Beijing is threatening to take Americans in China hostage if the Department of Justice doesn’t drop its prosecution of several Chinese research scientists arrested on U.S. soil this year, according to a report on Saturday. Chinese government officials have repeatedly warned their U.S. counterparts that Americans in China face being detained if its demands are not met, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.(Snip) The scientists were charged with visa fraud for allegedly lying to U.S. immigration authorities about their active duty statuses with China’s People’s Liberation Army. The surveillance and charges against Chinese researchers may be linked to their activities associated with covid testing and illegal shipments of virus samples to China. Recall that Canada is also investigating Chinese virus researchers who were fired in 2018 for sending unauthorized virus samples to China's Wuhan lab and who were working out of Canada's National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg.

IMO, anyone who ventures into China at this point is risking everything, for nothing. China is our enemy, has been since the ChiComs took over after WW2. Unless the ChiComs are removed by the Chinese people, which seems unlikely, China will remain our enemy permanently.

Imagine all the Chinese investments in this nation, like Smithfield and other companies. Now imagine Trump nationalizing them and ending Chinese ownership. Kick the students out as well. If Americans cannot move their companies out of China Yesterday, they are bringing this trouble on themselves. China is not in the position of strength they think they are IMO. So this is why they are going to do the cowardly thing and attack American citizens since they can't seem to get Trump to bend their way. Only thing I worry about really is our Big Pharma being over there. I would like my supplies of my thyroid meds to be stable.

Since these threats came from the Chinese Communist Government common sense should tell Americans in China that the time has come to move themselves and their business interests out of China. The problem is that the Chinese know that a good percentage of those business people are greedy and won’t leave, and that after they are arrested and held hostage by the Chinese Communists that they will fraudulently blame the US Government as they attempt to gain their freedom and get the heck out of China. If “Pop” Biden is elected, the Communist Chinese will “grease” his palms through his family members, as they have been doing in past years, to align US foreign policy to meet Chinese Communist goals, as has occurred in the past. That will not be good for the America located outside the corrupt “UniParty” and “Deep State” Washington, D.C.

A fire inside an official election drop box in Los Angeles county has damaged voters’ ballots and is under investigation for arson, officials said. The blaze Sunday night in the city of Baldwin Park appeared to be intentional, according to authorities, though the cause and the extent of the destruction were still under investigation. The fire required firefighters to spray water into the box to extinguish the flames, likely causing significant damage. Video from the scene showed dozens of wet and burnt ballots. “The arson of an official ballot drop box … has all the signs of an attempt to disenfranchise voters

The conservative Media Research Center’s Techwatch department found that the tech giants had a decidedly lopsided approach to the presidential candidates and their campaigns when it comes to flagging and axing their content. The biggest discrepancy came with Twitter, which accounted for 98% of the censorship incidents against the Trump camp from May 2018 to Oct. 16, 2020. The analysis did not include ads

Knowing the city of Minneapolis could erupt in riots again, city and state officials say they have learned from the unrest following the death of George Floyd and will better respond to trouble in the future. They’re improving their communication and planning. They have contingency plans to deploy personnel. Still, they face the challenges of a dwindling Minneapolis police force, a technologically limited 911 system and the uncertainty of when and where more unrest might occur. “I would be foolish to try and go on record and try to guarantee safety. I can’t do that,” said John Harrington, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.

From the report: Schools where at least half the student population was Black and Hispanic were nearly eight times more likely to report low student engagement or poor attendance compared to schools with lower Black and Hispanic populations. Prince William County’s jail released an illegal immigrant late last month despite a federal criminal warrant for his arrest, marking what federal officials see as an escalation of sanctuary policies. Edras Onel Vasquez-Perez, 25, had been deported before. When he was found in the U.S. again, federal authorities persuaded a magistrate judge to issue a felony warrant for his arrest. Prince William County police arrested Mr. Vasquez-Perez on Sept. 28 on charges of assaulting a family member, but the jail released him a day later, apparently ignoring both the criminal warrant and a detainer request from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
