Massachusetts lawmakers on Tuesday implemented a law expanding abortion access for certain teens and mothers past 24 weeks into a pregnancy, overriding the governor’s veto of the measure. The House voted on Monday to override the veto, 107 to 46. The Senate voted on Tuesday to override the veto, 32 to 8, meaning both chambers secured the two-thirds majority needed to bypass the governor. “The ROE Act is now law of the land in Massachusetts… Beginning today, pregnant people who once faced near-insurmountable barriers accessing abortion care can now seize the right to control their own bodies,” said Sen. The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast.
