A federal appeals court on Sunday temporarily halted a six-day extension for counting absentee ballots in Wisconsin's presidential election, a momentary victory for Republicans and President Donald Trump in the key presidential battleground state. As it stands, ballots will now be due by 8pm on Election Day. A lower court judge had sided with Democrats and their allies to extend the deadline until November 9th Democrats sought more time as a way to help deal with an expected historic high number of absentee ballots. The Democratic National Committee, the state Democratic Party and allied groups including the League of Women Voters sued to extend the deadline for counting absentee ballots after

Thank you, Judge. What an atrocity that would have been.

#2 raises a key point:
Article I, Section 4 of the Constitution states “The times, places, and manner of holding elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress May by Law make or alter such Regulations ....”
Similarly, in Section II the State Legislatures are given the responsibility for the manner in which Electors are determined for choosing a President.
While there is some reference in Article III to the role of the judiciary it would seem that the section quoted above makes it the legislature’s responsibility to deal with these election questions, not a judge. If the state wants to make different accommodations for voting procedures they should pass a law.

All states need to report vote tally’s at the end of Nov 3, Election Day! The democrats must not be allowed to cheat finding votes in places to affect the election results!

As the old saying goes: a stitch in time (to fix a small tear), saves nine (required later to fix a larger hole.)
None of this would be necessary if the republican party of CA had done their due diligence in 2018 after they lost 7 congressional seats. The law authorizing ballot harvesting in CA should have been challenged in court after it was enacted. Change to the CA electoral system should have been challenged. And losing 7 congressional seats after the election DEFINITELY should have been challenged. Millions of dollars in time and party legal fees later, here we are.
Did the republican party of CA not recognize the democrats vote-stealing strategy when it was staring them in the face? Did they not think the democrats would attempt to extend it across the country to every democrat governed city or state? Did they not, for just one moment, think what kind of havoc that would wreak across the country? Did they not ponder their laconic role in helping to create such a mess? Or did they just not care?
Yes, I am still irritated by their apparent inaction. But maybe some reasonable federal voting standards or mandates will come out of this in the end. Otherwise, we will be here again in 2024.

Wait till the U.S. Supreme gets their hands on Pennsylvania's suit. Our PA justices are as dirty as it gets. They all need to be in jail. The PA Supreme court decision violates Article 2 of the U.S. Constitution. This has been a circus, from the lockdown to the ballot fraud.

I, too, am so puzzled by the lack of interest and action by the Republican Party after the California fiasco. What are these Republicans thinking? Do they just not care? Do they believe that the democrats are honest brokers? It is mind blowing that the Republican Party is full of apathetic individuals who either do not want to acknowledge the seriousness of voter fraud or if they just don’t have the energy to do anything about it. Here we are at the most critical election in the history of this nation and we are dealing with issues that should have been addressed after 2018 and earlier. Come on, get your heads out of the sand and do your duty!

#2, if a judge can overrule the president of the US, it seems to me that a judge can overrule a state legislature. Hope I’m right about that.

FTA, notice that the judge's ruling is only temporary while the 7th circuit gets final say so.
I am similarly mystified by the republican party's apathy when it comes to voting fraud. Almost as though this is a form of passive aggressive behavior by the pubbies to encourage a Biden win. That same apathy may cause the pubbies to lose control of the US Senate. As it is, three pubbie Senate seats are in serious jeopardy. Is this the deep state's plan all along?
And AG Barr's investigation of Spygate continues to quietly disappear under the waves - where's the pubbie outrage as to the slowness of this investigation, no indictments, and recent credible reports revealing that the Obama administration was colluding directly with a Russian agent to create the dossier and spy on Trump. Hello pubbies?

#5 has it down.
The only problem is that as Stalin said: "Its not the voter who votes, but he who counts the votes" that is the most important thing.

#5 does not nail it with "If the state wants to make different accommodations for voting procedures they should pass a law. The serious problems are that many state court judges, especially in several swing states, are outrageously ignoring the duly enacted voting procedure laws under the excuse of COVID-19, including (1) extending the respective legislature's clearly stated deadlines for arrival of ballots at the applicable precincts, etc., and (2) preventing ballot reviewers from disqualifying mail in and drop box ballots although they have no signature and/or no post mark. Vote fraudsters are jumping for joy because they KNOW they are - by and large - winning in state courts. Although time is running out, these circumstances need to be quickly remedied by federal courts!

Here in New York, absentee ballots can be received up to 10 days after the election --- by mail only --- if they are clearly post marked no later than the day before election day. All "gathered" absentees much be handed in on election day and time stamped!

The ''mail in ballots'' are NOT Absentee ballots!
Absentee ballots are requested and documented. The state knows how many are requested, so they know how to prepare for counting.
Mail in ballots are chaos, and can not be accounted for.
Vote in person, or request an official Absentee Ballot! Do not count on an unofficial ballot getting counted- especially if your vote is for President Trump!

#9, Mamabear, makes a key point: “None of this would be necessary if the republican party of CA had done their due diligence in 2018 after they lost 7 congressional seats.” The California Republican Party is defeatist and does not even send recommendations on Initiatives, Sheriffs or Judges. So here we are in a Globalwarmist nightmare. Now we are letting our Marxist enemies steal the vote in the entire country. The Secret Societies are very powerful and President Donald Trump is the only barrier to the New World Order and the extinction of Western civilization.

#12 - I'm not puzzled by the lack of interest and action by the Republican Party after the California vote harvesting fiasco. There is a third option to your two questions. The CA GOPe is a shell organization for Communism, Inc. I think it goes back to before Ronald Reagan. The Republican establishment, both in California and nationally, were embarrassed by RR because like PDT he was a bourgeois American patriot. RR's work against the commies while head of the Screen Actor's Guild made him a lot of enemies. The Repub establishment fought Governor Reagan just as the DC Repubs fight against President Trump. The commies used California, Illinois and New York as their laboratories for sedition and vectors for transmission to neighboring states. With Obama they took it nation-wide.
California and all the Dim-controlled states are in the grip of the enemy. We are the front lines in the War for America's Soul, and so many of our native patriots are abandoning the battle field. I'm part of a small email group, about a dozen of us veterans from the Tea Party days and Mendocino County's 2016 Trump campaign headquarters. Half of them have left for Idaho or Utah and they sing the glories of an America still to be had. Another announced today he is closing his office and going to on-line work only, liquidating assets and preparing to leave. It breaks my heart.
Did patriots leave America during the Obamanation? No, we prayed and worked at educating our fellow citizens. God answered our prayers and Donald Trump stepped forward to lead the nation back to its founding roots; one nation, under God and indivisible. California is my birthright as much as being an American citizen. I do not think President Trump plans to abandon California, nor any of the other enemy occupied states. Patriotic citizens of those states should not abandon them either.
MAGA - Its for all 50 states or it ain't worth a damn.

The Democrats have accused the Republicans of wanting to change the balloting rules, but, so far, the Democrats have be responsible for all the changes. And, you know, the only reason they want these changes is they believe it will work to their advantage. We will be lucky if their are only 20% more ballots than registered voters in the blue states.

Yes, activist democrat judges are creating power where they have none by over-riding the state legislature when it comes to election rules. This shall not stand.
