During Thursday night’s presidential debate, former Vice President Joe Biden stepped onto a political landmine that will certainly cost him with working class Americans when he pledged to “transition” from the oil industry throughout his administration.“Would he close down the oil industry?” Trump asked. “Would you close down the oil industry?”“I would transition from the oil industry, yes,” Biden responded.“That’s a big statement,” Trump shot back.“It is a big statement, because … the oil industry pollutes significantly,” Biden emphasized, later adding: “It has to be replaced by renewable energy over time, over time. And I’d stop giving to the oil industry

Nobody who isn't a leftist nutball thinks this is workable.
Joe shot himself in the foot with this.
California has power shortages as they head towards this crazy scheme, UK had similar problems....not enough wind to keep people's power supplied. Electric cars are super expensive, short ranged and very slow to "refuel".
Bad plan.

Without gas and oil the big winner are the Amish who will show us horse and buggies are the way to go. Or when the dims take over we will get rickshaws from China when dim bigwigs are pulled by GOPers. I will miss all the service stations all over the country. No NASCAR. Who will shovel all the mule muffins off the interstates? What will happen to the airports? The main problems with demoncraps is they are all bat guano crazy.

China Joe, channeling his inner AOC, said he will replace the internal combustion engine in your car with a windmill. And if the wind doesn't blow, old Nelly, who is riding in the back seat, will be the spare tire that you will have to hitch up to haul you to your destination. That sound you heard on the debate stage was a tired old sleazy politician who couldn't remember what he had been practicing in his basement for the past week. Unlike Paul Swift, China Joe just Flexi-Sealed his ambition to be President to the ash bin of history. But there is a bright spot, China Joe, can now concentrate on finally getting rid of his nemesis, CornPop.

Leftists LOVE destroying wildlife with their birdbeaters (windmills) and outdoor fryers (solar. I am in central Texas. Birdbeaters all being put up all around the state. The bird population has taken an incredible beating in just the last couple of years. I had read about the birds being killed by these environmentalists (emphasize the mentalist part), but reality is shocking. The flocks I used to see leaving from town close to me every morning, then returning at night to roost, no longer exist.

Best moment of the whole debate. Too bad there wasn’t a question on court packing. Trump could have gotten Biden to give an answer on that, too.

Biden's "transition" would also negatively affect millions of mineral rights owners. The transition would also cause taxes to have to be raised to cover the loss of tax revenues from fossil fuel production and use.

Looks like Fingers forgot what happened to Illary after she said that she would shut the coal industry down. West Virginia was solidly blue for decades due to the miners’ unions. Now it’s solidly red. And once again today, Illary is not president.

This was the big mistake of the night. It has to hurt him a lot in PA which is the key to the whole election. I hope the Trump campaign is already running commercials. I think Trump gets FL and OH but PA will be tough. I know WI and MI are possible but if Trump wins those states he would have PA in the bag.

I often wonder if the American people understand how important oil is to our daily lives. Oil runs e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.

#14, not only RUNS, but is used to make a LOT of stuff. Every piece of "plastic" (polymers) that you use came from oil or natural gas. Milk jugs, car seats, car bumpers, flashlights, food wrapping and packaging, literally millions of applications as materials, aside from their use to power our economy, cars, lights, water, trucks, trains, ships and aircraft.
If it moves and isn't a USN aircraft carrier or sub, 99.99% it is powered by oil. And a lot of it is MADE of oil or gas.
