More than 300,000 New Yorkers have bailed from the Big Apple in the last eight months, new stats show. City residents filed 295,103 change of address requests from March 1 through Oct. 31, according to data The Post obtained from the US Postal Service under a Freedom of Information Act request.(Snip) “They’re afraid of catching a deadly virus and they’re afraid of crime and other quality of life concerns. One thing we also hear is about trash and cleanliness of the city.” The institute’s survey of six-figure earners in July and August found that 44% of respondents had considered moving outside

I hope they left their liberal voting proclivities in New York before they left.
Probably not/.

I suppose it is inevitable. Still, I get all nervous when I see those orange and black plates. It means someone who is pushy, loud, usually obnoxious, and is comfortable paying insane taxes and demanding things from government. And a good chance I'm going to get mugged.
If one moves in near me maybe I'll do the neighborly thing and fix him up with some shine and let him ride my wheeler in the mountains. That should fix it.

Stay out the South, and don't bring that craziness here. We're hicks and we marry our cousins and stuff. And, we don't care for Yankees much. Leftist Yankees anyways. Tell your basement dwellers, we don't play that antifa and blm mess here either.

We don't want the liberals from any of those states. They move to a conservative county in another state because they destroyed their liberal cities/counties. Then they want to change our counties to be like their liberal counties/states. No thanks, stay the hell away from our state.

Article: "There were 13,009 requests for the Sunshine State counties of Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade."
New York City people have been relocating permanently to these three counties for decades. Birds of a feather. Result: These counties - by far - have the rudest people in Florida. It's best for other places in Florida these people remain in the counties.
It's common knowledge that these counties have the worst voter fraud in Florida. Palm Beach County was the "Hanging Chads" county in 2000 (Bush v. Gore).
Many people from NY are "Snow Birds." They live in NY and flock to Florida for the winter.
I'm convinced that far too many vote in NY and vote a 2nd time in Florida. I have never understood why this voter fraud problem is allowed to continue. If computers can flag an unauthorized credit card withdrawal, why can't computers flag when a person who has voted in a Presidential election in NY attempts to vote a 2nd time in Florida?
According to the website "city-data" * - in 2016 these counties voted as follows: Miami-Dade - 63.4% Clinton; Palm Beach - 63.4% Clinton; Broward - 66.2 % Clinton. I have no doubt these totals include thousands of Snow Birds from NY who also voted in NY.
* "city-data" is an amazing encyclopedia of data regarding just about every city and county in the United States. e.g., it includes these presidential election percentages for the past six elections, a minute fraction of the many pages of data regarding these counties.

Flew down to Florida in September of 2019. Covid hit in February of 2020. Its November of 2020, and I haven't returned home yet. Not sure when or if I will return to New York. My friend that I stay with tells me to change my residence to Florida. its kind of inevitable now. I have been away so long. My brother tells me its a sellers market in upstate NY since everyone downstate is trying to get out, and I should sell my house.
2020 has been a year like none other.

Living in the destination drop zone for some of the more wealthy nimrods who fled, let me say that they've already screwed up my neck of the woods with their Chardonnay sipping presence. It used to be that we just had to put up with their arrogance in the summer. Now we have to have the media warn them that the gunfire they hear in the background is legal because it's duck season.
As a popular bumper sticker used to say, "Summer People....Summer Not".

One can not miss the explosion of New York license plates on Red State highways. I would have expected the exodus numbers to be in the millions. Maybe they are and New York is lying about it like they do with everything else.

Oh no! Super spreaders on the loose! Please do not come to red states with your vile political philosophy. We do not wish to be infected by the very policies you are fleeing. You are welcome to come and learn from people who are doing it right but do not believe you can change us because you can’t. See, we know things.

One big, central computer to control voting could potentially stop all vote fraud, all you have to do is assure complete trust in the people who program and run it. Currently, this country has no duplicate Social Security numbers or 10-digit phone numbers, no duplicate credit card numbers, no duplicate e-mail addresses, no duplicate IP Addresses, no duplicate account numbers with any bank or department store, we can control voter participation in the same way by matching votes against one common validated database and sending the voter an e-mail after their vote is received. Why isn't it done now? Democrats would never win and they would fight it tooth and nail like they do controlled immigration. Those vote dumps in the middle of the night are critical to them.

But we keep being told that the supposed spike in CV19 is happening in red states where the rubes refuse to wear masks!
I’m one of those rubes and I also refuse to believe this new spike. It’s nothing more than fear-mongering to keep the sheep in the pen. The CDC has announced that they aren’t tracking the annual flu this year - apparently anyone who gets the flu or even a case of sniffles will be named as another case of CV19.

In my neck of the woods, desert southwest, I cringe when I see a California plate, Oregon and an occasional New York plate in the grocery parking lot. I can only hope they are passing through but in the winter I doubt they are sight seeing vacationers.
Let them all go to the blue states in the far Northeast or New Jersey.

We have a lot of cars traveling through western Colorado displaying California license plates. They seem to stop long enough to get some gas and coffee then they keep heading east apparently to Denver. Many of them appear to be young families.
When my wife and I visit our children and grandchildren in Denver, we notice quite a few Cal, New York, and Illinois license plates. The Denver real estate market is on fire. If I put my first home on the market today, I'd likely be under contract by tomorrow. The political leanings of the entire Denver front range has tilted strongly to the left as a result of the newcomers.
IMHO, as for California and aside from its political problems, it remains one of the most beautiful states in the nation, northern Cal, in particular. I'll say the same for upstate New York. As for Illinois, my birth state...hmmm. Well, at least Wrigley Field looks pretty nice.

Sadly, “Northern Migration” has turned Charleston, SC from Red to Blue. It’s evident everywhere, even outside of politics, e.g common courtesy and tolerance. Thank God most of SC is still bright red!

"Quality of life concerns." That's a howler. I avoided working in that cesspool thirty years ago due to the absence of quality of life. The only upside to living in NYC was good restaurants and you can find those most anywhere. By the time you battle that traffic, find a parking space, deal with the people and pay for all the overhead just to live there, your day is already ruined.

Does this mean that New York state will lose electoral vote numbers....WE should tally California's number too... they lost massive numbers these past ten years...a complete overhaul of our voting system needs to be completed...and the voting machines own by soros henchman needs to be scrapped...canada my posterior... it's soros attempt at bringing America under global rule....it's like Judge Jeannine says... why do lefties feel the need to control US????... because WE ARE FREE...

Very sorry to hear that 23. I've spent time in Charleston, SC and always thought it was one of nicest cities in America. Beautiful city on the bay, a lot of rich history and sights to see, and the people couldn't be nicer.
It's been several years since I've been there however, sounds like things have changed. What a shame.

Apologies for a second post. "Everywhere you go, there you are" If you a Dem voting liberal 'up north' you will be one in another state complaining about how good it was 'back home' You want us to change to be like where you came from. Do US all a favor and throw the bums out 'up north'
About 50 years ago, the bumper stickers said "I-95 runs north, take it"
