Duncan, SC—Duncan Police Department officials said a man faces multiple charges, including voyeurism, following an incident at a restaurant Sunday morning. According to Duncan Police Chief Carl Long, a 15-year-old girl claims that a man—identified as 53-year-old Douglas Lane, of Charlotte, NC—was looking at her while she was in the women’s bathroom at Cracker Barrel, located at 1525 E. Main St in Duncan. She said she noticed something moving at her feet and realized it was a man’s head coming from the stall beside her. The idea of a gang of dads beating up an eight time sex offender after bothering two girls is both amusing and delightful. Judging by the picture I’d say the man got off easy.

President Trump signed an executive order Tuesday barring federal funds from any contractors who conduct critical-race theory diversity training, saying it promotes a “destructive ideology.” Expanding on action the White House took earlier this month with federal agencies, the president said the administration won’t allow “race or sex stereotyping or scapegoating in the federal workforce” and won’t permit contractors “to inculcate such views in their employees.” “Such ideas may be fashionable in the academy, but they have no place in programs and activities supported by federal taxpayer dollars,” the president said. “Research also suggests that blame-focused diversity training reinforces biases and decreases opportunities

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced Wednesday that the state will ban sales of gas-powered vehicles, effective in 2035. Newsom said that the “audacious” goal was necessary to achieve the state’s goal of 100% renewable energy by 2045. Newsom said that his new executive order would “eliminate” the sales of “internal combustion engines” and move to electric vehicles — a move that he said would create jobs and allow California to “dominate” the market, and address climate change. Those who currently own gas-powered vehicles would still be allowed to operate them and to sell them on the used market.

As the Senate prepares for yet another brutal Supreme Court nomination fight, one particularly sensitive issue is creating apprehension among Democrats: what to do with 87-year-old Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee. Feinstein, the oldest member of the Senate, is widely respected by senators in both parties, but she has noticeably slowed in recent years. Interviews with more than a dozen Democratic senators and aides show widespread concern over whether the California Democrat is capable of leading the aggressive effort Democrats need against whoever President Donald Trump picks to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

The first presidential debate is next Tuesday, and I don't see Biden surviving. His campaign has been playing "hide the Crypt-Keeper" since spring, occasionally proving to the public that he's still ticking by having him tussle with a teleprompter while "objective journalists" participate in make-believe interviews. Biden's cognitive decline is now so steep that he begins reading pre-written answers to pre-written questions, forgets what he's doing halfway through, and settles for stringing syllables together that sound English-y in a non–native speaker sort of way. At the end of the 16th century, the advancing age of Queen Elizabeth I posed a throne-shakingly serious problem for England's future. Her reign had been largely peaceful and notably prosperous, and would be looked back upon as a golden age by future generations. However, since she had no children, it was not certain who would succeed her — and rival claims to the throne had previously led to a ruinous civil war that only ended with the accession of Elizabeth's grandfather, Henry VII. Anxiety that history could repeat itself was widespread, and can still be read between the lines of plays like Henry V and Hamlet that Shakespeare
