The leadership of the Commission on Presidential Debates, which organizes the general election debates, includes many Trump critics from both parties. While the commission is officially nonpartisan and includes a mix of both Republicans and Democrats, it is overwhelmingly made up of members of the political establishment who are opposed to President Donald Trump. Majorities of both the commission’s chairmen and board members include people who have either taken aim at the president in the past or donated to Democratic political candidates, a Daily Caller News Foundation review found.

Trump should issue an Executive Order de-certifying the Debate Commission.
Their unilateral decision on the debate, without any discussion or input or discussion was insulting to the President.
This, after, their decisions as to moderators and format of yje first two debates showed a blatant bias against Trump, is unforgivable.

That Commission is made up of all DC “insider” liberal Democrats and old time wimpy Republicans, none of who support President Trump. That’s why Bob Dole knows all of them. There is no reason why the Democrat Party and the Republican Party could not directly figure out between when, where, and under which rules future Presidential Debates could be held. Dump the Commission.

So was the Trump campaign just blindsided when they agreed to these debates? Why didn't they raise the issue of the lack of impartiality among the members of this commission? It seems to me that the campaign slipped up on this one.

The debate commission didn't want to have debates anyway. The last thing they want is to give Trump a microphone. So it was their way or the highway. Win/win for them. Take their selection for moderators or no debates. At least Trump has exposed them. Best he could do. The debate commission has likely sided with the Democrats before, and nobody ever did anything. They won't ever get away with it again.

A couple of days ago, Jesse Waters on The Five read the names of the "bi-partisan" debate commission members. Not one even just on the face of it demonstrated any impartiality. It was ridiculous.
Honestly, Republicans are such babes in the woods. They take the "word" of the Dems all the time, and as a result, they wake up one day and find themselves bound and gagged. And the next time, it happens again. We have complained and hoped for change. But no luck. Debate after debate is moderated by biased, leftist peoplemmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmooops
that is me, falling asleep at the keyboard.
good night

Like this is a new development? This commission has a long history of bad debate issues and dang near EVERY moderator is biased against anything Republican. Nonpartisan my hiney, but I noticed when the veep moderator made sure to stress the 'nonpartisan' word in her intro. Also - exactly what do these insiders know of what we the people want to see and hear of our leaders? I hope Trump ditches any further debates in favor of Q & A sessions with citizens. There is no need for the two of them to be on stage together - and Trump could still better explain his vision for the next four. I can't say I've heard much from him besides deflecting the barrage of distractions being thrown about.

Dump the commission. Why do they need to get paid from the taxpayer?

Why does Trump need a "Commission" to set up a Debate? Anybody can do it. Get three Republicans and three Democrats together and let them set up the time and place. Then each side gets to pick one Moderator. They each get to ask the same amount of questions and each side gets the same amount of time for debate. Done! The "Commission" they have now is a bunch of Withered Old Deep State Has Been Doddering Old Fools!
