Former White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders told “The View” co-host on Tuesday that President Donald Trump never disparaged American war dead interned in a French cemetery, while also acknowledging that the president and her late father, Sen. John McCain, never did see eye-to-eye.
Sanders, who made an appearance to promote a new memoir about her time in the Trump White House, pushed back on claims made by anonymous sources quoted in an Atlantic story by Jeffrey Goldberg last week that Trump called U.S. troops and Marines killed during World War I and buried at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery “suckers” and “losers.”

Regardless of whether those words were ever spoken; there is NO way they were ever intended to disparage our military. There are millions of other actual pictures and tapes where our President has demonstrated, clearly, his enormous respect for our military.

Sure is working to distract from the Democrat's riots and how Biden is losing it which of course is the whole purpose of the lie in the first place.

Meghan talks about the importance of character and principles and how the President lacks both. Did she ever look at her father's character?? Talk about character and principles..... she lives with the knowledge that daddy was a traitor.

Vindman is a slimy traitorous lying scum. Any respect for his service evaporated long ago. McCain should have gone to prison for his 'Keating Five' crimes. I respect Mccain's service time but he was a selfish SO in Congress and we have him to thank for Obamacare. He reveled too much in his 'Maverick' reputation and demeaned himself with betraying things he claimed to believe and ran for office on. I wish Trump had never said anything disparaging about McCain - but he did.

Meghan, your Dad was a corrupt, dishonorable POS.
Sincerely:
One of the "Crazies" he derided in 2016.

Meghan, being a buddy to the Al-Nusra Front is not being a person of character and principle.

I wish Sarah would have reminded Whiney McCain that her old man all but hand carried the Steele Dossier to the crooked FBI. I'll bet he's sitting in hell right now re-telling that story over and over again.

"Anonymous sources" is left-wing code for "we're making this up, cover us."
Over a dozen people who were actually there, have gone on record stating it never, ever happened.
So, known people with public support, or unknown "somebodies" who claim it happened...yeah, I don't believe it either.
Secondly; John McCain served in the military. So did Benedict Arnold. In the end, both lost their way and turned against the very thing they once championed; Arnold with his treason, and McCain with his sedition for his part in the "silent coup' that was the impeachment fiasco. Both will not be favored in history.

I would like to add that if these "sources" were real people they would be McCain's instant heroes and would have been guests on the View the day the Atlantic released the story..

What has Meghan ever accomplished? There is only one reason she is on the panel - her last name.
Saddens me to know so many "homemakers" are influenced by a bunch of angry women. A neighbor voted for 0 in '08 because 0prah said to. She was near the front of the line in '12 in a failed attempt to correct her mistake.

About 8 years ago I submitted a reply that included a statement that, to effect, McCain was clearly a RINO. Many folks on this site really just didn’t see that this was a fact. In fact, it got me temporarily banned, as I referred to him as McAnus. I thought this was a brilliant moniker I made up. I hope it doesn’t get me cut off again...
Certainly by now this is readily apparent. He was a wolf in sheep’s clothing, as RINO a RINO as the “beloved” Senator from Utah... This is apparent now and really was then.
Anybody who doesn’t understand that, might accept his daughter’s defense, but his hate for Trump, and Trump’s clear understanding that he was a RINO was a fact, is now manifestly apparent. Anything his daughter says that might be in defense of her father, clearly is understandable since we presume she loved her own father, but also belies the fact that the true supporter of our Armed Forces, is Trump, not the deceased McCain.

The media is a disaster. All anonymous sources Then you get Jennifer Griffith corroborating the Atlantic with more anonymous sources. She then gets all bend out shape when the veracity of her anonymous sources is questioned . There are like 20 people present in the room saying it did not happened and they are completely ignored.
Megan is a lot like her father. A piece of work !

There’s something truly obscene about Meghan McCain lecturing anybody on civil discourse, noble behavior and her father’s virtues. She’s a cow.

This spoiled McCain woman best hold her tongue. One of these days, a real historian/patriot will write the definitive book about the real John McCain. The truth will be known and Mummy’s money cannot do anything about it.

FTA: ''American war dead interned in a French cemetery'' You can bet one word in the above phrase was either an uncorrected typo, or a mistake by the journalist. I can't believe for one moment that Sarah Sanders misused that word. She more than likely said ''interred" and Microsoft's spell check did one of their stupider corrections. Avoid doing your internship in any cemetery.

This thing about President Trump is nothing more than an attempt to distract attention from Pelosi's ''hair blow'' that has embarrassed the democrats tremendously. The fact that Pelosi can't deny it, but only make excuses, really burns them!

Sarah should've lowered the boom on ms mccain. Her father plotted to overthrow a duly elected President. He proved a traitor. I'm late to the party, but daddy mccain was a lowlife.

Once John McCain jumped into State and National politics he became subject to criticism and opposition based upon his political agenda, just as every other politician. Clearly President Trump had big problems with McCain who appeared to favor getting the USA militarily involved in every endless Middle East War out there; while it has always been Trump’s position that the USA should not get militarily involved in the endless Middle East Wars unless it was directly in keeping with US national and security interests. There is no way that McCain and Trump could reconcile such opposing political policies and agendas.

Meghan McCain was never a fan of Donald Trump. On her old radio show, Meghan disparaged and ridiculed Mr. Trump on day one. She also disparaged and ridiculed Trump's supporters. And don't forget she has endorsed Joe Biden. Like her father, she is single minded and mean.

"You're a JERK.", is what McCain said against a retired veteran during a town hall meeting. The veteran accused McCain of gross negligence for not keeping his campaign promises. That certainly revealed McCain's true character against his veteran constituents.

It should be remembered that John McCain dumped his first wife Carol (with whom he had a daughter, Sidney) after his return from Vietnam to find her physically disabled from a car accident. She had been very active in the POW/MIA movement until her accident. Ross Perot, who had paid for Carol's extensive medical treatment, gave his own assessment of the McCain divorce: "After he came home, he walked with a limp, she walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona and the rest is history."
The man was never a person of honor.

She doth protest too much If McCain's daughter had any sense of shame she would retire from her attempts to rehabilitate McCain and maintain a dignified silence. The man was an ill-tempered, vindictive, snarky backstabber with Short Man Syndrome who cozied up to the most vile of gutter dwellers and who wrapped himself in his former POW status as a way to cover for an absence of integrity.. Anything to get attention. His entire political career was a fraud. He was a Democrat warmonger. An anachronism whose closest fellow travelers were people from another era like Scoop Jackson and LBJ ..
