It's a common belief that our well heeled betters live in a different world than we do.
If they wish to, people of power and means can enjoy the very best nutrition, housing, and health care available. When it comes to buying personal protective equipment, money's simply no object to them.
So why are luminaries like the president, members of the Senate, White House correspondents, and NFL stars coming down with COVID-19?
Because the measures the so-called experts keep blathering about, wearing face masks and social distancing, are next to useless.

Rather than seal the doom of President Trump’s re-election battle, as most of his haters expect and not a few of his supporters fear, I see strong signs that President Trump will use his experience to re-define himself and act as an inflection point, resetting the election. Watch carefully for a “New Trump” to emerge from Walter Reed Hospital, dare I say a kinder, gentler Trump, one humbled by his brush with mortality and a far more sympathetic figure in the eyes of many voters who have found him a bit too much to take.

On September 27, Dan Bongino, Fox News contributor, host of one of the most popular political podcasts, and best selling author (and prior to all of that a former Secret Service agent who served on the presidential protection detail, and a NYC police officer), appeared on Fox and Friends (6-9 A.M. E.T.) and confirmed that he had a serious health issue involving a tumor in his neck. Earlier this morning (snip) appearing from a hotel room in NYC, announced that he would be having surgery at a New York hospital on Wednesday to determine the extent of the tumor and its treatment.

The dramatic events of the last week will be studied for decades, and much information remains unknown. (snip) Omar Navarro, a Republican politician in California, developed the theme: “1.RBG dies. 2. Trump announces he will nominate new justice before election. 3. Pelosi makes “Arrow in our quivers comment to stop him.” (snip) In the almost four years since Trump has become president, Republicans have suffered three potentially mass fatality events.

Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump are reported in the media to be rivals of sorts.
Well, here's a rivaly no one would want to hope for: Which of the two has the lousiest former friends.
(snip) Chelsea Clinton has stepped forward into the spotlight, to tell everyone why she refuses to speak to her longtime childhood friend, Ivanka Trump, and it's a doozy. (snip) Chelsea Clinton, 40, said she and Ivanka Trump haven't spoken since 2016. During the discussion with host Andy Cohen, Clinton criticized the first daughter for "actively taking part in this administration's everyday collision of cruelty and incompetence."

Election season is in full swing, with October surprises popping up like a jack-in-the-box at any moment. (snip)President Trump was flown to Walter Reed Medical Center for "the next few days," not because he was sick, but as a "precautionary" measure.(snip)Trump's actual symptoms are unknown but obviously not severe if he could walk unassisted from the White House to Marine One. (snip) The Regeneron cocktail, rumored to be called the Covfefe Double Shot, is a "novel two-antibody cocktail, REGN-COV2, with potential to diminish risk of viral escape by effectively binding to the virus's critical spike protein in two separate, non-overlapping locations."

At 1:00 a.m. on Friday, President Trump notified the world that he and Melania have tested positive for the Wuhan virus. All decent people should hope he recovers quickly because he is a fellow human being and because he is the President of the United States of America. The left, however, has a massive cohort of indecent people. Within minutes of Trump’s announcement, leftists, many of whom are clearly Biden supporters, went on the ugliest Twitter rampage I’ve ever seen.

Some men are alphas, like President Trump, and some men are betas, like Al Gore and the sneering, puffing Biden. And then there are men who aren’t even strong enough to be betas. They are, instead, weak, mewling creatures who lack either presence or power, and who then cry about it afterward. Chris Wallace and John Roberts, both employees at Fox News, have exhibited behavior that’s so craven and humiliated themselves so badly in the eyes of Fox News’s core audience that they should be retired immediately.
It all started with Chris Wallace’s stint as a debate moderator for the first presidential debate.

Utterly predictably, the Commission Presidential Debates, along with the grandees of the (progressive) mainstream media, has come to precisely the wrong conclusion on changes to the form of presidential debates, in the wake of Chris Wallace’s inept moderation of the first of three presidential debates.
T"he Commission on Presidential Debates announced Wednesday that it would consider changes to the remaining debates, citing the need for 'structure' after Tuesday night's often chaotic affair was marked by repeated interruptions." (snip) A no-holds-bared debate, with the moderator’s role minimal, would far better help acquaint voters with the substance and character of each candidate. If one of them interrupts the other, so what?

With 24 hours having passed since the first presidential debate, it’s becoming clear that Trump won in a big way. It wasn’t an apparent victory, but it was a real one: He showed his base and ordinary Americans that he will always fight while forcing Biden to disavow both his hard-left base and the last of the old-fashioned Democrats who still support him
Don’t pay too much attention to the pessimistic pundits. The worriers worried, the haters hated, the ambivalent were ambivalent, the cheerleaders cheered. Personality may not be destiny, but it determines post-debates reviews.

It’s crystal clear that the media branch of the Democrat party thinks that Joe Biden blew it last night and damaged his electoral prospects in the first of 3 scheduled debates with President Trump. There seems to be pretty widespread consensus on the left that when it comes to Biden, the less voters know about him by watching him in a presidential spotlight, the better. (snip) "This is a disgrace, a low point in American debate history. There is no reason, not one, that Joe Biden should participate in another debate," MSNBC host Joe Scarborough tweeted.

If I were a betting woman, I’d say that, over the next month, we’re going to see a steady drip, followed by an onrushing stream, of information about the corrupt origins and practices behind the Russia hoax. (snip) The CIA learned through intercepts that Russia believed Hillary planned to raise false claims against Trump, accusing him of dirty dealings with the Russians. Brennan took this information to Obama and other national security people. A month later, a letter went to the FBI telling them that they needed to look into Hillary’s alleged dirty dealings.
So what did Comey and Strzok do? They went after Trump.
