House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Breitbart News in an exclusive statement Sunday that, through using his vision for a House Republican majority, they can help President Donald Trump “renew” the American dream.
“When Republicans had the majority, we worked with President Trump to get our nation back on track and deliver wins for the American people,” McCarthy told Breitbart News.
McCarthy’s comments to Breitbart News follows a letter he sent to his House Republican colleagues that they will unveil their “Restore, Rebuild, Renew” project. The outline will detail the House Republicans’ policy platform for a potential House GOP majority in the 117th Congress.

Sure they will! The GOP in congress is worthless. With few exceptions they have been AWOL for the last 4 years. Sure, I'll hold my nose and vote for them to keep the Dims from further destroying the country, but who are they trying to kid with that "renew the American dream BS"? They will still let the Dims run circles around them. The only people who give me any reason to vote Republican are the Democrats.

McCarthy must think we forget what a little rat fink Speaker Ryan was who obstructed and fought Trump with Democrats behind his back. Kevin is a bunch of rehearsed talking points and I have yet to hear any original policy ideas coming from him. We must pray conservative caucus blocks this overly-cautious wimp from ascending to Speaker.

Kevin McCarthy is no better than Paul Ryan. He needs to go and we need someone strong that will support the president and it is NOT him.

When Trump was elected he had a republican majority. They couldn't get rid of obamacare or provide funding for the wall. What makes you think it would be any different this time around?

When Democrats have the minority of seats in the House or Senate, they throw every rule in the book at the parliamentarian and gum up the works. Or, if necessary, they throw every rule out. Or, more often, they simply make it up as they go and let the media carry the can.
Eunuchs - sorry - Republicans moan about such tactics when they have the majority but do nothing. And, of course, when they have the minority they do less than nothing - except to moan even longer and louder.
Their Little League 'We'll get 'em next year' is as pathetic as it is predictable.

We'll cross that bridge when WE take back the house....for now WE must support our President and make sure WE vote in person.....the house republicans have been useless for fifty years... I don't see them changing... there's to much lobby money coming from K Street and then there's also the Epstein video concerns...blackmail is a powerful DC tool....

President Trumps first two years received no help from a Republican congress who then turned it over the Nancy Pelosi. I blame Paul Ryan for that. It better change now if Republicans gain the Congress and hold the Senate. There's no room for RINOs and obstruction by democrats.

The Republicans forfeited the House to Pelosi, Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff in '18 for a reason: To impeach PDT. They UNIPARTY wanted him gone, and the Republicans couldn't do it. They essentially put out a hit with their partners. Don't kid yourselves. Otherwise explain the strange behavior of Paul Ryan and the failure of the GOP to support competitive seats in that election. There are always wheels in motion in Washington...PDT is still their target.

Of this we can be sure and certain: a democrat-controlled House will do nothing but make mischief and create distractions. We need to free the president from that mischief so that he can continue to help the country.

I agree that the Republicans in the House and Senate have failed to give President Trump proper backing. BUT, unless the Democrats are placed in the minority in both the House and Senate, they will be able to continue doing everything possible to destroy President Trump and the United States along with him.

In 2016 the Republicans had all three branches of government and they couldn't tie their shoelaces. They were pathetic. Except for the really conservative members of the House and the Senate, Republicans are worthless. They are cowards. The Squad valley girls run rings around them. Devin Nunes was the only one that used his committee to try to protect Trump against the coup attempt. And when the Dems and media came after him only a handful of his colleagues in the House defended him.
But, we have no choice but to support them our with time and money. Democrats must be resoundingly defeated in November. They must be crushed so badly, that it will take decades for them to recover. That is the only way to save this country.

I hope one of McCarthy's flunkies is monitoring this thread....so he can let his or her boss know that there are a good number of us who think that he's as worthless as Opie was--McCarthy walks the walk only when it suits his needs or goals.
You don't rise to a position of power in that cesspool without kissing significant ass, both internally and with K Street.

It would be nice to remind people that the economy grew under GOP Congress over the last 15-20 years versus a Dem agenda. And, if you want to go back to 1995 GOP House, the fiscal deficit was actually turned into a surplus, not because of anything Clinton promised, or campaigned on either - he didn't.
Make sure you have plenty of campaign workers and ballot harvesters in California working just as hard as the Democrats did in 2018 too.

#1 has it. McCarthy is a Rino weasel who thinks Q is a bigger threat than Democrats. He is Paul Ryan redux.

How about the pubbies from both houses kneel and confess the mistake in not supporting President Trump and admit they were wrong. And then, swear an oath to follow his lead and support him during his next term. Why should we have to hold our noses, how about they should give us a reason to vote for them.

If the Republicans can take back the house, we won't have to worry about the leftist wet dream of a President Piglousi should the election results be held hostage by the left. Yet ANOTHER reason to vote straight down-ticket, even if it means holding your nose.
