One more reason just surfaced marking the importance of keeping the U.S. Senate in Republican hands – Joe Biden’s plans to tax American gun owners.Well, the owners of certain guns, like AR-15 rifles.According to a new report by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a gun-rights group, there are some 20 million rifles and 150 ammunition magazines of the dreaded ‘assault weapons’ style in circulation today. Biden’s gun control plan includes:- Ban the manufacture and sale of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Federal law prevents hunters from hunting migratory game birds with more than three shells in their shotgun. That means our federal law does more to protect ducks than children.

I have a friend who's husband was a gun nut. All registered in his name. He passed away and she has the guns. She figures the government can't tax or confiscate what they don't know about.

I foresee a lot of boating accidents if this gets passed.

#8, no firearm is capable of assaulting. They are inanimate objects. I have been saying this for years...
The first time a gun is arrested, indicted, tried, found guilty and sentenced to prison, then and only then will I consider the left’s arguments for gun control.

All the Constitutional Rights, (or anything else you want), you can afford. Pay the Big Guy.
Laws are for poor people (who are just as smart as white people - by the way).
Rights are for rich people. Make the checks out to Hunter.

Yeah Joe come and tax my 'fifty clips'. I don't have an assault rife much less an AR-15 so Joe will have to find something else to tax for his Green New Deal.

Who says that he will have enough votes from Congress Critters to pass such a gun tax law? As it stands now Biden would need at least 60 votes in the Senate, and remember all the House Congress Critters are going to have to run for re-election in less than two years. Remember the last big gun control law that the Democrats passed cost them control of the Congress, Obama recognized that and is why he limited his gun control efforts to talk.

“Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against – then you’ll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now, that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

A bit of history for you people =
Prior to the introduction of pump shotguns, and semi-automatic shotguns, duck hunters used double barrel shotguns.
Sportsmen's groups thought the new guns were unsporting, so they lobbied for restrictions on capacity, compromising on three shells.
There is also a military angle to gun possession. As a USAF Medic, I only handled guns once, in basic training,
and had to qualify with an M-1 carbine. I would love to own one of those, but can't afford one.
Oldest son served in the 1980s, 504th Rangers, 82nd Airborne, and when he got out of the Army, bought an eastern European 'assault rifle.' WWII veterans bought M-1 rifles, some bought 30-06 rifles.
If Dementia Joe wanted to stop criminal behavior, he would push for serious jail time for using a gun of any kind in the commission of a crime. Instead, he is virtue signaling.

Every gun purchased legally requires a Federal Background Check. When this was mandated into law. a provision of said law states that the checks cannot and will not be used as a gun registry. In order to change this, Biden will need more than a "Pen and a Phone". The Left will never secure the votes to change the current system an enact taxes on those purchasers. The only thing he can do is enact taxes on new sales after Jan 4th 2021. Watch for sales of guns and to skyrocket between now and then.

Biden has already surpassed obamazombie in gun sales...have you tried to buy a new gun lately? Out Of Stock has become the mantra everywhere...and the ones available are so overpriced you wouldn't believe...
But then you can still get them 'out of a trunk' in Chicago and other dem cities...NO taxes either...NO background check..just cash...

A tax law like what Biden is proposing targets law abiding gun owners as they are the people who would pay the taxes but never be involved in any sort of gun crime. The street level criminals buy their guns “under the table” and along with intending terrorists are not about to pay that Biden onerous tax on their guns. Politically it is advantageous to the leftist and liberal Democrats and the socialists who have successfully invaded the Democrat Party to effectively make felons out of tens of millions of currently law abiding American gun owners when they refuse to pay that Biden tax, because all who are convicted of such a felony will lose their right to ever own a firearm in the future, and also their voting rights. Since most would be Trump Supporters, the effective enforcement of such a law would amount to a massive political wet dream for the Democrats. That is until the Democrats loose control of the Congress in 2022.

It's not "only" the gun control measures and potential tax windfall for the Left. Look at the larger picture and the potential for real criminal misbehavior by some among the the eager globalists...aren't many of them anxious to get into the UN small arms treaty that Trump walked away from? Whether intentional or not (especially with what we have learned about political family ties and business dealings), who believes that the government's weapon registration information would NEVER be released to, say, Russia or China, under the guise of international cooperation? Names, addresses, photos and fingerprints...
