Being In ‘Violation’ Of RBG ‘Wish’

Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) threatened that Democrats should consider packing the Supreme Court if Republicans move to fill the seat vacated by the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. NPR reported that Ginsburg “dictated” the following statement to her granddaughter Clara Spera: “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.” “The very last dying wish of RBG was that her vacancy not be filled until the new president takes office in January. That was her dying wish,” Ocasio-Cortez said on Friday.

There is no proof that Justice G. said that. We have to take the word of her granddaughter. I don't believe it. I just wish JRG had retired earlier instead of staying on until her dying day. Now, that was not prudent! She knew Pres. Trump would nominate someone immediately if she died. Go peddle your lies to those too ignorant to know any better.

If you have ever been at the bedside of someone who is dying it is hard to believe that the person would make such a wish or directive. I think it is incredibly sad (and unbelievable) that your final wish would be about work. What a sad, sad, way to go. It has to be fake news.

After Trump’s re-election maybe he should increase the size of SCOTUS to 13. Then appoint 4 more justices immediately and eventually 2-3 more to replace those who will retire.

How do we even KNOW that Ginsburg SAID this? Not that it amounts top a hill of beans had she rented out billboards in every city in America over 100K population and made it know that way... but somebody SAID this was her dying wish. Ginsburg should know that makes it nothing but HEARSAY. And hearsay is for the most part worthless. And given the strong motivation for a group who has shown NO reticence to lie through their teeth, I bet she did NOT say this at all. She may have mentioned it to someone at some point in time prior to her death. I get that. But her LAST DYING WISH? I am calling bullsh... on the underlying premise.

Ginsburg knew years ago she was terminal, and she stayed on because she didn't want a Republican President naming a conservative to the bench to replace her. That alone is enough to do just the opposite of what she is suppose to have wanted. No one will ever convince me that she was in the right frame of mind to participate in judgements on the Supreme Court. McCain was the same way. Up until he kicked the bucket, he fought against anything Trump wanted to do. He went out a sore loser with his name along side Benedict Arnold.

OC again points out the fact that she doesn't understand the basic fact that our government and it's institutions are not a Democracy. Our nation and it's governmental institutions are not a Democracy. Our founders in their immense wisdom set up a representative Constitutional Republic. She was elected to represent her small constituency as is the case with each member of Congress. The Constitution was given to us to restrain people like her from running rough shod over the rights of those who she disagrees with. Those rights are not given by men to be taken away at the whim of the mob. They are given by God to be preserved and protected by a Supreme Court rightly deciding cases based on what the Constitution, as now amended, actually says not on what the court or AOC and her mob wish it to say.

I have been at many passings and dying wishes are usually that the person dying soon join their dead relatives that gather by their bed to welcome them home. It is creepy and reassuring to hear people talking to deceased husbands and children.

It is obvious that RBG wanted Donald Trump to pick her replacement. That is why she refused to step down and allow BO to pick. She was a friend of the leading conservative on the court and she fought for men's equal rights under the law. I'd say that at least equals or surpasses some quote the granddaughter made up, which has absolutely no bearing on future events. The proof is in the actions taken. She had an opportunity to install a progressive justice replacement and she ignored it.

I actually don’t believe there is anything wrong with “RBG’s wish.” However, just because that was her wish doesn’t mean it should happen. The selection of a new justice should follow the confirmation process and democrats need to have a compelling reason other than, “...because it was the wish of RBG.” People are getting tired of show-trials, bloviating, investigations, and political egos. I think the response to her passing is more orchestrated than we’re being led to believe. Everybody had too many prepared statements and opinions. The Democratic Party is really losing its relevance; the hollowness of the party was evident after Trump won in 2016. Admittedly, Trump adds his own shade if ridiculousness to the Republican Party, but they have pretty strong bench for after when Trump is no longer president. I can’t figure out who the next generation of Democrats are. If they had a “next generation,” Biden wouldn’t be the nominee and Pelosi and Schumer wouldn’t be in leadership roles. Everybody always thinks they’re more important than they really are.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) confirmed in a Sunday statement that she opposes replacing the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before the November election.“For weeks, I have stated that I would not support taking up a potential Supreme Court vacancy this close to the election. Sadly, what was then a hypothetical is now our reality, but my position has not changed,” Murkowski said, according to The Hill.“I did not support taking up a nomination eight months before the 2016 election to fill the vacancy created by the passing of Justice Scalia. We are now even closer to the 2020 election – less than two months out – and

As news of the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg spread, the left-wing twittersphere exploded. Ginsburg was widely seen as single-handedly holding back the blood-thirsty reactionary Trump-crazy hordes. The Independent’s Holly Baxter lamented: “Sometimes it felt like she was America’s last hope.” Ginsburg’s passing loosed fear, frustration, anger, and defiance among the liberal legions. The politics of her replacement immediately dominated their thoughts. Many cited as holy doctrine her comment, reported by her granddaughter: “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.” Others insisted that if Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell

A leading Democratic activist and former adviser to Hillary Clinton argued on Friday that President Trump's replacement for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will inevitably be "illegitimate." "Any Supreme Court with a Trump justice confirmed to Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat at this point in the calendar would be fundamentally illegitimate, and Democrats must be prepared to act accordingly," Brian Fallon, who served as press secretary for the Clinton campaign, tweeted Friday. Fallon added early Saturday morning that Democrats should add seats to the nation's highest court if the "GOP rams Trump pick" through the Senate.

Leo Guinan (“he/him”) has bravely and smugly gone public with his decision to blackmail his father for being a Trump supporter. Unless daddy changes his ways, he’ll never see his grandchildren again. Guinan oozes self-righteous hatred. The only good thing about his post is that people were appalled and contemptuous. (snip) This wonderful human being wrote a now-viral post entitled, “Today I Gave My Dad A Choice: Trump or His Grandkids and His Son.” He explains that he was traumatized by finding a Trump sign in his father’s yard.

A large sculpture of a donkey that was designed to be a Democratic symbol was destroyed in a Maine town overnight Saturday after someone set the structure ablaze. Rep. Seth Berry described the incident in Bowdoinham as “an act of arson and of political terrorism" after the traveling donkey, which was named Mr. H, was set on fire at around 2 a.m. on the property of Theresa Turgeon, a former select board member. “Mr. H took two full years to build,” Berry, who serves under the Democratic Party, wrote on Facebook. “He was larger than life, perhaps 7 feet tall

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Sunday would not rule out impeachment as an option to stop President Trump’s U.S. Supreme Court pick from being confirmed to the bench, saying Democrats will “use every arrow in our quiver” to block the eventual nominee. Just hours after it was announced that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had passed away on Friday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., vowed that a Trump nominee to the Supreme Court to fill her vacancy “will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.” During an interview on ABC News’ “This Week,” Pelosi
