic social media. You don't need it. At all. Really. You'll be ok.

I have never been on Fakebook or Twitter. A carefully thought out choice in each case.
I am glad that I wasn't fooled.

FTA: "In a statement, Twitter confirmed they are also purging accounts without verified ID information, which is likely adding to the exit count."
I'll bet it is a small fraction of the disappearing accounts. Rush Limbaugh left Carbonite and crippled it when all his listeners left over the next couple of quarters. The Carbonite CEO admitted it. Now Rush has left Twitter, and I'll bet his followers will also (I did yesterday). Let's see what happens with twitter.

I left twitter 11/3, and deactivated facebook last week. Facebook is the hard one since most of my family live out of state or in other cities and it is a convenient way to stay connected. It will be interesting to see what happens to FB, Twitter and google (banning the parler app) stock on Monday.

We can't get cable where we live -- we are too rural and it's not available to us. Don't miss it because I never had it. We do have the streaming service.
I did sign up for Twitter 2016 in only because I wanted to get Trump tweets but I never used it. Only looked once and never went back. Can't remember my password.

Not on Twitter but I do read some tweets. Trump's were entertaining. He sort of had me convinced he could pull this out.

I’ve been on Twitter for 10 years. When I post I feel like I have an opportunity to express my views, although, it’s mostly in conservative articles. I joined Parler recently and just started liking it when so many conservatives joined yesterday.

Anyone who has FarceBook, Twitter, etc, is obvoussly on the internet. So, this means they also have an e-mail account. Choose a safe e-mail service and email your friends. I don't need to blather every BM I have to the whole world. BTW, I'd never send anything about a BM. I'll move on now.

Leftist media was making a lot of money off of Trump. Do they have anything to replace that? Biden has absolutely nothing coherent to say. And anything Biden 'says' on social media sounds like it was constructed by a 10-member panel.

I ditched Twitter, but although I don't go there, I'm going to wait to dump Facebook completely until there is a good Trump-approved/created alternative. That way my last post can be a link to my address on the new site. Of course, that might be shadow-banned by FB as happened to my friend's poor dog-sitter who would post conservative links on her page. She has been basically put out of business because of Gov Gruesome's covid dictates and posting on FB was her way to connect.

I was only on Fakebook for a few weeks when it first appeared and I rarely even clicked on it. Never been on any other social media but I have signed up for Parler. I tried for 3 days to get the app but was never able to get it to accept my UN and PW, so I just go to the home page and read from there.
My retired and conservative husband spends several hours a day on Fakebook and I told him this morning about what is happening and that he will probably be banned. I told him he should deactivate his account now but he said that he has friends there he likes to converse with. To which I responded, “Pick up your phone and call or text them”. But he just shrugged and walked away. He also keeps Fox News on all day and still subscribes to the hard copy of National Review. Sigh...

Add firefox/mozilla to the dump list. After more than a decade I just replace them with brave. These fanatics need to be hurt right in the wallet. Never use google, never been on any social media.
