Notre Dame helped launch Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s journey to the federal bench, and the community is going all out to get her confirmed to the Supreme Court.
Eager to see an alumna, professor and fellow Domer on the Supreme Court, members of Judge Barrett’s university community are writing letters of support to senators, picking up her classwork and cooking meals for the Barrett family.
Nicole Garnett, a Notre Dame law professor and longtime friend, said many at Notre Dame dropped everything to attend the formal appointment ceremony at the White House. Among them were the Rev. John I. Jenkins, the university’s president, and Notre Dame Law School Dean G. Marcus Cole.

No pay wall. Refreshing that a community stands behind her.

Unlike the mewling virtue signalers from her undergraduate college, Rhodes, who ginned up a "Letter of Concern" trying to get the College to disavow her. Instead of rejecting their puerile attempt to use the College as a megaphone for their otherwise unnoticed political feelings, there has been nothing but radio silence from the institution. Shameful, I had thought better of it.

“I hope that Judge Barrett’s nomination is met with the same openness, honesty, and thoughtful deliberation that she extends to her students and cases.” I would not bet on that. The democrats are the democrats and their behavior will not change.

ND, I'd like to see the letter when it is sent to the Senators.

There is no paywall for the Washington Times, #1, but you may have run into one of the many ads at that site. Try this site to read the article:

Be mindful that ND's faculty are nearly as leftist as at any university - many are not or at best marginally Catholic. So to see them all pulling for a colleague who doesn't always agree with them is a testament to her qualifications.

Thank you #7, that worked nicely. I'm always running up against the pay wall.

Your efforts in life are always rewarded....people you touch never forget your kindness...a malcontent who is unhappy with their life cannot influence good people... the cream of society always rises to the top...

Is Judge Barrett reporting all those free meals to the federal judicial ethics commission? I think I found how the Democrats are gonna try to derail the nomination.

Re 8 - seamusm -- My son just enrolled at a fine private university in our state -- very Christian orientated (they even have required chapels to attend). Anyway, when we talked about the far-left liberal leanings of most college faculty and administrations today, I warned my son that my definition of his college faculty and administration is not that they are conservative, but "less-liberal" than the typical college faculty and administration and to use that mindset when going about his daily routines on campus and in the community.

I wouldn't count on any serious help from Jenkins; he awarded partial-birth-abortion Obama an honorary degree.
Actually, ACB's accomplishments speak for themselves. Kudos to Notre Dame for helping but we need the voices of the Republican senators to come through loudly and clearly.

Sadly, I seriously doubt it!!!!
There is nothing even remotely Catholic about Notre Dame University other than the name these days. It's just another far left indoctrination center, that will never support anything Christian or conservative -- which are two words that ACB stands proudly for!!!
Go ahead, set up a booth there an ask the students and staff how they feel about ACB -- I dare you!!!! I guarantee 90%+ of the students and staff (including sadly priests and nuns working there) will not support her appointment to the Supreme Court!!!!!

#9, try going to your cookies and deleting any of them that would have any part of the site name in them.
For Washington Post, for example, they have various forms of "washpost" in their cookie's address.
These cookies are little bits of data that your browser gets tucked into it's memory by the web site, and some sites use them as a counter, noting how many times you came to the site. Over some number, maybe 3 or 4 visits, and they insist on a subscription. Removing the cookies associated with the site of interest makes you appear as a "new visitor" and starts your counter all over again.
I have never run into that from Washington Times.
