Actress Ali Wentworth said she and her husband, Good Morning America anchor George Stephanopoulos, both ended up crying in the family car for 45 minutes after he told her that Ruth Bader Ginsburg had died. The 55-year-old appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan on Monday where she revealed the deeply personal moment on air. Wentworth explained how the family were out to dinner on Friday night when they heard the 87-year-old Supreme Court Justice had died.

Imagine hating yourself enough to watch a presidential debate featuring Donald Trump. What reason would you possibly have? To make sure he’s a lying sociopath? To see if he’s a worse choice than Joe Biden? To gain useful insights into American politics? In truth, there is no point, especially in a format that will involve remote participation because of the pandemic. Nothing will be revealed that we don’t already know and know so thoroughly that we can barely stand to hear it again. We could cancel the upcoming debates and lose nothing. Hell, we’d gain precious minutes of our lives

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced Wednesday that the state will ban sales of gas-powered vehicles, effective in 2035. Newsom said that the “audacious” goal was necessary to achieve the state’s goal of 100% renewable energy by 2045.
Newsom said that his new executive order would “eliminate” the sales of “internal combustion engines” and move to electric vehicles — a move that he said would create jobs and allow California to “dominate” the market, and address climate change. Those who currently own gas-powered vehicles would still be allowed to operate them and to sell them on the used market.

Cindy McCain endorsed Democrat Joe Biden for president Tuesday in a rebuke of President Donald Trump by the widow of the GOP's 2008 nominee. Trump has had a fraught relationship with members of John McCain's family since he disparaged the Arizona senator during his 2016 campaign. But the McCains have until now stopped short of endorsing Trump's rivals. Cindy McCain cited the decades long friendship between her family and Biden's and their bond as the parents of children serving in the military. “He supports the troops and knows what it means for someone who has served.”

CNN host Don Lemon proposed radically changing the U.S. political system to take power away from the "minority" vote in the country. During the hand-off before his show Monday night, Lemon debated fellow network host Chris Cuomo by arguing Democrats should push to eliminate the Electoral College, which would require a constitutional amendment. Lemon said such a feat was possible if Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden wins the presidency and Democrats "stack the courts." "Until you have a group of people that decide to consistently be better than what they reject, you’re going to have people in the exact position

“Mean Girls” actor Jonathan Bennett will star in Hallmark’s first LGBTQ-themed holiday movie, “The Christmas House,” the network announced Wednesday. About two months ago, the Hallmark Channel announced that its 2020 holiday movie selection would include LGBTQ storylines, characters and actors. Now, the television cable channel is making good on its promise.
“Our holiday table is bigger and more welcoming than ever,” Michelle Vicary, the executive VP of programming at Crown Media, Hallmark’s parent company, said Wednesday. “This year’s movies reflect our most diverse representation of talent, narratives, and families, including ‘The Christmas House’, featuring a storyline about a gay couple looking to adopt their first child,

Donald Trump has outsourced his Middle East policy to his son-in-law Jared Kushner. At best, it would be a waste of time, as Kushner had no experience in foreign policy. At worst, he will use this opportunity to line his own pockets.
That was one of the many lines of attacks waged by the mainstream media on President Trump. Why is amateur Kushner in the White House at all, they asked indignantly? Then something unexpected happened:
The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain announced peace deals with Israel. This good news for the world was bad news for the media.

As the Senate prepares for yet another brutal Supreme Court nomination fight, one particularly sensitive issue is creating apprehension among Democrats: what to do with 87-year-old Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee.
Feinstein, the oldest member of the Senate, is widely respected by senators in both parties, but she has noticeably slowed in recent years. Interviews with more than a dozen Democratic senators and aides show widespread concern over whether the California Democrat is capable of leading the aggressive effort Democrats need against whoever President Donald Trump picks to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Actress and 'Defund the police' activist Alyssa Milano was quick to call cops when she believed an armed gunman was on her Bell Canyon property on Sunday morning. The call ignited a response that included seven Ventura County Sheriffs' vehicles, one K-9 unit, a police helicopter and one Los Angeles Fire Department team that sat down the street on standby. (Snip) Alyssa Milano's gate sat open with law enforcement guarding the entire perimeter of the street, as these DailyMail.com photos show.
The search by air and street level lasted over three hours and ended abruptly at

Seattle now has on its payroll a convicted pimp who once vowed to “go to war” with the city—a $150,000 “street czar” whose mission is to come up with “alternatives to policing,” reports said. Andre Taylor—who appeared in the documentary “American Pimp” about his life as “Gorgeous Dre”—is getting $12,500 per month for a year, along with an office in Seattle’s Municipal Tower, according to the contract published by PubliCola. It comes just a year after his organization, Not This Time, was paid $100,000 to sponsor a speaker series that was called “Conversations with the Streets.” Taylor led one of the first rallies in Seattle

Mars Inc. has renamed its Uncle Ben’s rice products “Ben’s Original,” making it the latest food producer to ditch a brand steeped in racist imagery. The Virginia-based company is also scrapping the portrait of a white-haired black man that has adorned its rice boxes for decades—an image that’s long been criticized as a racist stereotype. “We’re still in the process of deciding on what our new iconography will be, but are committed to ensuring that it will be truly reflective of the inclusive future we are striving to create for Ben’s Original,” a Mars Food spokesperson said in a statement.

The first presidential debate is next Tuesday, and I don't see Biden surviving. His campaign has been playing "hide the Crypt-Keeper" since spring, occasionally proving to the public that he's still ticking by having him tussle with a teleprompter while "objective journalists" participate in make-believe interviews. Biden's cognitive decline is now so steep that he begins reading pre-written answers to pre-written questions, forgets what he's doing halfway through, and settles for stringing syllables together that sound English-y in a non–native speaker sort of way. He is a man forever in search of a thought but finding none
