“Mean Girls” actor Jonathan Bennett will star in Hallmark’s first LGBTQ-themed holiday movie, “The Christmas House,” the network announced Wednesday. About two months ago, the Hallmark Channel announced that its 2020 holiday movie selection would include LGBTQ storylines, characters and actors. Now, the television cable channel is making good on its promise.
“Our holiday table is bigger and more welcoming than ever,” Michelle Vicary, the executive VP of programming at Crown Media, Hallmark’s parent company, said Wednesday. “This year’s movies reflect our most diverse representation of talent, narratives, and families, including ‘The Christmas House’, featuring a storyline about a gay couple looking to adopt their first child,

Use to enjoy their movies, not anymore.
Not going to buy their greeting cards either.
Hope they go under.

Yes, but will it be a transgender child of color that the gay couple adopts? Maybe Madonna has one to spare.

I'm in the minority among my friends...I can't stand Hallmark Christmas movies. They all follow the same format, so watching one, to me, is watching them all. Now adding these "social engineering" messages will simply firm up my opinion.
I HATE being lectured on all manner of lefty approved messages in virtually every regular show. Even our favorite NCIS has turned Gibbs into a softie and had episodes on illegal immigration and homophobia, etc. I tried to watch an episode of Dateline On Demand. (I refuse to watch commercials) Well, there were no commercials but tons of the hideous "The more you know" crappola. I do not need the likes of Brian Williams, Jane Lynch, Al Roker and a whole bunch of people that I have no idea who they are, lecture me on everything from bullying to eating more fruit. Instead of the commercials, they played at least eight of these PSA's at each break. On Demand does not always allow fast forwarding.
Our last hope is the network show Seal Team...by far the best thing on TV. I highly recommend it. If you haven't seen it, see if you can watch from the beginning, you need know the context and evolution of the characters . Season 2 was especially powerful. Great writing, real masculine men, patriotism, brotherhood, duty, honor, and country, and the support, or not, they get from their military families. AND...so far no lectures or political correctness..

There is nothing virtuous about homosexuality. Hallmark should go back to studying the Bible.

When Hallmark decided to ignore their loyal viewers and start adding sodomite characters to their movies, they lost me forever.
And much like the NFL, I haven't missed them at all.

A THEME is different from reality.
Reality is: There are multiple statements in scripture advising homosexuality be avoided.

LGBTQ is adult sexual games. That's your personal choices, and your private life. It is not a for a publicly released Christian movie. Please be respectful. I do not appreciate insults thrown in my face.

Why does everything have to be infected with the LGBTQ agenda? We're talking about a small percentage of the population, yet every TV show, movie, book has one or more gay characters. What is really irritating is the representations don't resemble most of the gays I've known over the years who are deeply unhappy people who drink to excess, take drugs, can get very nasty when under the influence, and go through "relationships" like I go through kleenex.

Hallmark just saved me $75 bucks a month, since the only reason we kept cable was for the wifes Hallmark movies. As for the very overpriced cards, donating to some of the honest veterans organizations will get you more cards than you can use. There's also Dollar Tree, where all the cards are $1.

I don't care whether there is a gay story line on Hallmark. Hallmark's movies are typically sickeningly sweet. At least the main character is handsome.
The movie would be better if it was more along the lines of The Village People stepping in to do the Nativity pageant when all the actors had to quarantine because of COVID-19. Now THAT would be entertaining.
Ru Paul as the Blessed Virgin Mary. Madonna as Joseph. Anderson Cooper as an aging Baby Jesus. The Queer Eye guys as the glamping in a field while keeping watch over their flocks by night. And a band of lesbian Hell's Angels riding in to the the glamping shepherds in order to proclaiming "Glory to God in the Highest! And peace on earth and good will to everyone EXCEPT Trump voters!"
THAT is entertainment, folks! Hallmark, are you writing this down?

Hey Hallmark: Every family has or knows someone you will breathless portray in something you mistakenly call a holiday themed movie. You would have a screaming raging hissy fit if believers in the true meaning of Christmas made another movie for you to make ACLU fun of. You would like having it crammed down your throat about like me and mine will.

Deeper and deeper into the immoral abyss they go. Can just imagine the story - Gay lead in story waits up to catch Santa when he comes down the chimney and surprise, surprise ole' jolly Santa is gay too! What's next Rudolph the Red nose reindeer transitions to a female?
Enough with the force feeding of this cultural rot.

Older Hallmark movies were much better. The production value more expensive and it shows. We cut cable off two years ago so I am not affected.

So, the hypocrisy of the actor described as the main character is that he plays a heterosexual in other Hallmark movies. And the guy who is playing his "husband" is hetrosexual in "real life". This world is so messed up!!!
Hallmark movies have always been sappy, romantic, and corny. This "transition" (pun intended) is going to cost them most of their viewership. Stupid move (like in sports) to mollify the lowest common denominator watching or participating in society. The majority is FORCED to accept.
Well, Hallmark, I don't accept. Merry LBGTQXYZ Holidays to you--I'll stick with DVDs or old stuff. Sad.

When he was in the closet ("I have terrible luck with women.") he starred in many holiday movies as the straight love interest.
Many of the Hallmark male leads appear to be closeted gays.

I support the right of two consenting adults where neither has undue influence over the other to do whatever they like in private even if it is incredibly ill-advised and destructive to their own souls.
Seeing two guys kiss makes me sick to my stomache as is true with most any straight man, even supporters of LGBTQ+?????.

Why must everything be culturally pozzed? I'd cancel my subscription if I had one; distance from such things was Hallmark TV's claim to fame, never mind that the company itself pushes homosexual marriage so they can sell more greeting cards.
