Exit Sidney Powell, the Robert
Welch of the Trump Legal Team

Original Article

Posted By: MissMolly, 11/23/2020 4:25:08 AM

Trump’s legal team has ditched Sidney Powell, who has played a starring role in Trump’s post-election effort by broadcasting lunatic conspiracy theories. Apparently the fact that Powell has shared none of her alleged evidence with anyone in Trump’s orbit finally made Trump’s attorneys doubt the promised emergence of a Kraken, even though they brought her to spout her poisonous absurdities at the RNC press conference last week. Powell has been interviewed by a bunch of high-profile right-wing media figures over the last two weeks, all of whom credited her. Do any of them mind that she evidently misled them? If so, it’d be good to hear it.

"lunatic conspiracy theories": Nothing more lunatic or more conspiratorial than Trump is Putin's puppet. Years of that with dozens, if not hundreds/thousands of leftists playing along and/or contributing. The voting machine manipulation doesn't even require a conspiracy, just one guy who knows how to operate the back door.

Why would someone as smart as Sidney Powell risk everything she has ever worked for in order to lie to the American public? That makes no sense. I am going to hold on to thinking she is going to prove them all wrong because if she is right, our Republic will be intact for at least 4 more years. I pray that God will bless her and us.

what i heard is, she is operating as an aligned but independent entity, and that there are at least two reasons, one being she represents flynn whose dispute is with DOJ which PDJT is nomimally in charge of so she cannot take pay from POTUS, would be conflict of interest. And that she likes the independence anyway, short term at least. But is aligned, same today as yesterday and the day before. This is not a change, just a clarification. Which makes Rich Lowry someone without enough connections to know stuff, without the ability to zoom around and find out stuff from those who do, who uses a megaphone to comment even so in those circumstances. And is mean when he does. Ugh.

In an interview a few days ago, Ms. Powell stated herself that she isn't working for the Trump administration, but, rather, independently. However, let's not let facts get in the way of smearing her--especially since she's over the target. Looks like Rich fired off the NRO blunderbuss prematurely again. When is NR going to learn that in the grand scheme of things, they are so beyond any credibility or relevance to the rest of us? They shot their wad with that nasty and vitriolic issue during the campaign, and revealed themselves to be NeverTrumpers. I suspect that the separation was publicly made, because now she can still accept donations from us without the usual limitations that being part of the Trump campaign team would bring. She is like a tenacious pitbull terrier when she sinks her teeth into an issue, and I believe she is going to prevail. Not Lowry and his hateful rag. They will never forgive us for choosing Bush over McCain, and Trump over Cruz. We ignored them and they want their payback.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf ordered restaurants and bars to halt the sale of alcohol on the evening before Thanksgiving to try and mitigate possible upticks in coronavirus cases. According to KDKA of Pittsburgh, Wolf cited Thanksgiving eve as the "biggest day for drinking" and said the one-night ban is necessary despite the hard economic hit the service industry has taken from the pandemic. "The thing that we can’t do is ignore reality and say, ‘Yeah, you folks, for no fault of your own, have been hit hardest by this virus.’ But the virus is what’s doing this. It’s not me. It’s not the administration. It’s not the government," Wolf, a Democrat, said.

As a “socially distanced” Thanksgiving nears, and as the worst year of modern American history begins drawing to a close, our readers can be excused for thinking there are very unwelcome developments and needed adjustments extant in our culture and society. Clearly that’s the case if we’re going to have to spend the next four years with Joe Biden in the White House. That’s a prospect that augurs something really unappetizing. Namely, that 2021 could very well be a worse year than 2020 has been. One key reason we’re where we are is that most Americans have allowed social media to have some power over our lives.

When the top players gathered in Torquay, England, last year for the World Scrabble Tournament (this year’s contest should have been this week, but has been cancelled thanks to you-know-what), it was to use ‘words’ like these in their games: dzo, ch, foyned, ghi… Yep, that’s right; a whole lot of words that, let’s be frank about this, are not words. That’s why my spell-checker underlines them in red. The top players, you see, don’t win tournaments by being cleverer than the rest of us. They do it by memorizing a long list of non-words so they can avoid the problems ordinary players encounter.

One of the most undercommented on features of the 2016 election was the fact that Hillary Clinton outspent President Trump 2-to-1. She lost a squeaker. In 2020, little changed. Joe Biden outspent Trump by nearly 2-to-1. Although he won, his margin of victory in the states that he needed for the required electoral votes was smaller. For all of his financial dominance, the favored candidate won by the skin of his teeth. Earlier this year, Tom Steyer spent hundreds of millions of dollars to go nowhere in the Democratic presidential primary. Michael Bloomberg put an exclamation mark on that folly with his futile presidential candidacy. It turns out that you can spend

President Trump formally exited the 1992 “Open Skies” treaty with Russia yesterday on the ground that Russia wasn’t performing its obligations under that agreement. The treaty allowed each nation to fly reconnaissance aircraft over the other to inspect weapon systems. Trump also directed that two Air Force aircraft, specially equipped for that mission, be disposed of to handcuff any effort by a president Biden next year. The disposal of those aircraft isn’t likely to take place before Trump leaves office — if he does — in January.Trump’s announcement last week that we would be reducing our troop levels in Afghanistan and Iraq to 2,500 in each nation

Look folks, there’s an easy way around the government ban on having a traditional Thanksgiving feast with friends and family. Hold a protest against colonialist oppression instead! As we know, protests are exempt from the rules, and are “scientifically” proven to pose lower risk of COVID spread than, say, a MAGA meetup or a motorcycle rally in Sturgis. It’s foolproof (necessary when dealing with government fools these days): just make up a sign that says, “This protest meal is 1619 Project compliant.” Who knew that the Ibram X.
