Two governors said Sunday it’s fine if President Trump wants bigger stimulus checks for Americans, but he must sign a $2 trillion coronavirus relief and government funding package and then fight for the extra cash. “Sign the bill, get it done. And then if the president wants to get more, let’s get that done, too,” Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican, told CNN’s “State of the Union.” “The president needs to sign it.”(Snip) Rep. Adam Kinzinger, Illinois Republican, said the nation has been “put in a lurch” after Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin negotiated $600 checks, only for the president to demand more after the fact.

I'm sure the President wants to listen to two of the worst governors in the country. Maybe Wolf and Northam want to weigh in?

Well sure...they're desperate to get THEIR share of the funny money. And that, my friends, is the huge untold story of this year-long lockdown. Namely, that these blue cities and states are hemorrhaging tax revenues and are about to collapse (keep in mind, laying off fat-azzed bureaucrats is never an option in blue cities no matter how bad their finances get). And even the funny money won't be enough. Get ready for massive tax increases at all levels. THAT is why they were so desperate to get Trump out of there.

Of course that's what they want, but wasn't the point President Trump was making - there was ample amount to provide $2000 checks instead of the massive pork the Democrats demanded.

No, Trump should shut the government down. We have a pandemic. The government should be in lockdown. These spending bills are crumbs for the people, and over 2 trillion in slush money for the Democrats to spend. NO. Do not sign these bills.

If Hogan, Whitmer and the other democrat governors would only open their states, the short term benefit from the paltry stimulus bill payment wouldn't be needed.

First of all, anyone taking advice from Lockdown Larry Hogan is an idiot. The media loves this clown because he has an R beside his name, and they use that because he's a Republican so they can mock Trump. Lockdown Larry loves the attention because he wants to run for President. What a delusional clown.

PDJT wants to sign stand-alone legislation for a $2,000 stimulus check. Then he will veto the monstrous give-away-the-store pork fest that Pelosi and company bullied the Pubbies into accepting. Don't hold your breath waiting for Nancy to pass stand-alone checks for $2,000. She'll stonewall and caterwaul that it's all Trump's fault that the people don't get their checks.

159 million Americans received the previous stimulus checks. At $600 apiece, that would total $95 Billion dollars. Being generous and adding the other $365 Billion in small business loans, that still leaves another $440 Billion dollars being called Covid Stimulus money. That tells you that this bill wasn't intended for the American people, but was clustered together for a massive bail-out..... being sold as stimulus money for the American people.
Concerning the additional money for unemployment benefits? It wouldn't be necessary if the state-level draconian restrictions were lifted and the economy was allowed to roar back to action.

These members of the elite think we are all a bunch of idiots etc. We are adults and they treat us like children. The election fraud and the 'free money' go hand in hand as it all comes down to identity theft. Just go look at Bobby Piton's testimony in Arizona (You Tube) & Jovan Hutton Pulitzer's investigation of the 'not mailed' ballots. How many of those original $1200 checks went into some hazy bank accounts run by scammers? You clean up the election rolls and a large portion of that identity theft will be cleaned up too!

The democrat pork bill is related to COVID just as closely as half of the declared COVID deaths are related to COVID.
I want to see the riot-damaged, burned-out democrat cities remain as they are for as long as possible to maybe teach the racist, America-hating delusional leftists a lesson in how to behave like human beings.

Where have we heard this before?
Pass the "temporary" tax, pass the stopgap spending bill, pass the stimulus.
Than later we'll address the debt and the deficit.
"Later" means after everybody currently in the country is dead and the barbarians are at the gates wanting their money

Suspend FICA, SS and federal income taxes for a year - for both employees and employers, and do away with the minimum wage laws. Allow employers to pay their employees in cash with no reporting to the feds. Kind of like illegal aliens getting paid in cash under the table.

Yea, everybody is lining up to bash the President on this one, too. Maybe I am wrong, but isn't this legislation which the Congress held up until less than a week before they were to leave town, again? And isn't the Congress responsible for presenting legislation that is not the usual inflated, corrupt garbage that they have been pushing down the throats of American taxpayers for generations? And, by the way, saying "we will talk about the $2000 later" is pure b.s. I hope President Trump--and, yes, we really need that unemployment benefit, my husband and I, makes them sweat blood on this one.

If they are for it, the President needs to oppose it. This is simple. Increase the payment to AMERICANS in need, and eliminate the wasteful spending to defunct blue states and foreign entities.

The talking points were circulated, now being released to the public from the usual lying mouths. More or less the same argument advanced by Principled Republican Sen. Pat Toomey; pass the foreign aid pork, no doubt laden with kickbacks to the Uniparty, then worry about getting more than $600 to the people. What a shameful nation we've become.
