For all their talk of “neutral platforms,” the Big Shots at Big Tech — Twitter, Facebook and Google — are running a protection racket. They figure they can dictate what Americans get to see and read, and what other media companies must do to reach the public via those platforms. It’s a clear threat to a healthy democracy — and Congress has noticed. On Wednesday, the Senate launched a hearing to investigate “Big Tech’s bad behavior.”Center-stage: Twitter’s strong-arm tactics to censor The Post ever since we began reporting on Hunter Biden’s e-mails.

Two thoughts....... democrats have no problem with and in fact deny that conservatives are targeted. They would be perfectly happy to see more of it. The 1st amendment only applies to them.
Secondly, considering the above facts, I dont see how anything gets resolved.
Conservatives are silenced, shamed, doxxed and threatened not only on social media and search engines, but in academia, the media, newspapers, hollywood, high schools, grade schools and by your employeer. The only place a conservative is free to express their opinion is in their own homes, providing it cant be seen or heard from your sidewalk.
Damn it people!! We are NOT the minority!!

Why use Twitter at all? Boycott it and all the other left-wing propaganda sites.

Never use twitter, facebook or google (DuckDuckgo works great). If you want honest news, there are still many sites that still tell what is happening. Unfortunately, many people still rely on the censored, biased news from the media.

I think Facebook, Twitter, and Google are committing major infractions of the public's right to free speech. However, the Constitution had no way to anticipate the modern structure of their platforms on this thing called the Internet, or the virtual monopolies they hold.
Just for the sake of discussion, assume some perp ran a business whose sole purpose was the propagation of liberal propaganda to the public. Also assume he was forthcoming about that bias, and it was no secret. Further assume that they changed their business registrations such that it clearly stated that was their business plan.
Since my use of such a business is strictly voluntary, on what legal basis could I force them to also propagate my own, conservative views?

A little a.m. cliché time—the bigger they are, the harder they fall. But I do wish them twice what they deserve.

The Chinese Commie Party develops a "Social Score" for each citizen which uses social media as one of the many inputs. Don't you know Twitter and Facebook would simply love for the USA to go in that direction too... more business for them.

I don't think there is any doubt that social media is in for a spanking. It's only hope is that Biden win the election. That's why they are so desperately blocking all truth and opinion that supports President Trump.

The phone companies are private, but can you imagine the uproar if Verizon, ATT and others disconnected customers because they monitored a word spoken against Biden?
How different is communicating by voice than typing in Twitter?

Hoe was Grigori Rasputin testifying before the Senate yesterday? I thought he was dead but he is as debauched and demented as ever.

It's simple, #4. Twitter, Google, Facebook, et. al. can be platforms, or they can be publishers. If they choose to be publishers, they are subject to all the laws and expectations put on publishers, including libel laws. Which means they are no longer protected by Rule 230.
