In reaction to the Supreme Court dismissing a lawsuit from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to overturn presidential election results in four states, the state’s Republican Party Chairman Allen West posed, “Perhaps, law-abiding states should bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution.”“The Supreme Court, in tossing the Texas lawsuit that was joined by seventeen states and 106 US congressman, has decreed that a state can take unconstitutional actions and violate its own election law,” West said in a press release published Friday. “Resulting in damaging effects on other states that abide by the law, while the guilty state suffers no consequences.”

I'd vote for this. It most likely will lead to another civil war. I'm old. I'd hate to see this. If Trump fails to fix this fraud, we are done as a country because the one world order people will take over. This is sad.

I'm in agreement with that 100%. I would live PA in a heart beat. We have clowns running in our PA House and Senate. Either they go and I'm out of here.

A Convention of States has become an absolute MUST! Lots of things need to be repaired.

The United States has become a corrupt Thugocracy. I don't dare stop paying my taxes any more than someone being extorted by the Mafia would stop paying their protection. But I sure want to. I would much prefer to be part of a Union that has my interests at heart and is a nation of laws, not thieves.

Please stop talking about states. Existing state boundaries are largely meaningless. Think small Think regions, think voting districts.
The split will be on a much more finely divided basis than states.

Yesterday I hears someone on TV talk about it being time to form a New Party. They said with TRUMP leading 70 million of his followers, the Party would Stand! I thought about it, and decided it was a good idea. A timely idea! After all, how many "Republicans" have stabbed us in the Back during this fight to put Trump (who actually DID win) back in the White House. Think about it! At every turn, Republicans in power shot us down! So, what do we now have? We have a Republican Party that is NON RESPONSIVE to the people they represent! Simple as that! So, maybe it IS time to move away from them and start up a Party of CONSERVATIVES! Not RINOS!

What we need is a peaceful divorce. But tyrants always balk when their subjects want freedom.
This country was founded by men and women willing to fight to get freedom from England.
If we have to....it beats becoming subjects of China with no voting rights and no constitutional rights.

I haven't gotten to this point yet. But, getting close. I would like to hear Justice Barrett's view of why the case was thrown out without consideration. Maybe I am missing something here. But, doubt it.

Who besides Texas? North Dakota? Wyoming? Where will you live? What will you do? Besides, it gets pretty darn cold up there. Talk of succession is poppycock. Better to discuss how to hunker down for the next 4 years or more. You thought Hussein was bad?!!?!

Regardless of how this plays out, I believe that it's time to abandon the Republican Party. It has shown itself to be untrustworthy and riddled with backstabbers who talk a good line but who become turncoats when the going gets tough.
In thinking about what to name the new party, the one name that leaps out has already been taken - the "Constitution Party." I intend to seriously look at its leaders and current platform to see if it has the potential to grow into a major party. But the thing I like most is that it has the single most important founding principle that every true conservative can rally around, namely, the U.S. constitution, as written. If all other issues are subordinated to that founding principle, I'm in.

A new party is a good idea #10. But, with fixed elections, how can it ever win?

is not to destroy America.

There is a much easier way than creating a third party, and that is, break up the states like Ca.and N.Y. , etc. Separating the major cities from the rest of each State would break up the Democratic strangle hold on elections. New York and Ca. could easily be two, or even three separate States, with larger populations than many other States.

We will eventually split this country but the path to get there is not what these people have in mind. Voting is no longer a viable process.

Allen West...his leadership will ensure a purple then blue Texas before long. A political "Wreck it Ralph." There's a reason he was redistricted out of his House seat in FL.

This idea might be playing into Democrat hands, as for decades the Left have pressed for a new Constitutional Convention in hopes of rewriting the Constitution without the pesky freedom of religion and right to keep and bear arms.
As for a second internal war to fix our divide, remember that the first war was really a War Between the States, with the ideological and lifestyle divide being rather geographically delineated. Today's divide is more intermixed, which would make it more of a Civil War. Plus, the first time the South did not want to conquer the North -- just to separate from it...

I was looking at the cover of Kurt Schlichter’s book “People’s Republic” this morning and it shows the country divided with the west coast, the northeast and the upper Midwest blue and the rest of the country red. Looking at it I thought that some of those upper Midwest states would likely stay red as well as Alaska. So the new Constitutional Union would have all of the oil and produce most of the food. It would also have most of the military bases. The blue states would all be welfare states and would starve and self-destruct. Works for me.
