Exclusive — Kevin McCarthy: House Republican
Majority Would ‘Renew’ American Dream

Original Article

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Breitbart News in an exclusive statement Sunday that, through using his vision for a House Republican majority, they can help President Donald Trump “renew” the American dream. “When Republicans had the majority, we worked with President Trump to get our nation back on track and deliver wins for the American people,” McCarthy told Breitbart News. McCarthy’s comments to Breitbart News follows a letter he sent to his House Republican colleagues that they will unveil their “Restore, Rebuild, Renew” project. The outline will detail the House Republicans’ policy platform for a potential House GOP majority in the 117th Congress.

Comments:

If the Republicans can take back the house, we won't have to worry about the leftist wet dream of a President Piglousi should the election results be held hostage by the left. Yet ANOTHER reason to vote straight down-ticket, even if it means holding your nose.

Sure they will! The GOP in congress is worthless. With few exceptions they have been AWOL for the last 4 years. Sure, I'll hold my nose and vote for them to keep the Dims from further destroying the country, but who are they trying to kid with that "renew the American dream BS"? They will still let the Dims run circles around them. The only people who give me any reason to vote Republican are the Democrats.

McCarthy must think we forget what a little rat fink Speaker Ryan was who obstructed and fought Trump with Democrats behind his back. Kevin is a bunch of rehearsed talking points and I have yet to hear any original policy ideas coming from him. We must pray conservative caucus blocks this overly-cautious wimp from ascending to Speaker.

When Trump was elected he had a republican majority. They couldn't get rid of obamacare or provide funding for the wall. What makes you think it would be any different this time around?

Just like in EVERY CASE , when Republicans pick up power, the economy does better. When dim-0s pick up power, the economy falters. It happened when carter gained the WH, the economy got WORSE. It happened when Reagan gained the WH, the economy got BETTER. It happened when clinton gained the WH, economic growth dropped from over 4%, to about 2% 2 years later. It happened in jan '95, when Republicans took over congress, the economy caught fire and sported some of the best times in our history, including balanced budgets and even a PROJECTED surplus. It happened in jan '01 when W. gained the WH. He inherited a recession, a crashing market and 9-11 with terrorists in our country planning and training. He turned that into the longest running jobs expansion in our history with an average 5.2% unemployment number. It happened AGAIN in jan '07, when dim-0 gained control of congress promising "CHANGE" from the 4.4% unemployment, mid 4% economic growth, and the longest running jobs expansion in the history of the nation. "CHANGED" to depression. And THEN, obama was elected in 2008. 8 "summers of recovery" later, there were MORE people out of work even though the lying sonofabitch claimed to have cut the unemployment number in half. https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS11300000 AND THEN, the best prez in history took over with a Republican congress in jan 2017. The entire economy took off like a ROCKET! Stock market, highest and fastest gains in history! Jobs growth, EXPLODED! All it took was for Trump to come in and get obama out of the economys way. AND in 2018, dim-0s took over the house. The economy was the strongest in OUR HISTORY! Now look at it. After dim-0 gubners shut down their economies to advance the dim-0 presidential campaign of quid pro joe. AND NOW, they want to take over the WH, keep the house and take the Senate! THINK how much damage they could do!! Edit or delete this Bureau of Labor Statistics Data DATA.BLS.GOV Bureau of Labor Statistics Data

When Democrats have the minority of seats in the House or Senate, they throw every rule in the book at the parliamentarian and gum up the works. Or, if necessary, they throw every rule out. Or, more often, they simply make it up as they go and let the media carry the can. Eunuchs - sorry - Republicans moan about such tactics when they have the majority but do nothing. And, of course, when they have the minority they do less than nothing - except to moan even longer and louder. Their Little League 'We'll get 'em next year' is as pathetic as it is predictable.

I don't see them changing... there's to much lobby money coming from K Street and then there's also the Epstein video concerns...blackmail is a powerful DC tool....

President Trumps first two years received no help from a Republican congress who then turned it over the Nancy Pelosi. I blame Paul Ryan for that. It better change now if Republicans gain the Congress and hold the Senate. There's no room for RINOs and obstruction by democrats.

The Republicans forfeited the House to Pelosi, Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff in '18 for a reason: To impeach PDT. They UNIPARTY wanted him gone, and the Republicans couldn't do it. They essentially put out a hit with their partners. Don't kid yourselves. Otherwise explain the strange behavior of Paul Ryan and the failure of the GOP to support competitive seats in that election. There are always wheels in motion in Washington...PDT is still their target.

Of this we can be sure and certain: a democrat-controlled House will do nothing but make mischief and create distractions. We need to free the president from that mischief so that he can continue to help the country.

I agree that the Republicans in the House and Senate have failed to give President Trump proper backing. BUT, unless the Democrats are placed in the minority in both the House and Senate, they will be able to continue doing everything possible to destroy President Trump and the United States along with him.

In 2016 the Republicans had all three branches of government and they couldn't tie their shoelaces. They were pathetic. Except for the really conservative members of the House and the Senate, Republicans are worthless. They are cowards. The Squad valley girls run rings around them. Devin Nunes was the only one that used his committee to try to protect Trump against the coup attempt. And when the Dems and media came after him only a handful of his colleagues in the House defended him. But, we have no choice but to support them our with time and money. Democrats must be resoundingly defeated in November. They must be crushed so badly, that it will take decades for them to recover. That is the only way to save this country.

It would be nice to remind people that the economy grew under GOP Congress over the last 15-20 years versus a Dem agenda. And, if you want to go back to 1995 GOP House, the fiscal deficit was actually turned into a surplus, not because of anything Clinton promised, or campaigned on either - he didn't. Make sure you have plenty of campaign workers and ballot harvesters in California working just as hard as the Democrats did in 2018 too.

How about the pubbies from both houses kneel and confess the mistake in not supporting President Trump and admit they were wrong. And then, swear an oath to follow his lead and support him during his next term. Why should we have to hold our noses, how about they should give us a reason to vote for them.

We’ve seen what a train wreck it is just to have Joe Biden do simple things like give a speech or answer questions in an interview. He even appears to need a teleprompter to do softball interviews with James Corden, as we reported. His team has refused to answer questions about his use of a teleprompter and they evaded the question yet again, instead claiming he is “out there everyday, taking questions” which in fact is not the case. [Video] He’s largely avoided taking questions except for a couple of softball questions over the course of the whole week, hardly taking questions “everyday.”

The left always finds a reason to pick on Donald Trump. Without fail, they always find a reason to be upset with him, spending a good deal of their time digging into his past. For years now, they have Dubbed President Trump, “Captain Bonespurs” in relation to Trump’s deferments during the Vietnam era. Trump received five deferments during that time, 4 for education related deferments and 1 for bad feet, or as diagnosed by a doctor, bone spurs. Well as it turns out, Joe Biden himself also was the beneficiary of numerous deferments during the same era.

Scientists at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine have isolated “the smallest biological molecule” that “completely and specifically neutralizes” the virus that causes coronavirus. The antibody component is 10 times smaller than a full-sized antibody, and has been used to create the drug Ab8, shared in the report published by the researchers in the journal Cell on Monday. The drug is seen as a potential preventative against SARS-CoV-2. According to the report, the drug has been “highly effective in preventing and treating” the SARS-CoV-2 infections in mice and hamsters during tests. The drug also reportedly does not bind to human cells, which suggests it will not have negative side-effects in people.

Wow: Joe Biden’s staff won’t even let him do a “spontaneous” Q&A session without a script. Is he really that far gone? Obsessive scripting is the only explanation for what happened at last week’s Biden question-and-answer session with AFL-CIO union members, when the candidate responded to a young barista’s query with the non sequitur, “Move it up here” — then paused. Anyone who’s been following Biden’s travails recognizes those words as a cue to his aides to jog the teleprompter, as he’s done time and again in recent weeks. (Why an experienced politician with a top-notch staff keeps having this trouble is also worrisome.)

The Team Trump-brokered peace deals that Israel, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates will sign Tuesday won’t end the Middle East’s problems, but they’re big steps in that direction — exactly the opposite of what the left predicted about President Trump’s approach. On Friday, Trump announced that Bahrain agreed to normalize ties with Israel, just a month after the United Arab Emirates did likewise. Kudos to those nations — and to the president. Even the bitterly anti-Trump New York Times admits this “leaves open the possibility” more Arab states will make peace. Fact is, the Trump strategy broke through stale assumptions on the Palestinian-Israeli front,

A new study finds that Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s platform would raise taxes by $3.4 trillion on Americans and corporations over the next decade. The Penn Wharton Budget Model, a nonpartisan group at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, released the study on Monday. In addition to trillions more in taxes, Biden’s platform would raise federal spending by about $5.4 trillion — or roughly 24% of gross domestic product by 2030, Fox Business reported. “The spending plan, which is more than double what Hillary Clinton proposed during the 2016 campaign, would be funded by a slew of new taxes, including a corporate tax hike.

On Monday, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals handed the Trump administration a victory, ruling 2-1 that a preliminary injunction barring implementation of decisions to terminate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designations of Sudan, Nicaragua, Haiti, and El Salvador would be vacated. Ed Whelan noted at National Review, “It might seem surprising that there would be any controversy over DHS’s authority to terminate a temporary designation years later. But after ordering DHS to provide the administrative record for its termination decisions, federal district judge Edward Chen granted plaintiffs (TPS beneficiaries from these countries and their children) injunctive relief based on their claims under the Administrative Procedure Act and the Equal Protection Clause.”

Has the 19th-century German composer Ludwig van Beethoven become a modern symbol of "exclusion and elitism" for rich, white men? In an article published by Vox on Tuesday that quoted New York Philharmonic clarinetist Anthony McGill, writers Nate Sloan and Charlie Harding argued that the work has been propped up by white, wealthy men, whose embrace of the musical composition stood as a symbol of "their superiority and importance." "For others — women, LGBTQ+ people, people of color — Beethoven’s symphony is predominantly a reminder of classical music’s history of exclusion and elitism," Sloan and Harding wrote.
