Mitt Romney’s announcement that he will vote on President Trump’s nominee to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court “based on their qualifications” is getting plenty of media attention. But for some reason, Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski’s much more surprising announcement that she can’t rule out voting for a nominee, reversing her position last week is getting no MSM attention at all (snip) They are going to try to goad or trap the nominee into supporting things that they think their voters will react strongly to. This means gang rape fantasies or charges of secret cannibalism and the like are probably not on the agenda.

Hmm....maybe Mittens figured he'd better not run with the Dems this time or HIS parking space would be in Anacostia.

The RATS probably figured they'd get too much heat if they plan to drag someone like Amy Coney Barnett through the mud ... you know Catholic, mother of 7, two adopted interracial kids, one special needs. That would really work with the soccer moms in the suburbs. As much as finding out Starbucks was out of Pumpkin Spice Latte, if you get my drift. But the problem is they still have to find a way to dirty her (or any other nominee) up so they can paint the vulnerable GOP incumbent Senators as un-redeemable creatures. If the nominee is treated like a nice, normal person (aka no Kavanaugh treatment), well then, people are going to say, I'm okay that Senator Republican-in-a-close-race is voting for that nice lady. I guess I'll vote for him/her. The question is, will someone like a Doug Jones (D-AL) think his ONLY chance is to vote for the nominee (I doubt it) or Manchin (D-WV) decides to break ranks. But since he's not up for four years, I'm betting against it. Chuckie Schumer doesn't hand out the "Go Vote to Fool the Rubes Back Home" card until the year you're up for re-election.

Why did Lifson bother with Joy Behar’s and Whoopi Goldberg’s opinions? They are only a couple of sour old broads whose rants are forced on us in medical waiting rooms across the country. Their “opinions” are without merit.

They all know the former Senator Flake, and Murkowski already lost one GOP primary. She can't pull off that write-in ballot trick twice. In this environment no Democrat is going to write in a Republican. When CNN’s Chris Cillizza is certain Mitch has the votes, you know it's over. I don't know how it got that typed out without his tears shorting out his keyboard. :-)

Maybe someone reminded Lisa Murkowski, that Alaska was 1 of 4 states who already had legal abortions prior to Roe v Wade, which means it would not mean a bit of difference to the people of the State of Alaska if Roe is overturned, as they'd still have legal abortion. New York, Washington and Hawaii were the other 3, so Chuck Schumer should not worry about the possibility Roe v Wade being overturned would affect any of his constituents either.

Wow. Murkowski flipped. One should ask why. Maybe the nominee actually is OK with the Democrats though they will never say so. Therefore, no need for Romney and Murkowski to stick their necks out. Don't forget, good help is hard to find in Washington. Beware of closet big government lefties!

WOW! Murkowski gave in? Hell must have moved to Alaska ad's and is freezing over. Sure the dems will chitter and screech and throw their own poop like the monkeys they are but it sounds like they have lost and they know it. They probably also know they have lost the election and that will be confirmed at the debate on Tuesday. Their only option will then be to go completely insane, cry HAVOC and let slip the dogs of war. After 4 more years of Trump, there won't be much left of anything "progressive" and no-one will miss it in the least. We need to be ready for their "war" and put an end to them.

I think Murkowski was told she would be primaried in 2022 and her funding cut off. Plus, her constituents have probably made their preference known (not that she cares).

The hard left magazine has discovered that federal law enforcement agencies (though not the FBI) have been tracing who the mobs in Portland have been communicating with. The truth has finally emerged about Breonna Taylor’s death this past March. It turns out (surprise!) that the Democrat party – in Congress, in the media, and on the streets – has been lying. Taylor was not a complete innocent whom racist police slaughtered in her bed during a no-knock raid. Instead, she was the victim of her poor choices in men: Her friendship with a local drug kingpin justified the raid and her boyfriend’s decision to open fire on police who had knocked and identified themselves led to her shooting. That certainly doesn’t mean she deserved to die, but it explains why she did.

And the option to federalize the National Guard. Mafia intimidation and brownshirt street violence won’t be met with the same, but with the force of law and justice.

The first presidential debate is next Tuesday, and I don't see Biden surviving. His campaign has been playing "hide the Crypt-Keeper" since spring, occasionally proving to the public that he's still ticking by having him tussle with a teleprompter while "objective journalists" participate in make-believe interviews. Biden's cognitive decline is now so steep that he begins reading pre-written answers to pre-written questions, forgets what he's doing halfway through, and settles for stringing syllables together that sound English-y in a non–native speaker sort of way. He is a man forever in search of a thought but finding none

One might not be incredibly surprised to hear about masses of Trump-supporters rallying and taking part in patriotic parades in red states like Texas and even swing states like Florida, but eyebrows tend to rise when they begin happening in the capital city of the most important political stronghold of the Democratic Party. Donald Trump has outsourced his Middle East policy to his son-in-law Jared Kushner. At best, it would be a waste of time, as Kushner had no experience in foreign policy. At worst, he will use this opportunity to line his own pockets. That was one of the many lines of attacks waged by the mainstream media on President Trump. Why is amateur Kushner in the White House at all, they asked indignantly? Then something unexpected happened: The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain announced peace deals with Israel. California Governor Gavin Newsom announced Wednesday that the state will ban sales of gas-powered vehicles, effective in 2035. Newsom said that the “audacious” goal was necessary to achieve the state’s goal of 100% renewable energy by 2045. Newsom said that his new executive order would “eliminate” the sales of “internal combustion engines” and move to electric vehicles — a move that he said would create jobs and allow California to “dominate” the market, and address climate change. Those who currently own gas-powered vehicles would still be allowed to operate them and to sell them on the used market.
